Gentle, Fear Free Pet Sitter
I'm a Bothell-based creative currently working as a cat sitter with Whiskers at Home, where I've completed extensive in-person and virtual training, including Feline Fundamentals and a Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification that covers both cats and dogs. While I'm a cat person at heart, I fell in love with dogs when my sister got a puppy over two years ago. I live close by, and her doggy Luna has become my best friend. I take her on daily walks, spoil her with love and treats, and have made many furry friends around the neighborhood thanks to her, always ready for pets and playdates. Those walks have taught me to read a dog's body language and to know when a pup needs a break or a drink of water. I've also befriended local outdoor cats, much to my own glee! I love going on long walks, letting dogs be dogs, with plenty of time for sniffs and enrichment. I'm comfortable with leashes and harnesses, feedings, potty breaks, and playtime. I'm also happy to give medication in food, and I'm open to other kinds case by case after the pet parent shows me how, with my Fear Free training to draw on. I send photo and message updates after every visit and will always keep your house keys secure. I've also had pet rats, fish, and have cared for guinea pigs and hamsters in the past. I'm excited to bring this same spirit to the pets and families of Rover in Bothell, Kirkland, and neighboring areas. I'd be happy to start with a meet and greet, so your pet and I can get to know each other!

I take animal safety very seriously and prioritize it in every interaction. I'm happy to come to your home for visits and walks, and I'll meet your pet's needs for low stress and comfortable experiences. Overnights are also an option once I've met your pet and we've built a routine that works for them. I will always follow your instructions, monitor pets closely, and make sure they’re happy and secure at all times. For ease of mind, I have a Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification, along with Feline Fundamentals training, so my main focus is ensuring your pet is as fear-, anxiety-, and stress-free as possible while providing attentive care.
Ratings and reviews
Irina has been with us since Luna was just a puppy. She has been caring for Luna when we have to go on trips or even just out all day. I can always rely on her to check on Luna, feed her, walk her and play with her. Luna loves seeing Irina and gets really excited to go on walks with her. I love that Irina respects our values, training and Luna’s boundaries. She knows where to pet Luna and where she prefers not to be touched (on her head). I’m so grateful that I have someone I can really rely on. Irina is always on time, courteous and a great communicator.
Irina watched our dog, Matilda, while we were out of town for a week a few times, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She treated our home with complete respect and sent daily photo updates that gave us total peace of mind. Matilda was happy, relaxed, and well-exercised when we returned. Highly recommended to any pet parent!

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible, with my Whiskers at Home role being part-time. I'm open during the week, weekends, and holidays. I’m a graphic designer by trade and do freelance work on a flexible schedule. I’d love to build bonds with neighborhood pets, growing my pet sitting services and skills. I’m available for walks while pet parents are at work, for kitty feedings and enriching playtime, and everything in between! :)

- I would love to establish their full care routine based on their needs, such as: what and how they eat every day, where you keep their food, their water sources, normal bathroom habits, where their leash is, any special quirks, what makes them feel most comfortable, their hiding spots, approved treats, favorite toys, etc. I am also more than happy to meet with you and your pet before you entrust me with daily walks/visits or before your trip, either in-person or virtually.
