“Kaitlyn did a wonderful job taking care of Poppins. Every evening we got a report and photos on how the day went. Along with taking care of Poppy Kaitlyn also took good care of our home bringing in the newspaper and the mail and keeping us updated on the wind storm. When our flight home was seriously delayed Kaitlyn was fantastic in finding ways to make sure Poppy was cared for until we actually made it home. We arrived back to a relaxed, contented pup and a clean house! I am very grateful to Kaitlyn for all her help.”

About: What sets me apart? I’m not just a sitter—I’m someone who works with animals every day at a veterinary clinic. That experience helps me understand behavior, stress signals, and special‑care routines. As a solo sitter, your pets always get consistent, individualized attention from someone they know and trust. I care for every pet like they’re my own and keep you updated so you always feel connected. Pet care is part of my daily routine. I will adjust my schedule and make sure your pet gets the love and care they need. I work at a vet if, you don’t want your pet home alone for 9 hours I will bring them to work with me if authorized to do so. In my clients’ homes, I follow each pet’s routine to keep them comfortable, offering personalized care, playtime, and plenty of affection while you're away. Making sure they feel loved and at ease.
“Katlyn and Ashley were wonderful sitters for my pups! They stepped in for their first sit on very short notice and took care of the pups as if they were their own. I have a senior that requires extra care and they were so patient with her, and my younger one had an upset tummy for a bit and they were very attentive to make sure she felt better quickly. I am so appreciative of their help and the house was just as I left it!”

“Meaghan did an excellent job taking care of our house and two spoiled senior chihuahuas, while we are on vacation for a week. She was professional, friendly and caring. Louie & Banjo got plenty of walks, cuddles, and attention, both dogs were happy and well cared for when we returned. The house was clean and well taken care of. Meaghan went above & beyond! We’re so grateful for all the love and attention she gave the dogs and the house. Highly recommend Meaghan to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter and house sitter!”

“Nathan housesat for my 3 Labs recently while I was away for a few days. I was so please with his attentive care of my dogs. I really appreciated how he kept in touch with me almost daily both sending pictures of their walks and letting me know that they all were doing great. My 2 year old Lab developed an eye infection just prior to my trip and so need eye drops and Nathan did an awesome job making sure she got her drops daily for the amount of time prescribed by her Vet. My dogs seemed happy and content when I returned from my trip which for me is a testament to what a great job he did. I felt relieved and relaxed while I was away knowing my pups were in good hands with Nathan.”

“Allison did a great job taking care of our anxious dog while we were out of town. She was a great communicator - asked questions and gave us lots of updates. She took good care of our house as well! Highly recommend : )”

“Charlie WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING. She stayed with our 2 cats and 2 dogs, which one is a 7month old shepard puppy. Charlie showed excellent communication skills, as well as a genuine caring attitude for the animals. We felt so comfortable and got daily pictures, which made our 7 day trip so much easier. Our animals received daily walks, mental stimulation toys/activities, play and lots of snuggles. We came home to a clean house and happy animals. We could not ask for a better experience. We DEFINITELY will be using her services again. Our fur babies adored her and enjoyed the time they spent with her.”

“Mackenzie was absolutely amazing! I was so worried to leave my senior pets for 10 days but she put me ease with her kindness and experience. She had great communication and compassion towards my pets when they had an accident. I felt like she truly loved them as her own. We also loved getting photo updates throughout our trip- she even crocheted cute little hats for the dogs and cat. Would love to have her back to sit again!”

“Brian and Kaylee were awesome! We newly adopted a sweet kitty who has to be separate from the two dogs we have, and we were nervous to leave them with new people, but they handled the situation perfectly! We really enjoyed how often they updated us and kept In touch. We have had issues in the past with previous sitters not staying with them overnight or not communicating when they couldn’t, but we were able to trust them 100% and there is nothing better knowing our babies are in good hands!”

About: With over 25 years of hands-on experience in pet care, I bring a lifetime of love, knowledge, and respect for animals into everything I do. Growing up with dogs, I quickly learned how to read their behavior, meet their needs, and most importantly—treat them like family. I’m attentive, empathetic, and deeply in tune with animal behavior. With no pets of my own currently, your dog will have my full, undivided attention. I have a fenced back yard that is covered completely in shade with enough space for the dogs to run and play outside with each other
“I almost hate to write this, because Karen may get so busy that I won’t be able to book her! I can’t say enough good about her. Probably the best part was that she had my really anxious/antisocial pup relaxed in no time—and it was July 4. Fireworks going off all the time. Karen sent me updates and pics of both dogs on a regular basis. I do believe my house was cleaner than when I left it. Karen even contacted me for pooper scooper info. Wonderful energy. She is “the dog whisperer.””

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Picnic Point-North Lynnwood
Alyssa is spectacular. She took such great care of our dogs and they loved her. We loved the updates she sent and she was very communicative the entire time we were gone. Our house was pristine when we came home and she did lots of little extras we didn’t expect but really appreciated. Highly recommend!

Erica got along well with our large, energetic 4 year old dog. She sent us a photo and update every day, so we knew our pup was doing fine in our absence. Erica arrived at the appointed time and left our home in good condition when the job was completed. We will request her again in the future.

Hannah did a fantastic job taking care of our 1 year old cat, Winnie. Winnie has mild asthma, is very energetic, and is incredibly curious, which can sometimes get her into trouble. Throughout Hannah’s week-long stay, she kept us informed whenever Winnie had an asthma episode and sent us daily updates about how Winnie was doing and all the fun they were having. Hannah is very detail oriented, follows instructions carefully, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We felt completely comfortable knowing Winnie was in her care and would absolutely choose Hannah again the next time we go on vacation!

Nuora had watched Woody several times for us and always provides excellent care. This time, she had to navigate a health scare for him while we were away and did so with amazing compassion, communication, and response. We are so grateful to you Nuora, for how you navigated this challenging experience with us and making sure Woodward got the best of care. <3

Hannah is wonderful! A true animal lover. She pet sit while we were out of town for 11 days. Our 3 small dogs were very happy and cared for while we were away . We received daily updates & cute photos which I really appreciated!! I knew our fur babies were in good hands and didn't have to worry about them, and we could enjoy our vacation & relax. It's not easy to find a reliable & trustworthy pet sitter, but Hannah is exactly that. Thanks Hannah!! ;)

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Picnic Point-North Lynnwood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Picnic Point-North Lynnwood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Picnic Point-North Lynnwood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
