“Namhee is an amazing sitter! We received so many photos and videos with detailed updates throughout the stay. She took such great care of Bruce and treated him like he was part of the family which is all I could ever ask for!”

“This was our first time using Rover to find a sitter for our dog, Apollo. Tyler was the best person we could have asked for. He was super communicative ahead of time, was sending us plenty of updates while we were gone, and sent lots of photos. He also took Apollo on plenty of walks in some nice areas in Bothell. Apollo looked like he had the best time. We'd love to have him stay with Tyler again the next time we need a dog sitter.”

“Wilbur had a great stay with Lisa and Sulley! Lisa was easy to communicate/coordinate with and sent updates throughout the stay. Wilbur also enjoyed having a playmate with Sulley. Definitely recommend and we will book again 🙂”

“Auggie loved all the attention, cuddles, and new friends he made at Qiaohui's place! Qiaohui and her husband had us over for a meet and greet before our stay and they were lovely. We will definitely be coming back next time we need boarding!”

“Diesel had a wonderful time with Karina and her lovely doggo. It was nice to know that he had a friend and family around him to keep him company. Karina sent regular photos and videos. Karina is great and we’ll definitely use her again. 🐶 🤗”

About: I admit that I'm new to Rover.com but I cared for my beloved Chloe (60 lb dog) for 16 years and also dog sat for my best friend when she went out of town. Safety is incredibly important to me and I have a fully fenced, private back yard that would love to host your canine family member. I am retired now so can set my own schedule. I am home most of the time but do typically leave the house for an hour or so to exercise each day. When I'm pet sitting, your special pet will be my top priority and I will be able to work my schedule around their needs and your expectations. I have a large, fully fenced, private back yard. I do not require that your pet be crate trained as my dog (she passed away in 2024) was never crate trained. I'm ok with you simply bringing over their dog bed, but if they sleep in a crate, that's fine too. My home's environment is very safe and offers room to roam when they're outside. The one fence line that has a gap between the bottom of the fence and the ground has been covered with wire mesh so even a small dog cannot get out. As a retired person, I'm able to walk your dog as many times / day as you request. As mentioned above, they'll also be free to roam the backyard and I will be with them during that time.
“Our dogs had a great stay with Alexander and Sarah! We appreciated the photos and quick communication and felt great knowing our dogs had a good place to stay while we were away.”

“Great sitter. My dog seems to have had a lot of good sniffs and long walks. Virginie was great dealing her our dog being a senior and on medication. Will definitely contact her again for future sits!”

“By far the best Rover, most loving home. We can leave our beloved boy with the most assurance that he'll be well taken care of. So grateful for you Lindsay, David and family!!”

“Janet was amazing! She took excellent care of my dog, making sure he had fun by taking him to the dog park, and she was very understanding of his challenging behaviors. I highly recommend Janet!”

“Christina was amazing with Dusty and always is! She is patient, caring, understanding and provided me regular updates on every day Dusty things which I truly appreciate and love considering I was away and missing my furry baby! She was incredibly patient with Dusty’s shyness and hesitation, allowing Dusty to approach her and get comfortable. Christina has watched Dusty multiple times and I would highly recommend anyone to her!”

“Ziyan took such great care of our Sadie while we were away! She made sure that Sadie was comfortable with her dog prior to the stay and sent daily updates and pictures, even taking her on hikes and runs. We truly felt like she treated Sadie like a member of her family and would love to have her watch Sadie again!”

“Our doberman Ruby had a great stay with Conor and his family. I appreciated that Conor suggested a meet-up prior to our trip to make sure everyone got along. It was particularly nice knowing Ruby was around kids since she loves being with kids when at home. Conor was also kind enough to send several pictures and updates on Ruby. We will definitely re-book with Conor next time we need help with Ruby.”

“We had the most wonderful experience with Ailyn! From the very beginning, it was clear that Juniper was being cared for with so much love, attention, and genuine affection. Knowing Junie was happy and in such capable hands allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our trip to Oslo. Ailyn and her daughter kept Junie active with wonderful adventures to the park and the beach. Ailyn also took the time to truly understand Junie’s personality and breed, recognizing that she is happiest when she has a “job” to do. She even began taking her on bike-guided walks, which Junie absolutely loved! We very much enjoyed the daily updates through text, photo and video of Junie living her best life 😉 This was truly the best dog-sitting experience we could have hoped for. Ailyn went above and beyond in every way, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. We will absolutely be asking her to care for Junie again in the future!”

“I booked Wenjia very last minute for a weekend trip I had to take. She was great and treated Kona as her own dog. I got lots of photos and Kona had many adventures. This was a great experience and Kona came back exhausted from a weekend of fun.”

“This was our very first time boarding our 8 month old puppy and I could not have asked for a better experience. Ina was very responsive in answering our questions and was in constant communication with us about how our dog was doing. She sent numerous updates via text, as well as pictures and videos, all of which provided my husband and I a peace of mind knowing our dog was being well cared for. We will certainly be using Ina for any future bookings.”

“Joanne did a wonderful job caring for Harbor while I was away. It was such a short notice and she so graciously took her in to her home and treated her like her own- I was so grateful for all the updates throughout Harbors stay as it gave my mind ease knowing that she was in great care. Harbor came back absolutely wiped from all the open trail and play time she had with her and that makes for one happy dog mom- We absolutely recommend Joanne for all your pup needs. Rest assured they will have the best time!”

“Have used Stacey twice now for our pups and no complaints! Great at providing updates throughout the stay and accommodating to our pups needs. Thank you for your care ❤️”

“This was the best experience I ever had with a pup sitter. I was away for almost 11 days and she kept me updated every day even with an 11 hour difference between us, she never missed a day with videos and pictures. One of my babies is a special dog and takes meds four times a day and she would send me pictures and updates about it.i didn’t feel an once of stress being away from them because of her. She went above and beyond to make them comfortable and took them on strolls and fun little outings. Her and her family all made my babies feel very loved. I could not recommend her enough!”

Rafael and Celeste far exceeded our expectations for quality care. They really went above and beyond to make sure our dog was happy, comfortable, and content. They were very communicative and made sure we had photos and updates throughout the day. Our dog can sometimes have a little separation anxiety but it was clear that she felt super comfortable with Rafael and Celeste. It was a relief to know we could leave our baby with others and know that we could relax completely knowing how well she was being taken care of. I can't recommend Rafael and Celeste enough!

Sarah and her hubby provided a safe, enclosed environment for my 3 kids while I was away. They were allowed to romp in the yard and in the house and I was sent updates and pictures showing how happy my dogs were and the communication was appreciated. I would definitely have them stay again.

Fantastic boarding stay! My pup Ellie (3yo golden) stayed for about a week and I had such great peace of mind knowing the care and individual attention Joann and her family gives to the dogs. They treat them like their own :) I greatly appreciate the easy communication as well, especially as I with dealing with flight delays getting home. Thanks for taking such great care of Ellie!!

Natalia was absolutely amazing with Phoebe! Phoebe had the absolute best time during her stay, she loved running around in the backyard and playing with the other doggies. Natalia is incredibly responsible and kept us completely at ease by sending tons of photos and updates every single day, which we truly appreciated. We will definitely be leaving Phoebe with her again. Highly recommend! 🌟

Caitie has been walking and sitting Rusty for us for the last 4 years and she is always amazing! She is highly communicative (we get regular photos and updates while out of town) and Rusty always has a blast. Outside of our family, she is his favorite person. We can’t recommend her highly enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
