“We left our 2 yr old lab puppy - Butter with Alexa. Alexa was considerate about needs of Butter as a young and energetic puppy and she made sure her house was safe for Butter. While staying with Alexa, Butter went on new adventures, made new dog and cat friends and a wonderful time staying home and playing with her daughter. Thanks Alexa for taking good care of Butter.”

“Ziyan took such great care of our Sadie while we were away! She made sure that Sadie was comfortable with her dog prior to the stay and sent daily updates and pictures, even taking her on hikes and runs. We truly felt like she treated Sadie like a member of her family and would love to have her watch Sadie again!”

“Royce had his first stay with Qiaohui and her husband, and start to finish, it was an outstanding experience. We appreciated their communication, pictures and videos during his stay. He was relaxed, had fun with his new buddies and was clearly treated like part of their family. 5 ⭐️”

“Dooley had a great time staying with Alexander and Sarah. They seemed well equipt to handle him for a few days. Followed the food instructions I provided. Dooley enjoyed their yard a lot and seemed to be entertained and taken care of. Thank you!”

“Sheena did so well with my two kiddos! Sterling can be a bit of a handful--he has anxiety and special needs (and is a bit of a grumpy old man). I can tell that she followed the most important directions I gave her based on his condition when I picked them up, I am very grateful. 🙂”

“Joann and her family were awesome taking care of our dog, Roxie. She had a great time playing with Krypto & Cleo (and the other dogs that visited!), and we were happy to know that she was enjoying her stay with the updates/pics provided. We will definitely book again with Joann in the future and really appreciated her accommodating Roxie’s stay on short notice. We also really appreciated the meet-and-greet ahead of time to help her get to know Roxie and to introduce Roxie to her pups. Thank you, Joann!!”

“Monica was absolutely wonderful with Polo. She was very caring, attentive, and so sweet with him the entire stay.Polo even got to enjoy new toys during his stay! I had forgotten to bring his bed, and Monica kindly prepared a cozy bed for him as well. I’m so grateful for the thoughtful care she gave Polo.”

“We were super nervous to leave our puppy with someone we didn't know but Ina talked to us for a while before we gave our puppy over. She gave me tons of updates that included pictures and videos. We were super happy with everything, we will definitely re-book with Ina again.”

“This was our second time leaving our dog with Stacey. He seemed happy to see her, and drop off was quick and easy. Stacey was quick to respond when we had questions, and even sent us some pictures of our puppy while we were away. Our puppy looked in good shape when we picked him up. We will definitely rebook with Stacey next time!”

“Li took excellent care of my two little dogs, Boom and Lilo. She sent me photos, updates, and videos throughout the week I was gone. My dogs were happy and well-cared for. I will definitely be using her services again the next time I travel!”

“Leaving Annie with Lindsay is such a breath of fresh air. The whole family is kind and they really treat Annie as though she is their own. This is my second time working with them and I highly recommend anyone feeling comfortable letting their dog have a sleepover.”

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd. We have learned and refined our dog ownership skills over time, finally investing in professional training for both our dog and ourselves in 2025. That experience shaped the kind of care I offer today. I believe dogs thrive with clear structure, consistency, and calm communication. I strive to provide the kind of boarding experience I wish I could find for my own dog, where training, routines, and boundaries are respected while you're away. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, daily walks, and a very friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who enjoys canine company. Your dog won't be left alone for a typical workday. I do leave the house for school drop-offs and pick-ups, errands, or weekend activities. Dogs should be comfortable being alone for a few hours. Because I have both a young child and my own dog, I only accept dogs that: -Are friendly with children and other dogs. -Are up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention. -Can comfortably settle into a family home.
“He was so kind and took wonderful care of my dog! Made sure everything was talked through before I left him overnight, I had no doubt my dog was going to be taken good care of.”

“Nicole was great! Not only was this a last minute reservation, she welcomed my 2 small dogs to her home and family. Nicole was terrific with her communication. She sent pictures and videos daily.”

“Christina did an absolutely fantastic job taking care of our dog. Every aspect of her service was outstanding, but what really stood out to me was her commitment to keeping us in the loop. I was pleasantly surprised by how diligently Christina sent us daily updates, complete with pictures of our dog. This thoughtful touch not only reassured us that our beloved pet was in great hands but also brought joy to our day. It’s clear that Christina not only loves animals but also understands the importance of communication with pet owners. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet with the same love and care as you do, look no further than Christina.”

“Our dog Coco had a great time at Shauna’s place. Coco needs a human with him all the time. He was happy and comfortable at Shauna’s place and looked playful in all the pictures Shauna shared.”

“Isabella was so so great with our dog, Benji! She kept us updated on how he was each day and really went the extra mile with making sure Benji was comfortable. Really appreciate the great care and I wouldn’t think twice about leaving my dog with her again ! ❤️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Forest Park
Danny & Jane are the best! They've watched our girls a few times and they always come back calm and relaxed. We have one elderly pup and one nervous rescue so it's always challenging to find someone who is patient and loving with their special needs. Danny & Jane are such good hosts for our girls!

Amber, her husband and their doodle Maple, welcomed our senior dog Hailey like a family member. They attentively took care of her, providing a calm, clean, and loving environment where Hailey felt safe and happy. We appreciated all the photos, beach day and doggy snuggles which convinced us that Hailey got her own vacation while we were out of town. We appreciate all the tender loving care and attention provided to our Hailey girl and deep assurance for her humans that she was well-looked after. We will definitely reach out to Amber again for our boarding needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
