“Craig was a fantastic dog sitter for our lively 8 yr old Corgi. Communication was quick, he sent us plenty of photos and overall a 10/10 experience. Will definitely use Craig again.”

“Vicki is a phenomenal sitter!! She has been Maxton's main sitter for about 2 years and he adores her so much 😊 We have already left a review for her before but just want to emphasize how awesome she is. We recently came back from a trip that had many delays which made us 5 hours late for our pickup time. Vicki was super understanding of our situation and so accommodating of our new pick up schedule. Seriously can't say it enough but we appreciate her so much!”

“I would 100% recommend Michelle and Brian. I am a person who never wants to leave my dog with anyone, and if I have to, I worry the entire the time. Newton stayed with Michelle and Brian for over two weeks and they took such great care of him. He became best friends with their adorable dog Ari and played with other little dogs they watch (Theo!) Michelle & Brian were amazing with communication, sending me photos and updates every day. It is clear that they love dogs and, from now on, I will always have them watch Newton. :)”

“Kira is an amazing boarder! We are so lucky she looked after our anxious pup. She is prepared for everything and we were so impressed with her knowledge and patience when taking care of our dog. Definitely will use her again and would recommend her to those of you with dogs that need to be boarded alone or need a little extra attention.”

“Allie and Lucy had such a great stay with Jan! They came back home happy and relaxed. Jan treats them just like they were her pups. So glad that we found her on Rover for boarding them while we're away. Makes getting away less stressful for sure :)”

“Great big back yard, very conscientious sitters. I have an elderly dog and they really made sure he was comfortable and accommodated during his visit. Highly recommended.”

“Lauren & Ryan are terrific caregivers. Their three dogs and other occasional visitors kept Fergus occupied and exercised for the time we were gone. But more important, they kept him feeling loved with snuggles and treats, and they kept us updated with lots of photos and notes. We're going away for a longer trip in a few weeks and will board him there again.”

“Diana was absolutely the best!!! On very short notice Diana was able to take my 2 pups over a long holiday weekend. Being the first time boarding for Addie, who I rescued just 2 months ago, I was determined to find the safest home for her to stay in. Diana was that & so much more!!! It is Disneyland with naps for dogs. Really could not have been a better experience. Thank you a million times over Diana!!! ~ Lee, Finn & Addie❤️❤️❤️”

“Melonie & Ryan were great! We left our dog Kingsley for a week and he was very happy! They updated us throughout the week with pictures, it was nice seeing him having fun while we were missing him! It was nice that they watch other dogs as well so he has others to run around with! If we need to have him stay somewhere again, they are our first choice!”

“Masumi did an excellent job caring for my dog. She was very kind, attentive, reliable, and experienced. I really appreciated the daily updates and photos — it was reassuring to know my dog was happy and well cared for while I was away. I’m very grateful for her care and will definitely book with her again in the future. Thank you Masumi!!”

“Brad is great at providing photos and is very quick/friendly with chat messages. He was also extremely accommodating when it took significantly longer than expected to pick up my dogs due to flight and parking lot shuttle bus delays at SeaTac.”

“They are AWESOME. Our pup is a 70 lb dog that needs improvement on walks (& being in the car). Not once did we hear a single complaint about his behavior even though he can be difficult. All we got were great photos of our dog and his new friend! J&P were truly great and our dog was so happy with them! I am VERY picky with dog sitters, but I would not even hesitate if we needed a dogsitter :).”

“This was our first time doing a Rover and Talia was wonderful! Constant and quick communication and wonderful photo updates throughout the day. Luna had the best time and we will definitely be booking again”

