We are both fully employed in the tech world, both privileged enough to work from home every day all day which enables us to spend hours on end with our dog as well, and take regular 1-2 hour walks throughout the day. We walk 5 miles minimum a day with our very active australian shepherd, and we actually run a photography and travel business on the side so we are always out doing something fun/cool/active, especially for those dogs looking to integrate into adventurous days while their humans are traveling! We work from home every day and have very flexible schedules, so we can accommodate pretty much any schedule that your dog needs. We are already frequently at the dog park with our dog as well! We can accommodate any need. If your dog prefers a crate, needs medicines, needs additional support, we can certainly work with you to make sure your dog is happy as possible while you are away. Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd.
