“Renee takes great care of our elder dog, Chuck Norris. With her help, he's been able to go on longer and longer walks, truly enjoying the last bits of life. We are incredible thankful for Renee's continued involvement as our dog walker - she for a phenomenal job.”

About: I have five years of experience dog sitting and house sitting for friends and family. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I always make it a priority to help them feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, or simply providing companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m responsible, reliable, and respectful of clients’ homes, and I make sure to follow instructions carefully. I also enjoy sending updates and photos so owners can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I enjoy spending time with animals. I have experience house sitting and caring for pets while owners are away, and I make it a priority to follow each pet’s normal schedule. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, or simply providing companionship, I’m committed to making sure your pets feel comfortable and cared for. I communicate regularly and can provide updates and photos throughout my visits or stay. I understand that trusting someone with your pets and home is a big decision. I always follow care instructions carefully and make sure pets remain safe, comfortable, and on their usual routine. While house sitting, I keep homes clean, secure, and well cared for, and I treat both pets and property with respect. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior and needs, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make your pets feel loved and you feel that your house safe and secure while away.
About: I have a special place in my heart for dogs! I’ve been around dogs since I can remember. I have taken care of many animals for my own family and friends. I am also college athlete who loves to take dogs on walks as much as I can! I am currently working part time throughout the week but I am very flexible with those times so pet care can fit in very easily. I have a big fenced yard perfect for dogs to run and play! I live on a long street perfect for walks! I can also crate your pup if needed
“Andi was extremely responsive and easy to work with for my last minute dog walking booking! Andi was great with my dog Maddy, and I would definitely book with Andi again.”

“Rachel has been wonderful with our dog, Hazel. She’s been taking Hazel on long weekday walks and has truly gone above and beyond. Hazel used to pull and get easily distracted on walks, which made them challenging, and Rachel immediately offered to work with her on loose-leash walking. In just a short time, Hazel has improved so much and is now walking calmly, paying attention, and doing great on leash. Rachel is incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She sends thoughtful updates and the cutest photos, and Hazel absolutely loves her and gets so excited when she arrives. We’re so grateful to have found Rachel and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog walker.”

“Brooke helped me out last minute when I unexpectedly needed a dog walker. I was nervous to hire somebody on the fly that I hadn’t met yet first but she was absolutely wonderful with my pups and they ended up really loving her. I even had neighbors comment on how happy my pups were when they saw her walking them and said they were prancing 🥹. She was trustworthy and communicative, and I would definitely have Brooke look after my pups again!”

About: I had a corgi until I was 12 years old who I fed, walked, and played with for much of my childhood. I also have frequently walked my neighbors’ dogs and gone over to feed/watch them when they aren’t at home, including when my neighbor’s golden retriever was still a puppy, although I am also capable of handling big dogs too. I have always loved animals and, especially as an introvert, getting to hang out with them all summer is something I am more than happy to do! I am currently back home for the summer until around mid August, and this is the only form of work I’ll be doing while I’m here. Any activity I want to do is something that can be done at more or less any time, meaning my schedule will be very flexible and able to cater to what you need. I make sure to give the animal as much space as needed before jumping straight in. Some pets are more reserved and it can be tough for them to get used to a new person in their space, so I like to make sure I meet them where they’re at. I ask the owner any questions I have both in advance and also while they’re gone if something comes up. I like to be prepared and know where everything is and how to deal with any situation that might occur, so open communication is something I really strive for.
“Claudia came through for me at the last minute when everyone else I talked through in Rover fell through. She was attentive and communicative throughout and had the perfect energy to match my dog's. It is reassuring to know that there is someone trustworthy to reach out to in the future.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
