“Laurel took care of our 1 year old dog for 6 days. She communicated well over the app, gave our dog lots of attention, and left the house in really great shape. She was really pleasant to work with!”

“Tyler was an amazing house/pet sitter for us! He is incredibly communicative, kind, and thoughtful. Our pup was very well cared for and we will definitely be booking with Tyler again in the future. We can’t recommend him highly enough!”

“Kira was an amazing dog sitter! One of our dogs has separation anxiety, and Kira did a great job keeping her calm and cared for. They also asked a lot of great questions to make sure they had all of the information they needed about our dogs while we were gone. They sent us pictures of the dogs and gave status updates while we were gone which was really appreciated! They were very flexible with time too, I was able to book them with just a few days notice, and had to stay out later than expected which was no problem for them. Overall it was a great experience, our pups seemed very happy. Thanks Kira! <3”

“Stephani was such a wonderful sitter for our handful of dogs, that have their various needs (i.e., prescriptions) and strong personalities being huskies. Our doggos seemed instantly calm with her during the meet and greet, and when we returned they didn't want to leave her side. We are so appreciative of her staying with them and giving them such love and care!”

“"Aunt Jean" cared for our dog for a week. We hired her for overnights because she had experience administering medicine and it seemed she'd have the time to hang out with him beyond visits. She administered his meds methodically, kept in contact with us regularly and he seemed very happy and content when we arrived home. He was in her lap when we came in. I would recommend her to anyone, especially someone with older animals that have special needs.”

“Julianne was a great house sitter / pet sitter for our kitty. She cared for him during a nearly 3 week vacation in May 2024. She stayed in communication with us throughout the trip and always gave me a sense that our cat was cared for with affection and love. Took great care of our house and yard which doesn’t require a whole lot but was a comfort while we were away. I especially appreciated that Julianne is retired and could really spend most of her time here. Highly recommended!”

“Cindy watched my dog for a weekend and did an excellent job! She was highly communicative, sent lots of pictures, and was very adaptable with my timeline that changed a lot in the days leading up to my trip. Would highly recommend her for any pet care!”

“Kino watch my two dogs in my apartment while I was traveling for a week. She took great care of my boys and gave me daily updates/pictures. One of my dogs is pretty anxious and he warmed right up to Kino. I highly recommend her!”

“Shannon did an excellent job of caring for our two dogs and elderly cat. She communicated effectively and gave us updates and pictures. She also left our house in great shape. We will definitely be using her again.”

“Jessica was exceptional! Even with it being a last minute booking, Jessica did all the things a professional would do. She set up a meet and greet, made the right questions and made quickly managed my puppy’s energy. Jessica was super prompt, respectful of our home and kind with our baby. I couldn’t be happier and I can’t wait to book her again! THANK YOU JESSICA!!”

“Robert did such an excellent job. He maintains constant communication and sends pictures and updates. He is very friendly and our puppies adored him. He did so amazing with our reactive girl (10/10)”

“Erica was beyond amazing with our two furry friends! She kept us in the loop with constant communication and sent adorable photo updates while we were away! If you need a reliable person to look after your dogs and home during your absence, don't hesitate to contact Erica!”

“Anja did a great job with our two dogs and watching our house. She sent several pictures each day so we could see they were doing good. Happy to get the updates and know they were well cared for. Would definitely book again. Thanks :)”

“Baylee was great to work with. Very responsive and professional in her interactions. Baylee communicates well, with lots of updates and asked questions when she was unsure of routines or like when the power went out she notified the PUD of the outage. She did great on a long house sit for us with two critters to care for. We were very grateful that we could leave our furry housemates at home for such a long duration and not at a kennel. Everything was in great order when we arrived home and the animals hardly knew we left.”

“Jessica was such a good sitter for my somewhat unruly German Shepherd. She stayed in touch while I was gone and gave me peace of mind that Rajah was in good hands. I chose rover.com because my dog Rajah has separation anxiety. He received one on one care. Jessica provided this for him. I would choose her again.”

About: I am a detail oriented sitter and I care about sticking to the care plan. I like playing with pets, so they're sure to get enough exercise! I am a cat owner, so it is part of my daily routine to take care of them. Pets are a priority, especially when it comes to feeding properly. I live in an apartment and have indoor cats. They receive a kibble for indoor cats and water daily as needed. They each have their own litter box in different rooms. I have a variety of toys for them.
“Zach was a great sitter and attentive. He asked all the right questions to make sure he had all information needed to take care of our dog. He was flexible with our last minute schedule change which we really appreciated.”

Haley was great with my 3 pups! I was nervous to leave them but she took great care of them while I was gone. She did a meet and greet beforehand which helped me feel comfortable and also helped the dogs feel familiar with her prior to my trip. She dog sat them at my home and even placed the trash out on the curb for it to be picked up without having to be asked. Highly recommend!

Stephani was so wonderful and my pets. Stephani stayed over to take care of my animal pack while I was away, she checked in as often as we agreed and sent pictures of activities along the week. I have two cats and one small dog and when I returned everyone was happy.

Liv was amazing with my two pups! She sent great pictures and updates while I was away, and was super flexible in accommodating a few extra nights when my plans changed. I have two older dogs who have some additional needs, and she took care of them with ease. I highly recommend her for your pet care needs.

This was our fourth time having Teresa house sit and care for our big goofy dog 🐕 and spicey cat. 🐈⬛. Once again they are super happy and well cared for and we are very appreciative of the care and attention to detail Teresa gives them and their needs. I highly recommend her and already have another week booked with her later this summer.

Kim was absolutely fantastic! We felt so comfortable with her staying over night with our 2 frenchies. She took amazing care of them and treated our home as if it was her own. We’ll definitely be rebooking with Kim again and would highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Kim! The doggies can’t wait to see you again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Bothell on Rover is $58.25 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 7,567 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bothell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bothell walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bothell maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bothell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