“Julie was able to take my dog last minute for overnight stay. I got updates with pictures and pretty prompt responses. My pup got to play with other fur friends and get lots of cuddles from the Julie and her family.”
“TLDR; John is amazing, go for it! Our golden, Chikki, stayed with John for 1 day care, 1 day overnight boarding and 1 long stay - 6 nights so far. * John is professional and is prompt with responses. He made sure that he was available for pick up and drop off window - no waiting / coordination etc. always a smooth experience. He even sends reminders for an upcoming visit! I am able to trust that there won’t be any last minute surprises. * He sends a lot of updates and it does not taper off on a long stay. ( my previous experience is always that updates get less frequent as time goes). But John sent pictures and videos even on 5th day of stay which I really appreciated. * Chikki is playful girl so if you leave her in the backyard , she ‘ll be happy and running. From my experience , I mostly only get such pictures from sitters. But she’s not playing the whole time right? is she eating ok? Is she settling at home? My favorite thing about John is he sends food/ sleep updates. He sends pictures of her meal, her naps and cuddles! It definitely kept me at peace throughout my trip away from Chikki. I highly recommend John and would love to use him for Chikki again.”

“Jamie and her family took great care of Rada. Jamie sent photos two or three times a day. I was calm that Rada was in safe hands, and I could enjoy my vacation without worrying about her. I will definitely contact Jamie the next time I need boarding for my dog.”

“Hannah was amazing with Ayesse! The meet and greet went so well and immediately made us feel comfortable. She took great care of Ayesse and kept us updated with lots of pics, which gave us total peace of mind. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and would absolutely book with Hannah again. Highly recommend!”
“Sheena took great care of my dog, Uno. She handled introductions between Uno and her own dog really well. She updated me with photos, and Uno looked like he was having a great time. It was clear he was in good hands and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Sheena to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog sitter.”

“A vacation for us is a vacation for our pup! She couldn't be more excited to visit her friends at her home away from home. Elena and Jan provide an excellent environment, safe and reliable. We'll be seeing them again soon!”

“Sarah and Alex were amazing!! Lox was well taken care of and loved their fully fenced in yard. They sent frequent updates, I would absolutely recommend booking with them!”

Christine is absolutely wonderful. She is very dedicated to her role as a dog caretaker. I was a bit concerned if my dog was going to be okay with all the other dogs, but Christine calmed her down, and my pup had a great time and made new friends. Christine house and yard are immaculate and dog friendly. She continually watches the dogs to assure everyt one of the pups is getting along and assuring no problems.
Monica was incredibly communicative and kept us updated every day with detailed video reports about how Chance was doing. What impressed us most was how quickly she connected with him (reactive rescue dog), who usually takes a long time to trust new people. It was truly amazing to see how Chance could sense that Monica genuinely cared for him and trusted her so quickly. She also made sure he got plenty of exercise, taking him on walks and giving him lots of opportunities to stay active both indoors and outdoors. Chance came home in great condition, happy, relaxed, and peaceful. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands while we we're away. We would absolutely hire Monica again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful, trustworthy sitter. My only problem? She does such an amazing job that we know her schedule must be hard to book because she’s a superstar sitter! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️🐶

Jessica has a fantastic backyard. Plenty of space for the pups to run and play. Scout was instantly welcomed by Jessica’s friendly dogs and forgot I was even there. I received updates and videos during her stay and it was clear she was enjoying herself. We will be reaching out to Jessica next time we need a dog sitter.

Our Corgi had a wonderful stay with Ya Nuo! She kept us updated with lots of adorable photos and videos throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. Our pup even made a new friend there and, to our surprise, didn’t want to come home with us at pickup! That says everything about how happy and comfortable he was. We’re so grateful for the great care and would definitely book with Ya Nuo again.

Margaret was so kind and took such great care of our dog. We were out of town for a week and our pup stayed with Margaret. Our dog is shy and nervous until she gets to know new people. Our pup ran to Margaret to play and didn’t notice when we left. We know she had a great time! We appreciate all the love and care and would highly recommend Margaret.

We are so lucky to have found Dena! This was the first time we boarded our current dogs, and we were incredibly nervous. Throughout their two-week stay, Dena sent us photos and videos, so we always knew how our boys were doing. When we picked them up, we expected them to be mad at us, but instead they seemed happy and not stressed. We think that speaks volumes about the quality of care Dena provides. She even checked in on them a few days after we got home! Dena was always quick to respond to our messages, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We don't know when our next trip will be, but we hope Dena will be available. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for great care for their pets!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
