“Angelica is great! I have really bad separation anxiety from my dog and am a huge worry wart. But she provided endless amounts of pictures and videos to put my worrying at ease and always kept me updated on my dogs whereabouts. Will definitely book her again! 10/10 recommend.”

“Mackenzie was absolutely amazing! I was so worried to leave my senior pets for 10 days but she put me ease with her kindness and experience. She had great communication and compassion towards my pets when they had an accident. I felt like she truly loved them as her own. We also loved getting photo updates throughout our trip- she even crocheted cute little hats for the dogs and cat. Would love to have her back to sit again!”

“Sebastian was amazing! He took on our house sitting gig with very minimal notice after another sitter fell through and did an absolutely wonderful job with our cats while we were away for a week. We got lots of updates and came home to happy calm cats! Couldn’t have asked for better :)”

About: Hi! My name is Celestine, and caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have experience looking after both dogs and cats through personal pet sitting, family care, and volunteer work at PAWS Animal Shelter. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets with different personalities, energy levels, and needs — from playful, energetic pets to shy or senior animals that need extra patience and gentle attention. Growing up, I regularly helped neighbors, friends, and family with pet sitting responsibilities such as feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, giving fresh water, playtime, and making sure pets felt safe and comfortable while their owners were away. I’ve also cared for my siblings’ cats and understand how important consistency, cleanliness, and affection are for pets, especially when they’re adjusting to someone new. My experience volunteering at an animal shelter taught me how to stay calm, attentive, and compassionate around animals of all temperaments. I understand that every pet is different, and I always take time to learn their routines, comfort levels, and preferences so they feel secure and cared for. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely love building trust with both pets and owners. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I always do my best to provide updates, communicate clearly, and care for every animal like they’re my own. Your pet will get lots of patience, attention, love, and responsible care with me — plus probably an embarrassing amount of compliments about how cute they are. I’m naturally very organized and good at managing my schedule, so I’m reliable when it comes to feeding times, check-ins, walks, playtime, and keeping pets on their normal routines. Starting in October, I’ll be attending dental hygiene school full time, so my weekday daytime availability will become very limited. However, I still expect to be available some evenings, nights, and most weekends for pet care. No matter how busy life gets, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and I make sure any pet in my care gets consistent attention, patience, and dependable care. I understand that inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is always to provide a safe, calm, and dependable experience for both pets and their owners. I am attentive to details, follow care instructions carefully, and make pet safety my top priority. Whether it's ensuring doors and gates are secure, monitoring a pet's behavior for any signs of stress, or maintaining their normal routine, I strive to create an environment where pets feel comfortable and well cared for. Through years of pet sitting and my volunteer experience at PAWS Animal Shelter, I've learned the importance of patience, consistency, and building trust. I understand that every animal is different, and I take the time to respect their boundaries, comfort levels, and individual needs. I also believe trust is built through communication. I am happy to provide updates and photos during visits so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and receiving the attention they deserve while they're away. Above all, I treat every home with respect and every pet with the same level of care, kindness, and responsibility that I would hope someone would show to my own family members.
“Couldn't be happier with Maya taking care of our home and four animals. House was in great condition, animals happy, exercised, brushed, treated, and given medication. Maya shared photos and updates daily and left behind cute poloroids of the animals. We will definitely ask Maya to house and animal watch in the future.”

“Zachary set-up a meet and greet to ensure chemistry, a good fit, etc. On the day of arrival he was on-time. Throughout the day he provided periodic updates with photos. I appreciate his kindness and gentleness as my dog is older with some special needs. Would definitely have him again!”

“Kaitlyn was kind, professional, and very considerate! I greatly appreciated the daily report cards and updates. My kitty was clearly content and happy when I got back. She did a wonderful job!”

“Kristen was amazing - she would give us regular updates with pictures and videos. We looked forward to hearing what her and the pets had been up to. We could tell they were having a really good time with her and she seemed to give them genuine care. She was very responsive and followed all the instructions we left for the pets, one of which was an older dog that needed meds. She also left house tidy before leaving. We definitely plan on booking her again.”

