Happy to have found you and thank you for taking care of Jules and Vincent.”

About: I’ve had and worked with dogs my entire life, from small to extra large. They’ve all come with different personalities and challenges. I enjoy learning about each dog’s strengths and weaknesses. I am currently working on the weekends and have a consistent client whose dog I walk between 10 and 12 every week day. I also like early mornings and afternoons to myself and my pups to care for their needs well as my own. I have a fenced yard and all my dogs are fairly apprehensive about new people and are mostly neutral about other dogs. Because of this, I won’t do in-home pet sitting.

About: I have the cutest dog in the world, next to yours, anyway. I have 25 years experience as a veterinary technician. I promise to spoil your baby like I do my own. I will let them jump on the furniture and throw the ball. I am pretty strict about no people food, but will give dog treats and some veggies, if allowed. Rudy loves other dogs and would enjoy having a friend around. I can also medicate if needed, including injections. I have some mobility issues, so can only keep small dogs. I have cats, but they will tolerate new dogs in the house. I am happy to help with basic training, as long as we agree on style. Looking forward to meeting your pet!!
“We recently brought Cortney on as a partner for weekly walks with our pup, Stella. She has been thoughtfully collaborative, communicative and kind throughout our conversations and interactions. She's also incredible with Stella and has been great about getting to know her unique needs and preferences. We're looking forward to continuing to work with her!!”

About: As the owner of a 90 pound pit bull, I know firsthand that every dog has their own personality, needs, and comfort level. I have experience with big dogs, strong personalities, and pups who need a little extra patience, understanding, and consistency. I don’t believe every dog needs the same approach. Some dogs need an adventure, some need a slower sniff-filled walk, and some just need someone calm and consistent who will take the time to earn their trust. I’m an active person who genuinely enjoys being outside, so walks aren’t just a task - they’re something I truly look forward to. My goal is to give your dog the care, attention, and confidence they need while giving you one less thing to worry about. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize pet care and give each dog the attention they deserve. I’m intentional about creating a consistent schedule and providing reliable care, whether your dog needs a midday walk, regular exercise, or a little extra companionship while you’re away. I treat every dog and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. My dog Gary is basically my child, so I understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a big deal. I know how important it is to create a calm, safe environment and take the time to understand each dog’s personality, boundaries, and routines. I follow your instructions closely, whether that means sticking to feeding schedules, respecting your dog’s comfort level, managing interactions with other dogs, or providing a familiar routine while you’re away. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for, and for you to have complete peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
“Samantha is so kind and patient with my dog, Rudy, who is having a very hard time with our move this year and became reactive towards most things. She walks Rudy regularly and is very communicative and helpful. Rudy adores her. 10/10”

About: I absolutely love animals of all kinds and own a sweet 19-year-old cat named Jet. I've owned and lived with pets throughout my life. I have cared for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and birds many times throughout my life. I have experience administering medications and love to play with animals. I look forward to meeting your furry and feathered friends! I am a 37-year-old professional swing dance instructor, classical vocal coach, and piano teacher. I received my Bachelor's degree in Choral-Vocal Music Education from Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSULB. I studied Molecular Biology for 3 years before deciding to pursue teaching dance and music. I work freelance, so my schedule is flexible to tend to pets' needs throughout the day. I have worked in a variety of settings, including restaurants, music halls, recording studios, summer camps, dance studios, tutoring, and babysitting. I enjoy classic movies, gardening, crossword puzzles, camping, and cooking. I rely on the client to set the ground rules for their own home and pets, and adhere to those guidelines. Every pet parent has a good feel for their pet’s needs and care, and I look forward to learning about each unique pet I get to care for.
“Kayla goes above and beyond to take care of your pets needs! I am so thankful that she took exceptional of my Luna. I will be using her again for future needs and care.”

“Kino did a great job with my newly adopted 3 year old rescue. She knows her stuff, and was able to recommend a good training book. She communicates well and my dog is always happy to see her!”
“Krystal has been taking our dog on walks twice weekly for a few weeks now. She’s always very punctual and communicative. Our dog loves her time with Krystal!”

