I work freelance as a copywriter and have a lot of flexibility during the workday. I'm more than happy to check in on your pets during long work days or take them out on a walk to stretch their legs.

Safety, trust & environment
My style is calm and centered. I take a little time to let animals get used to me before I try and disrupt their day at all. My preference is to meet dogs with their people and see what their routines are so I can be as consistent as possible with commands and training.
Information Allie L. would like to know about your pet
• Any behavioral needs or triggers (noises, other dogs, strangers, bikes, etc.) • Food sensitivities or allergies (I sometimes carry treats!) • How your pet prefers to receive praise or reassurance—words, pets, space, treats? • Walk preferences (short and sniffy, long and energetic, avoid crowded areas?) • Routines that help them feel safe (feeding times, crate/rest time, comfort items) • Any quirks or “need-to-know” habits that are unique to your pet The more you share, the better I can show up for your animal the way you would.
A typical day
A typical day with me is calm, thoughtful, and full of care. I tailor our routine to your pet’s needs—whether that’s a playful walk, a quiet hangout, or a little extra reassurance for animals who feel nervous or shy when their people are away. I’m especially attentive with anxious pets and take the time to read their cues, respect their pace, and offer the kind of steady, gentle presence that helps them feel safe. I work part-time and often from home, so your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches—and they’ll get consistent attention throughout the day.

Calm, Kind care for your pet
Pet care experience
I got my first dog training book when I was in third grade. I had always loved animals, and had finally been given the responsibility of my own dog ( a dachshund I named July.) Since then, I've been lucky enough to be entrusted with the care of many wonderful animals. My favorites are the skittish or aloof critters who need a little extra patience before they're willing to give their trust.

Reviews

Thank you for caring for Myrtle!

Great sitter and good communication!

Allie was very helpful and communicative in a pinch with a newly acquired puppy. Willing to go above and beyond. Recommended.

Allie was able to walk my pup on short notice and was great with him!