“Did a great job hanging out with our cat. He isn't the most social boy, but immediately took to loving on both of them. They did a great job watching over him and communicating.”

“Sofie was fortunate to spend more time with Carina while we were out of town for a few days. Sofie is always happy when we come home and very well taken care of. Carina always goes above and beyond and we look forward to her next visit with our pup!”

“Merilee did a great job taking care of our pets while we were gone for over a week. The communication was great, Merilee took a genuine interest in their health and well being and we came back to a well taken care of house and happy pets.”

“Meaghan did an excellent job taking care of our house and two spoiled senior chihuahuas, while we are on vacation for a week. She was professional, friendly and caring. Louie & Banjo got plenty of walks, cuddles, and attention, both dogs were happy and well cared for when we returned. The house was clean and well taken care of. Meaghan went above & beyond! We’re so grateful for all the love and attention she gave the dogs and the house. Highly recommend Meaghan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter and house sitter!”

“Kory was Fantastic! We have two dogs, one of which is barely a year old. They have very spirited play and need separate walks, plus we have a cat who is picky about people, and we as pet parents are very anxious. Kory send many updates, great pics, was very thoughtful about their enrichment and getting to know them, and was very communicative about even small changes in behavior or digestion. Plus they left our house in great condition. We will absolutely keep booking with Kory!”

“We found Nancy when our usual sitters were occupied. She is wonderful. She paid AKI her full attention during the meet and greet, and then kept her fed and entertained during the overnight. She did a couple of texts and pics to assure us. We would use Nancy again.”

“Emma was a great sitter for our 3 cat babies. She was always quick to respond, left the place very clean, and gave them plenty of attention. Some of our cats can be slow to warm up to humans, but that wasn't the case with Emma (they seemed pretty comfortable around her and didn't hide right away). She also took care of our house plants. Would recommend Emma to anyone.”

I unfortunately didn’t have service for our trip. And being a helicopter mom it scared me BUT Michael did great, even sent me pictures of them, even though i didn’t have service i appreciated them once i received them❤️ I will 100% book again in the future and also recommend!!

Nuora had watched Woody several times for us and always provides excellent care. This time, she had to navigate a health scare for him while we were away and did so with amazing compassion, communication, and response. We are so grateful to you Nuora, for how you navigated this challenging experience with us and making sure Woodward got the best of care. <3

Hannah is wonderful! A true animal lover. She pet sit while we were out of town for 11 days. Our 3 small dogs were very happy and cared for while we were away . We received daily updates & cute photos which I really appreciated!! I knew our fur babies were in good hands and didn't have to worry about them, and we could enjoy our vacation & relax. It's not easy to find a reliable & trustworthy pet sitter, but Hannah is exactly that. Thanks Hannah!! ;)

From the moment Elaina came over to meet and greet our furry boys to her saying goodbye to them on the last day of the sitting, she has been very communicative, accountable, punctual, and provided them with loving care while we were way. One of our dogs is going through cancer treatments and we were very worried about leaving him but Elaina provided such great care we were able to enjoy our time away and not worry. From daily walks to treats to hanging outside to providing lots of pets, we felt so comfortable with Elaina and the care she provided. The furry boys are looking forward to the next time they get to hang out with her!

Catie is absolutely wonderful and we will absolutely be booking with her again. She has a ton of experience with many types of dogs and you can tell immediately. She was so gentle with our dog that is usually skiddish and so understanding of our very demanding old man English bulldog. She kept our house so clean and went above and beyond everything. She was so understanding of me too and all my worries about leaving the dogs and intricacies that I prefer for them. She is kind and detail oriented and very communicative and sent pictures and messages everyday which put me at so much ease. Thank you Catie!!

Angelica takes such good care of our 2 rambunctious German Shorthaired Pointers and our 18 year grumpy little cat! It is so nice to have zero worries when we need to go on an overnight trip to help family. She communicates well and shares fun photos. We really appreciate Angelica!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lynnwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lynnwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lynnwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