About: I am a pet lover through and through. I have had dogs my whole life. I have raised 3 puppies and retrained 2 adult dogs so no matter the age I can work with you. I have worked with trainers with my own dogs and happy to bring that experience with you. I grew up with cats as well and love them if they are sweet or spicy. I will be patient and loving with your fur baby. From playing to cleaning up after them, I am happy to help. Just let me know their likes, dislikes and what you are working on and I will do my best to step in when you need a helping hand. I am currently working sales full time and can be pretty flexible with my schedule. I mostly work remotely and can stay as you need I will show the utmost respect for you, your home and your fur baby. The safety of your pet is my biggest concern. I treat my clients like my own pets with as much love and affection I can give. Or gentle companionship if they are on the aloof side.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for about 7 years now. I have taken care of many different kinds of dogs as well as cats. I am currently unemployed home for the summer from college. I have a couple trips planned this summer but other than that I can watch or walk animals whenever. I can easily handle animals when walking them or getting them in their crates at home. I pay attention to animals body language and make sure I do what’s best for them.
About: I’ve owned and trained my own dogs, including working dogs, and have developed a strong understanding of dog behavior, training, and motivation. I take a thoughtful, structured approach to care—prioritizing each dog’s safety, happiness, and individual needs. I’ve also spent significant time researching canine behavior, which helps me read body language, manage different temperaments, and create a positive, low-stress environment. I have my own friendly, well-trained dog who gets along well with other dogs and will typically join me on walks and drop-in visits. If you prefer solo care for your dog, I’m happy to accommodate that with advance notice. For house sitting, my dog would need to come with me, but I always ensure a smooth and respectful introduction so both dogs are comfortable. I’m available to care for your dog on Friday evenings and throughout the weekends, and I’m flexible within that time for services such as walks, drop-ins, or extended care. I enjoy spending that time actively engaging with dogs through exercise, play, and attention tailored to their needs. If I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make sure their core needs are consistently met throughout the day—exercise, play, feeding, and regular bathroom breaks. I focus on keeping dogs both physically active and mentally engaged through walks, outdoor time, and interactive play tailored to their energy level and personality. I also pay close attention to their routine and comfort, making sure they feel safe, settled, and well cared for while their owner is away.
“Last week was the first time I used Edie for my new puppy Chester. He is quite the handful and she has done wonders with him. She’s been very flexible and genuinely enjoy to work with. Hopefully Chester will get used to her as I will be using her weekly for his walks.”

Lu was so gentle and caring for our 13yo Havanese dog who is completely blind , mostly deaf and his smell isn’t as good as it used to be. She would at times carry him back to the car because he was tired and ir hot. We had to adjust our walk times and she had no problems with last minute changes. She is very compassionate and caring. I would definitely recommend her in the future.

Anna took fantastic care of our pup, Ali, while we were out of town! She was incredibly responsive and even checked in with us when the air quality was terrible from the wildfires to make sure we were all on the same page about what was best for Ali. We felt so reassured knowing Ali was in such great hands. We’d rebook her again in a heartbeat!

Laurel helped me cover a phase when I was between dog walkers. My dog , AVA, is a shy type, but Laurel was very patient and got Ava out for longer walks that I expected, which was great ! Laurel sent videos and the report card of the walks was a nice feature. Ava warmed up to Laurel quickly, and I appreciated Laurel' flexibility scheduling and navigating the Rover site. Thank you for your services !

Rose is absolutely wonderful. I think my pup actually looks forward to me leaving town now because she enjoys her outings with Rose so much! She is lovely and obviously cares very much for the critters she is caring for. She goes above and beyond every single time.

Caroline was so patient and caring with my pup during a weekend when my pup was not feeling well. She took extra care of Ginger, my house and Goliath. I cannot thank her enough for the extra mile she went during this stressful weekend for Ginger! Thank you Caroline for all you've done for Ginger and Goliath!

Blake has been absolutely amazing with our dog, Benson. From day one, it was clear how much he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. Benson gets so excited every time Blake comes by, which says everything. Blake is reliable, communicative, and goes above and beyond to make sure Benson is well taken care of and happy. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. Anyone who hires Blake will be incredibly happy, we can’t recommend him enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
