“Lu was so gentle and caring for our 13yo Havanese dog who is completely blind , mostly deaf and his smell isn’t as good as it used to be. She would at times carry him back to the car because he was tired and ir hot. We had to adjust our walk times and she had no problems with last minute changes. She is very compassionate and caring. I would definitely recommend her in the future.”

About: Hello! I'm Annie. I've loved being a dog aunty for family and friends, and I enjoy looking after people’s pets in general. I’m reliable, communicative and always excited to meet some new 4-legged friends! When I'm not planning my next adventure, you can find me hiking in the mountains, running, cooking, looking for a decent flat white, seeing live music, doing yoga or cuddling my friends' dogs. My schedule is flexible, and I'm open to setting up something on a regular basis. I'm a project manager by trade and currently on a sabbatical and staying in Lake Forest Park in between travelling. In addition to walking, I am happy to stay in your home as a housesitter and care for your pets while you're away. I'm responsible and tidy and will leave things as I found them.

I’m an active person who genuinely enjoys being outside, so walks aren’t just a task - they’re something I truly look forward to. My goal is to give your dog the care, attention, and confidence they need while giving you one less thing to worry about. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care and give each dog the attention they deserve. I’m intentional about creating a consistent schedule and providing reliable care, whether your dog needs a midday walk, regular exercise, or a little extra companionship while you’re away. I treat every dog and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. My dog Gary is basically my child, so I understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big deal. I know how important it is to create a calm, safe environment and take the time to understand each dog’s personality, boundaries, and routines. I follow your instructions closely, whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, respecting your dog’s comfort level, managing interactions with other dogs, or providing a familiar routine while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, and for you to have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.

About: I have spent my entire life around dogs and understand that every pet has a unique personality. My approach is rooted in patience and adaptability; I am just as happy going on a long walk as I am providing a quiet space for a dog who prefers to cuddle. I believe in following a pet’s lead to ensure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while their owners are away. While I have a lifelong history with pets, my most rewarding experience was with my dog Maurice, whom I cared for from his middle age through his senior years. We were his third home after he was rescued, and he had many wonderful quirks that we learned to work through together. Navigating life with him taught me how to be attentive to a dog's subtle cues and how to provide a stable, loving environment for pets of all backgrounds. Unfortunately, we lost Maurice in June of 2025. While I miss him very much, I am not ready to have a pet of my own again just yet, but I have plenty of time and affection to dedicate to your dog. Whether they have a specific routine or just need a reliable friend, I am committed to treating your pet with the same care and devotion I gave my own. I work from home full time, which means my schedule is very flexible and I am typically around all day to provide companionship and regular potty breaks. Your pet will rarely be alone, as I am only out for the occasional quick errand or appointment. I believe in clear communication, so I will always touch base in advance if I need to step out for a short time to ensure you are completely comfortable with the plan. My goal is to integrate your dog’s existing routine into my day so they feel right at home. My priority is creating a secure and stress-free space. My home offers a very quiet, calm environment with no children or other pets, making it an ideal "home away from home" for dogs who prefer a more relaxed setting. We have a fully fenced backyard for safe supervised play, and our neighborhood has wonderful, quiet streets that are perfect for daily walks. I am naturally attentive to a dog's needs and comfort levels, ensuring they feel settled and consistent in their routine.

“He has been incredibly reliable, communicative, and thoughtful with my dog. He’s patient and kind, as she is a puppy with a loud bark! He is always on time and does a great job keeping me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind when I’m not home. What really stands out is how attentive he is to her individual needs: she has a very thick coat, and he goes out of his way to take her to shaded, forested areas so she can stay comfortable and cool during her walks. He’s also been incredibly helpful when she’s had accidents or diarrhea in the house, including cleaning everything up without hesitation. I would absolutely recommend!”

Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”
