“Mackenzie was absolutely amazing! I was so worried to leave my senior pets for 10 days but she put me ease with her kindness and experience. She had great communication and compassion towards my pets when they had an accident. I felt like she truly loved them as her own. We also loved getting photo updates throughout our trip- she even crocheted cute little hats for the dogs and cat. Would love to have her back to sit again!”

“Mary Ann takes such wonderful care of our home and dogs. She is kind, dependable, thoughtful, and an excellent communicator. She shows our dogs so much love and is hands down our favorite sitter. Thank you again, Mary Ann!”

“Sebastian was amazing! We had to book last minute with two very spirited pups. Sebastian was super accommodating and even showed up an hour early to hang out with our boys while we packed. Sebastian was totally un-phased by our big guy's food aggression and had no trouble getting them their meals. Every picture that was sent the boys looked like they were having a blast playing and snuggling! We plan to use Sebastian in the future and will recommend them to anyone that needs any help with their animals.”

“Maya was so amazing with my dog and cat! I was stress free knowing they were in her care! She sent the cutest photos and frequent updates. I will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Zachary set-up a meet and greet to ensure chemistry, a good fit, etc. On the day of arrival he was on-time. Throughout the day he provided periodic updates with photos. I appreciate his kindness and gentleness as my dog is older with some special needs. Would definitely have him again!”

“Laurel hung out with Lexi at our house for a long day while I was out of town. This was Lexi's first time with a pet sitter and I wasn't sure how it would go. Laurel sent a bunch of cute photos and videos of Lex”

“Stephani was such a wonderful sitter for our handful of dogs, that have their various needs (i.e., prescriptions) and strong personalities being huskies. Our doggos seemed instantly calm with her during the meet and greet, and when we returned they didn't want to leave her side. We are so appreciative of her staying with them and giving them such love and care!”

“We needed someone to hang out with our dog and cat for several days while we were on vacation and Ryana did a great job watching our house and mammals. She even handled an unexpected internet technician visit with no fuss. My dog was happy and relaxed and got lots of good play time in the yard, I would call Ryana again next time we're out of town.”

“2nd time that Kristy looked after our girls. It was an overnight rover and she made sure to keep us updated and followed all of our instructions. We felt calm and safe that she could take care of our pups which is a great feeling. Would book again!”

“Syd did an amazing job taking care of my fur babies! They were so happy and well cared for when I got back from my trip. I would highly recommend Syd to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter!”
“Erica was so great taking care of our dog! We came home to a happy JJ and clean house. She asked questions, was communicative and was tolerant of our house automation doing weird things!”

“Kory is phenomenal with the pets! They love spending time with Kory and I appreciate all of the details that Kory provides while we are away. I always know our pets and house is well taken care of when Kory is here!”

“Mekades watched out girl first a week. She’s a border collie and attached to her humans which means she’s prone to anxiety. Mekades was amazing our girl was calm and happy. She had the magic touch and it was appreciated more than we can write in a tiny review. We will definitely ask for her again. Thank you Mekades!!!”

“Margaret is the Best! She took very good care of my cat son Peanut. She even taught him how to “sit” on command. I trust Margaret in my home and in caring for my prescious Peanut. I highly recommend Margaret 😊”

“Emma was a great sitter for our 3 cat babies. She was always quick to respond, left the place very clean, and gave them plenty of attention. Some of our cats can be slow to warm up to humans, but that wasn't the case with Emma (they seemed pretty comfortable around her and didn't hide right away). She also took care of our house plants. Would recommend Emma to anyone.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brier
We traveled away from home for a week, and Nicole did a wonderful job caring for our home, dog, and cat. We met beforehand to make sure it was a good fit for everyone, and I appreciated that she gave us the flexibility to choose someone else if needed, with no pressure or strings attached. She did a wonderful job caring for our pets, who seemed completely comfortable while we were away thanks to her care and attention. The house was exactly as we left it—in fact, a little better, since she tidied around the house and yard. She left no trace upon her departure, communicated with us as instructed, and provided regular updates and photos at just the right frequency for our wishes. Nicole was professional, friendly, and reliable, and we will certainly call on her again when we travel. Our home and pets were in very capable hands with Nicole, and we highly recommend her.

If you need a pet sitter you will not find better than Elaina! She genuinely cares about the animals she watches. Her communication on when she is coming and going is superb! I have a dog that can be tricky at times and she could not have been more skilled and patient. I will only hire Elaina to watch our dog. Thank you Elaina, We couldn't be more grateful!!!

Shae was so thoughtful and loving with our girls. Our pup has some layered medical needs and with Shae’s experience, we were able to sleep soundly while gone. She managed the two of them so well, and clarified and checked in to make sure on both pet sitting and house sitting concerns. Would rebook her in a heartbeat!

I am so grateful to have found Kory - he was an amazing sitter for my pups! He managed both of my pups (who have very different needs) exceptionally well and provided detailed updates and pictures each day to keep me informed. It is evident that he is committed to the wellbeing of the pups in his care and I was able to be away knowing they were in good hands!

Amy was amazing! She was so patient with our nervous dog (who has trouble eating while we are away; she persevered and got him to eat!) and dealt with some last-minute medication and wound care for our other dog. She kept the house so clean, and she was highly communicative during the pet sitting.

Mackenzie was a really great sitter! She was quick to respond to my numerous check-ins — I was anxious about leaving Bang home with someone else for the first time in a while, and she put me completely at ease. She sent lots of pictures and even crocheted him a little party hat, which she left out on the table for us to find when we got home. The house was spotless when she left — she took out the trash, folded the bedding, and tidied up before heading out. I would 10000% book her again. She's amazing, and Bang clearly had a great time with her!

Chibi is a very sensitive Chiweeenie and we needed someone caring, compassionate, and trustworthy while we were away on vacation. Shannon has the characteristics we were seeking. She was very kind to Chibi, responsive to us, and took very good care of our home while we were on vacation. She also took care of extra home related tasks for us. When we came home we could tell Chibi was taken care of very well. We felt completely comfortable while we were away that Chibi was in good hands.

We had a great experience with both house and dog sitting. Both dogs were well cared for and we received many photos and updates while we were away. This was a huge decision for me to have my pets cared for in my home and I am very happy with the decision. The pets were happy and I can’t wait to book with Ellyssa and Hunter.

Stephani was so wonderful and my pets. Stephani stayed over to take care of my animal pack while I was away, she checked in as often as we agreed and sent pictures of activities along the week. I have two cats and one small dog and when I returned everyone was happy.

Zachary set-up a meet and greet to ensure chemistry, a good fit, etc. On the day of arrival he was on-time. Throughout the day he provided periodic updates with photos. I appreciate his kindness and gentleness as my dog is older with some special needs. Would definitely have him again!

Liv was amazing with my two pups! She sent great pictures and updates while I was away, and was super flexible in accommodating a few extra nights when my plans changed. I have two older dogs who have some additional needs, and she took care of them with ease. I highly recommend her for your pet care needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Brier on Rover is $44.33 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 7,526 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Brier. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Brier walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Brier maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Brier choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Brier. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
