“Kayla, you have taken such a good care of Kiki ever since we took her home when she was around 8 weeks old. You have shown tremendous amount of patience and kindness when dealing with a such small puppy and a Shiba Inu breed. You have been a very reliable, trustworthy and caring Rover. Now you are moving out of the area, we wish you all the best and would recommend your service without any hesitation. Anyone would be luckily to have you take care of their pets. Thank you and best of luck Kayla! Kiki and all of us will miss you.”

From the moment we met her, she was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure Pepper was comfortable and well taken care of while we were away. She followed all of our care instructions carefully, kept everything clean, and gave us so much peace of mind throughout the weekend. It’s clear she has a real love for animals, and Pepper was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat, and we truly appreciated the communication and reliability the entire time. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate Rover sitter!”

“I am so happy to have found Arielle via Rover! She is a great communicator, on time, and takes great photos of her time with our little puppy, Chibi. Totally at ease with Arielle in our home or her taking her to her home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to another pet family.”

About: I’ve raised my 9-year-old Labrador (my baby!) from puppyhood, attended training classes, and taught him many tricks and obedience skills, giving me hands-on experience with both puppies and adult dogs. I also manage a multi-dog household and have successfully mediated conflicts while keeping both dogs happy, comfortable, and bonded with me. Beyond dogs, I care for chickens—handling their more intensive daily needs and supervising their interactions with my dogs—as well as an axolotl, which requires careful tank maintenance and close attention to safety. Overall, I’m patient, observant, and confident with a wide range of animals, and I treat every pet like my own. I have classes throughout the week but I am excited to work around my academic schedule to include time for your pets who deserve the best care and necessary attention! I always prioritize safety, comfort, and clear communication when caring for pets in my home or a client’s home. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs so I can maintain their normal environment and prevent any stress. I monitor pets closely during walks, feedings, and playtime, use positive reinforcement, and make sure they’re never left in unsafe situations. I’m attentive to body language, careful with introductions, and always keep doors, gates, and leashes secure when needed! Whether I’m visiting your home to dog sit or take your pup on a walk, I create a calm, predictable, and loving environment where they can feel safe and cared for!
“I am glad she finally let you pet her! A little goodbye nudge. Thank you so much! You have kept me worry -free about my sweet babies! I appreciate you so much and I know they do. I will happily use you again in the future!”
About: Hi! I’m Alex. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve owned and cared for pets for as long as I can remember. I’ve also spent time working with rescue animals, which has given me experience from a variety of backgrounds, personalities, and comfort levels. I’m naturally patient and calm, especially with shy, nervous, or slow-to-warm-up pets. I’m happy to give them the time and space they need to feel comfortable, and I’ve found that even our more hesitant guests tend to warm up pretty quickly. Sarah and I work together with boarding, walks, and drop-ins, so there’s usually an extra set of hands and eyes available when needed. Whether it’s getting outside for a walk, playing in the yard, sticking to a feeding or medication routine, or just hanging out on the couch, my goal is to make each pet feel safe and comfortable while they’re with us. Boarding Includes: ✔ Safe, clean, climate-controlled home ✔ Fresh water at all times ✔ Feeding according to your pet’s normal schedule ✔ Frequent supervised potty breaks and outdoor time in our large fenced yards ✔ Playtime, enrichment, and appropriate socialization ✔ Plenty of affection, cuddles, movies, and music ✔ Clean bedding sanitized between guests ✔ Routine medications and injections when arranged in advance ✔ Photo and/or video updates Owners must provide food, treats, supplements, medications, and any specialty items their pet requires. Bathing, grooming, and transportation may be available for an additional fee. We do not take guest dogs to dog parks. Highly reactive dogs or significant flight risks may have exercise limited to our secure yard and structured enrichment. 📋 Booking & Scheduling Your pet will be staying in our private home, not a traditional boarding facility. Meet-and-greets, drop-offs, and pick-ups are by appointment and must take place during the agreed-upon window. Please communicate as early as possible if you expect to be delayed. 🏥 Health & Behavior Requirements We cannot accept pets who: • Have a contagious illness or parasites • Have a history of aggression or biting • Experience severe separation anxiety involving prolonged distress, vocalization, or destruction • Cannot safely be left alone for short periods • Have escape behaviors that cannot be safely managed Pets must be current on legally required vaccinations and flea/tick prevention. Please disclose all medical conditions, medications, behavioral concerns, anxiety, bite history, or escape tendencies before booking. Undisclosed medical or behavioral concerns that create a safety issue may result in the stay ending early without refund. 💊 Medication & Veterinary Care Routine medications and injections can be administered at no additional charge when written instructions are provided. Medications should be clearly labeled and in their original containers whenever possible. If your pet becomes sick or injured, we will contact you as soon as possible. If urgent veterinary care is necessary and you cannot be reached, your designated emergency contact must be authorized to make decisions on your behalf. Veterinary expenses are the owner’s responsibility. I cannot not held liable for any preexisting conditions your pet may have. 🤝 Meet & Greets Meet-and-greets, drop-offs, and pick-ups are conducted outdoors. Because this is our private residence and past theft incidents, we do not offer in-person home tours. FaceTime or virtual tours are available upon request. 🧼 Cleaning & Damage Normal accidents are expected! However, excessive cleaning, repeated indoor accidents, bathing, laundry, or property damage may result in additional charges. Owners are responsible for significant damage caused by their pets. 💲 Rates Rates reflect the level of individualized care provided as well as Rover’s service fees. Thank you for trusting us with your pet! Our goal is to give them a safe, comfortable, enjoyable stay while giving you peace of mind while you’re away. 🐾 Walks & Drop-Ins For walks and drop-ins, we treat your home and property with the same care and respect we would our own. We follow your instructions closely, keep doors and gates secured, clean up after your pet, and leave your home as we found it. Visits are tailored to your pet’s routine and may include walks, potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, medications, litter box care, playtime, enrichment, and companionship. We’re also happy to bring in packages or handle small pet-related household tasks when requested. Your privacy and security are important to us. We only access areas of your home necessary to provide your pet’s care. ⭐️ By booking, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the policies above. ⭐️ I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, structured care, and plenty of time to get outside and have fun playing in the yard. My mornings usually start around 5:30 a.m., but if your dog likes to sleep in, I’m happy to keep things quiet! Throughout the day, there are plenty of breaks between meetings for outdoor time and what I like to call “pawty time” equal parts potty breaks and playtime. If your pup prefers a more relaxed day, I have a comfy couch and multiple dog beds throughout the house for lounging and naps. After work and into the evening, we wind down with dinner, a movie or TV show, a few more pawty breaks, and then head to bed. During waking hours, there is always full supervision for your pet. Our yard is fully fenced, Odin or other guest dogs are always separated while enjoying any high value food, treats, or toys. My partner and I work diligently to keep your pet healthy, safe, and happy during their time with us.
“Sarah was very communicative, helpful and took great care of our elder cats. We appreciate her being available last minute when another sitter fell through. Would certainly recommend to others! Thanks!”

