About: I adore animals! I grew up with cats and dogs and have cared for them almost my entire life. I have experience petsitting for family, friends and neighbors as well as volunteering with cats at Whatcom Humane Society. I have a kitty of my own named Oswald who is very spoiled. I work at an elementary school and I’m off work for the summer, so petsitting is my only priority! I am available for drop-in visits and walks every day of the week from mornings to nights (with exceptions, but if I am busy on a certain day I will remove it from my calendar). I am patient, calm, and attentive to the needs of animals. I have many years of practice reading the body language of cats and dogs so I will be considerate of your pet’s boundaries if they are feeling shy. I will work hard to help your pet feel as happy and secure as possible in my presence, whether that’s through pets and cuddles, playing, or just softly talking to them so they can get used to hearing my voice. I am also confident in caring for pets other than cats and dogs (rodents, reptiles, fish, etc.) given that they have a detailed care plan. Whether it be bird, turtle, fish, hamster, or more cats and dogs than I can count I have either owned them or taken care of them. I have experience with all walks of life from fresh to life to the could retire in human years stages. I also have experience in keeping to medication schedules and working around allergies and diets during mealtimes. I also have worked with highly-reactive dogs and am more than willing to put in the time and effort so they are comfortable with me as well as have the skills to help them work through stressful moments. I absolutely cannot wait to meet your pets and help you support them as best I can. I currently work several seasonal jobs so I am super available during the off seasons. I am open for walks or check-ins from 10am-6pm Tuesdays-Sundays and I am available for house sitting on a short notice. I always make sure that your pet’s safety and care is my top priority. For walks I love sticking to areas around the house the pet is already comfortable in or if you and the pet are ok with it going on a bit of an adventure in my car to a local dog park or walking area. If I am staying at your house I always aim to stick to the animals normal schedule, including mealtimes and walk times, to ensure that they are disrupted as little as possible and still feel safe.

Peng is extremely punctual and settled with our shy babies pretty well to the point one would always follow her around the house. Her daily updates and photos helped us keep assured of the well being. She was very prompt in setting up a meet and greet and sharing her focus on care and safety. Stephanie was a spectacular caretaker for our kitty Zeus. It was our first time leaving Zeus alone for more than 2 days and I had peace of mind with Stephanie. She was EXTREMELY caring and attentive to Zeus. She kept us up to date with multiple texts and pictures, and she even brought him different treats and games to play with. I highly recommend Stephanie for looking after your baby. SHE IS AMAZING.
1000% recommend Samanta! I was nervous since it was the first time being away from our 10mo old bengal along with our 15yr old bengal but from day 1 Samanta set my worries aside. She won both of my cats over! She gave very detailed updates each day on their eating, behavior, litter routine, playtime. Lots of pictures and videos which we loved! When we came home both kitties were perfectly happy - I think they were wondering where was Samanta lol. It was also so nice to come back to everything taken care of after the late flight in - she even prepped for the next day which I sooo appreciated. I will definitely seek her out the next time we’re out of town to take care of our kitties!!
