“Stephani was such a wonderful sitter for our handful of dogs, that have their various needs (i.e., prescriptions) and strong personalities being huskies. Our doggos seemed instantly calm with her during the meet and greet, and when we returned they didn't want to leave her side. We are so appreciative of her staying with them and giving them such love and care!”

“She is amazing! Patient , kind, and great with animals!! She fed Malikai and took him out and cater for this big scaredy fluff ball! Thank you so much! I will book again!”

“I have a reactive dog who struggles to meet new people, especially men. And wow! I was totally blown away by how Robert used such confidence and gentleness with my dog. He was able to snag Winston to the dog park for the first time in years successfully. I am honestly so grateful and surprised to have found such a solid dog sitter. I cannot recommend booking him enough!!”
“Arwen did an excellent job caring for our dogs and cats. She was very attentive during the meet and greet and took notes so we could enjoy our vacation without interruption. The dogs took to her very quickly. Will definitely book with her again.”

“Anja took on our 5 month old puppy for the first time for one night. It was our first time leaving her (and our 12yo cat). All went well. She took our pup for a walk that seemed to tire her out from the looks of the pictures she sent. All was in order when we came home.”
“Sydney took great care of Whitney, our high-energy chocolate lab. Sydney house-sat and took Whitney on 4 daily bathroom breaks, and some of these included long neighborhood walks, Ocean Beach and Fort Funston, an 8mi hike in Oakland Regional state park. Since Whitney jumps into water, Sydney also bathed Whitney at least once, and maybe even more I don't know about. Before Sydney left our apartment, she cleaned and organized the apartment. Thanks Sydney!”

“Tyler was super responsive and attentive to the needs of the dog. He took amazing care of our home and ensured our instructions were executed to a t. I would recommend him to anyone else in the future”

“Kristy is amazing and we are so lBlessed to have her watch Kaya and Big. Genuine, caring and authentic care for our doggies this weekend. We were able to enjoy the event knowing that the doggies are in great care and hands with Kristy.”

“I'm so grateful Erica was able to stay with my dog Daisy in last minute. Communication was prompt and clear and she is clean and organized, so glad I found Erica and we'll definitely keep her in mind for future pet sitting!”

“Haley was great with my 3 pups! I was nervous to leave them but she took great care of them while I was gone. She did a meet and greet beforehand which helped me feel comfortable and also helped the dogs feel familiar with her prior to my trip. She dog sat them at my home and even placed the trash out on the curb for it to be picked up without having to be asked. Highly recommend!”

“Margaret is the Best! She took very good care of my cat son Peanut. She even taught him how to “sit” on command. I trust Margaret in my home and in caring for my prescious Peanut. I highly recommend Margaret 😊”

“Mekades watched out girl first a week. She’s a border collie and attached to her humans which means she’s prone to anxiety. Mekades was amazing our girl was calm and happy. She had the magic touch and it was appreciated more than we can write in a tiny review. We will definitely ask for her again. Thank you Mekades!!!”

“Ben was absolutely amazing! He did an amazing job caring for our dogs. One can be a bit reactive, especially around new people, but he was patient, kind, and clearly very experienced with dogs of all temperaments. We felt completely at ease knowing our girls were in such capable hands. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter!”

“Shannon was the penultimate professional. She cared for our pup for 2 weeks and communicated daily with pictures of their activities. As a bonus, she also left the house immaculate. Highly recommend!”

About: Hello! I'm Annie. I've loved being a dog aunty for family and friends, and I enjoy looking after people’s pets in general. I’m reliable, communicative and always excited to meet some new 4-legged friends! When I'm not planning my next adventure, you can find me hiking in the mountains, running, cooking, looking for a decent flat white, seeing live music, doing yoga or cuddling my friends' dogs. My schedule is flexible, and I'm open to setting up something on a regular basis. I'm a project manager by trade and currently on a sabbatical and staying in Lake Forest Park in between travelling. In addition to walking, I am happy to stay in your home as a housesitter and care for your pets while you're away. I'm responsible and tidy and will leave things as I found them.
“Mary Ann took such great care of our sweet pups and our home while we were away. She sent updates and pictures of our dogs regularly which made us feel so much better about having to leave our newly adopted dog for a few days. I am so thankful we found Mary Ann and will definitely rebook with her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kenmore
Kimberly was fantastic. We had been skeptical due to stories we had heard from other friends. However, Kimberly took better care of Chase than we do! She was incredibly thoughtful and considerate of his needs and daily routine. She gave us such peace of mind knowing our pup was being cared for and provided daily check ins which were amazing. We will absolutely we using Kimberly again!

Tyler was an excellent and respectful caretaker of my two dogs and home while I was away for the first time in 4 years! He responded promptly every time I reached out and kept me updated on the dogs during my absence. He proved to be a responsible and trustworthy young man, two thumbs up!

Stephani was amazing! We felt so comfortable leaving our pup, Albus, in her care. It was clear that Albus loved spending time with her and was very well cared for. She kept us updated with messages and photos throughout the stay, which we really appreciated and gave us so much peace of mind. She also took great care of our home. We couldn’t recommend her more—10/10! Albus can’t wait for his next stay with Stephani!

Shae was so thoughtful and loving with our girls. Our pup has some layered medical needs and with Shae’s experience, we were able to sleep soundly while gone. She managed the two of them so well, and clarified and checked in to make sure on both pet sitting and house sitting concerns. Would rebook her in a heartbeat!

Cindy was an amazing dog sitter! She took excellent care of my dog, kept me updated with photos and messages, and made sure my pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. I could tell my dog felt safe and loved with her. I really appreciated her reliability, kindness, and attention to detail. I highly recommend Cindy to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!
Chels was absolutely wonderful! This was our first time having someone stay in our home and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Chels was very professional, asked great questions about our dog, was very understanding, and kept our home in immaculate condition! Our dog was dealing with some gastrointestinal issues right before our trip, which made leaving very difficult, but Chels was an absolute champion. She understood the medicine regimen, instinctively knew how we wanted to approach reintroducing food to our dog, and communicated extremely well the entire time. Over the course of our trip, Chels got our dog back onto her regular diet and we returned to a happy and healthy puppy! Words cannot express how grateful we are to Chels for a level of care that allowed us to attend a milestone event for our family with zero stress.

Jean & Elena took all the stress out of our 10-day vacation away from our three doggos. They sent daily pictures and updates, spent time playing and walking them, and even managed a few appointments for us. We returned to happy, healthy dogs and a clean, well-kept home. A wonderful experience and highly recommended!

Chibi is a very sensitive Chiweeenie and we needed someone caring, compassionate, and trustworthy while we were away on vacation. Shannon has the characteristics we were seeking. She was very kind to Chibi, responsive to us, and took very good care of our home while we were on vacation. She also took care of extra home related tasks for us. When we came home we could tell Chibi was taken care of very well. We felt completely comfortable while we were away that Chibi was in good hands.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Kenmore on Rover is $53.39 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of August 2026, there are 7,574 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kenmore. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kenmore walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kenmore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kenmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
