“Stephani was such a wonderful sitter for our handful of dogs, that have their various needs (i.e., prescriptions) and strong personalities being huskies. Our doggos seemed instantly calm with her during the meet and greet, and when we returned they didn't want to leave her side. We are so appreciative of her staying with them and giving them such love and care!”

“Arwen was gentle and patient with our cats and was a responsible and trustworthy sitter. Arwen provided updates along with beautifully taken photos, and also left our place clean and tidy. We would love to have Arwen cat sit for us again!”

“She is amazing! Patient , kind, and great with animals!! She fed Malikai and took him out and cater for this big scaredy fluff ball! Thank you so much! I will book again!”

“Robert was ABSOLUTELY fabulous! He was patient, thoughtful, and really communicative. From the moment we requested a sitter until after the service was complete, he was swift to respond, sent lots of pictures, and kept us updated on all the pet care rituals. He did not flinch when the breaker needed to be reset during a housesit, and he took such wonderful care of our tankgirl, Bailey. 5 stars, 2 thumbs way up, and a 3 snaps in Z formation! Highly recommend.”

“I almost hate to write this, because Karen may get so busy that I won’t be able to book her! I can’t say enough good about her. Probably the best part was that she had my really anxious/antisocial pup relaxed in no time—and it was July 4. Fireworks going off all the time. Karen sent me updates and pics of both dogs on a regular basis. I do believe my house was cleaner than when I left it. Karen even contacted me for pooper scooper info. Wonderful energy. She is “the dog whisperer.””

“Jean was wonderful! She was punctual, friendly, and incredibly sweet to our pups. We would highly recommend her and look forward to booking her again for future trips.”

“Morgan is such a delightful human! One of my dogs was fresh out of surgery and needing constant supervision and reassurance and my other dog has separation anxiety and is very anxious with new people. My older dog loved her instantly and my younger warmed up to her so quickly! It’s very apparent that she’s a fantastic pet parent and brings that same love and care to any dog she’s watching. I felt very comfortable leaving them with her. I came back later to find them all snuggled up together, my dogs sleeping peacefully on her lap. They were so sad when she left!”

“Aryana is wonderful and I will 100% be hiring her again for dog sitting! She sent great updates and my dog Ash looked SO happy and comfortable with her in photos. She went above and beyond to give my dog enriching days that included all his favorite things. Aryana was comfortable staying with Ash who has some special needs and sensitivity to being handled. She is clearly very intuitive with dogs and built trust immediately with him. She sent me a picture of him lying on his back on the couch in a state of total bliss. I knew he was in good hands!”

“2nd time that Kristy looked after our girls. It was an overnight rover and she made sure to keep us updated and followed all of our instructions. We felt calm and safe that she could take care of our pups which is a great feeling. Would book again!”

“This was our second time having Sarah take care of our dogs. They love her and we feel confident they are happy and taken care of when she is at the house. She is a great communicator and sends lots of photos. Thank you Sarah and we look forward to continuing use of your services in the future!”

“Absolutely excellent! Spectacular communication, adorable photos, and genuine fondness for our cats at every step of the way. I will definitely be booking with Jeanne again, if I have the chance!”

“Valerie was very professional and listened to what I needed and what the dog want. She stayed at my home. I would recommend Valerie to take care of your pootch.”

“Elizabeth was great! She took great care of our dog, sent us daily reports and pictures and left the house in perfect condition. It's the first vacation in years where we were completely stress-free! We've already booked her for our next trip!”

“Katie was so wonderful with our kitten Penny! They had a lot of playtime and Katie made the sweetest gift for our little girl. She was very accommodating when we confused our timing on her - we will definitely be booking with her in the future!”

“Kalyssa was great! This is the second time she’s watched my dog and cat. She stayed in my apartment and while there the fire alarm battery needed to be replaced. The chirping from this always causes my dog a great deal of anxiety. Kalyssa problem solved this and handled it so well. She did a great job of caring for my pets while dealing with this unexpected hassle. I would highly recommend her!”
“Catie cared for my old guy for a week while I was out of town. He presented a couple major challenges and Catie offered possible solutions and kept her sense of humor throughout the ups and downs. I appreciated her professionalism in communicating the issues and general updates. Her patience and overall focus on his well being made me feel very fortunate to have her watching my buddy. I would recommend her as a sitter to any one - and especially those with older quirky pets!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kenmore
We were nervous about going on our vacation after our dog had some long-term health complications, but Brynna took wonderful care of her and our cat. We received lots of updates while she house sat for them, and her calm, confident demeanor helped to put us at ease. We came back to both of them being happy and very well cared for.

Shannon did a wonderful job caring for our two dogs and our home. She was easy to communicate with, responds regularly and shared updates while we were away. We returned to a clean, well cared for space and happy pups. We’d love to have her house and pet sit for us again.

Meka is amazing and pickle adores her. Today we had a minor emergency and we were out of town. Meka stepped up and made sure Pickle was safe until we could put a plan in place. This was priceless and you can’t put stars or money on it’s value. If I could give 10 stars I would. You can’t go wrong with her caring for your fur babies. Meka we were so lucky for your help.

Jason has been a fantastic sitter for our Dachshund, Bentley. He really understands Bentley's demeanor, and Bentley warms up to him more with every stay. Jason always leaves our house looking better than we left it, and he even grabbed our absurd number of packages and brought them inside for us. We trust him completely with our home and our fur baby, and we'd love to have him back anytime.

Annie house sit our little Dachshund Ollie for a week while we were out of the state. She went above and beyond in making sure Ollie was comfortable and happy. He warmed up to her right away which usually takes a little more time. Annie sent us daily pictures and updates which was much appreciated. Not to mention she was able to squeeze in daily walks and extra cuddling!😊 We highly recommend Annie and hope to have her doggy sit again in the future.

Really appreciated Chelsea so much. The dogs were spoiled as requested! She sent lots of updates and photos and I felt very secure while I was gone. When I got home, the house was super tidy - like no one had stayed here. If she’ll have us, we’ll definitely rely use her again!

Kimberly was fantastic. We had been skeptical due to stories we had heard from other friends. However, Kimberly took better care of Chase than we do! She was incredibly thoughtful and considerate of his needs and daily routine. She gave us such peace of mind knowing our pup was being cared for and provided daily check ins which were amazing. We will absolutely we using Kimberly again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kenmore walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kenmore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kenmore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kenmore. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