“Shandel was great! She communized well and took very good care of my cat while I was away. I could tell by the pictures she sent that my cat was very comfortable with her. Would definitely recommend to others and I would book again.”

“Stephanie was super communicative and helpful throughout this process, as it was our first time using Rover! She came over for a long meet and greet, helped us get comfortable, and followed all of our care instructions when we were away. She is really experienced with all different types of cats which made us feel more secure leaving our kitty in her care. It was nice to know we could enjoy our vacation without too much worry. We will definitely book with her again!”

Catie did an amazing job taking care of my cat Kitty while I was out of town for a week. She was reliable, attentive, and very caring throughout the entire week. She followed instructions closely, never missed a scheduled visit, and always provided detailed updates and pictures. She also went above and beyond to ensure Kitty stayed in a comfortable environment. It was reassuring knowing Kitty was in good hands while I was away. I would definitely recommend Catie to anyone looking for a responsible and trustworthy pet sitter!

We were so impressed with Kate! From the very first meet-and-greet, she was incredibly attentive and even took notes about our cats’ routines, needs, and little details, which immediately made me feel more comfortable. If you’re someone who gets anxious about leaving your fur babies, she is such a great choice. She was thoughtful, thorough, and gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in good hands while we were away. We will absolutely be using her again and would highly recommend her!

Nancy was wonderful! Our shy boy didn’t quite come out to play, but she was so patient and caring with him. She arrived consistently at the scheduled times each day, and we really appreciated the reliable updates and care. She was also so sweet and even left Buckley a little toy, a thoughtful touch that meant so much! We would absolutely recommend Nancy and would love to have her care for Buckley again! 🐾💕

Elaina was wonderful. She cared for my kitty. She went out of her way to come and befriend my cat, Meghan. She made sure I knew how Meghan was doing. I was able to enjoy my art workshop and not worry about my kitty. I definitely would use her to cat sit my baby.

Melissa was fantastic! She was patient, followed all instructions carefully, and communicated proactively. I appreciated the updates and felt confident my cats were in good hands. When we came back, the cats were relaxed and settled, which was such a relief. I would definitely book again.

Xiuqi, is amazing! She was great with communication the entire time we were gone. My dogs are super needy and both have their own anxieties and she did great with both of them! She also went above and beyond to make sure everything stayed clean and nice. Would 100% rebook with her and the dogs loved her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
