“Michelle and Brian are the best! I had a last minute request for a play date with Ari and they were quick to accept. Oakley had a great day with his new best friend!”

“Lauren was a great host. She introduced my pup to hers one by one. They have a big spacious backyard for the pups to run and play. Highly recommend. I will be coming back for day care.”

“Thanks for giving me a tired and happy dog when I picked him up! You're the only sitter he's thoroughly happy to see. Must have something to do with those extra ball throwers you have :)”

About: I have been a pet owner since birth. Growing up in my household we were surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and many rodents and amphibians. In the morning I must feed and change the water for my cat as well as birds. We begin with making my cat do a trick and then she gets fed. I have crates and a downstairs of my house to easily separate animals if any disputes should pop up. I am a trusted individual who can guarantee your pet's safety and happiness.
“First time using Janet as a sitter and it went amazing! Was getting some work done on my home that wasn’t really optimal for my dog to be around for a few hours and needed to find a sitter nearby and Janet had the availability and checked all my boxes. We did a little meet and greet at her home beforehand and my dog, Charli, had no problems meeting her and being in her home. Will definitely contact her again should I need a sitter.”

“Annie had doggy friends to play with and came home content and tired and excited to go back the next day. I’m from out of state and pick up and drop off was easy and flexible which was really helpful for us too.”

About: Hi! We are Erick and Laura and both grew up in households filled with dogs. We are both fully employed in the tech world, both privileged enough to work from home every day all day which enables us to spend hours on end with our dog as well, and take regular 1-2 hour walks throughout the day. We walk 5 miles minimum a day with our very active australian shepherd, and we actually run a photography and travel business on the side so we are always out doing something fun/cool/active, especially for those dogs looking to integrate into adventurous days while their humans are traveling! We've pet sat many different types of dogs over the years and are capable, motivated and excited to watch your dog! We work from home every day and have very flexible schedules, so we can accommodate pretty much any schedule that your dog needs. We are already frequently at the dog park with our dog as well! We can accommodate any need. If your dog prefers a crate, needs medicines, needs additional support, we can certainly work with you to make sure your dog is happy as possible while you are away. We are also very regular picture takers so will send many happy updates. You may even get professional photos of your dog given Erick's propensity for beautiful photos! :)
“Qiaohui did an amazing job with Owen. She sent us a ton of pics throughout the day, and it was great to be able to see Owen playing with his pup friends:) Drop off/pick up was very easy, and I am very grateful to have found a safe and fun place for Owen to stay ☺️”

“My two pups had a great time at Vicki's and were relaxed and happy when I picked them up. My old geezer Chihuahua didn't even go on a hunger strike like he usually does when I leave him with someone. She has a big, fenced yard and supervises the dogs closely. We will definitely be back!”
“Sarah was super communicative and let us feel safe first time leaving our dog! It may have not been the best fit but she helped us understand things we could with Riley in the future.”

About: I have loved and cared for animals since I was 17 years old and have a very special connection with the creatures that I have had the honor of caring for. Providing engaging play, nourishment, healthy boundaries and safe environment are all important aspects of pet care. I have a beautiful yard and neighborhood in North Seattle. Our hearts and home welcome your furry friend I am a self employed massage therapist with a very light schedule and won't be away from the house for more than 4 hours at a time. Most days home throughout the day. Although I have the capability of caring for up to three dogs at a time, I'm happy to have just one depending upon your pets needs and demeanor I have a fenced in backyard and several wonderful parks nearby for walks. Dogs are welcome to free roam in our home & welcome to be on the furniture if they choose. I've had dogs in my home for most of my life but no longer I have my own pets

“Caitie and Sean are wonderful with my dog, Ollie! They’re flexible, quick to respond, and always send pictures during Ollie’s daycare visits, which I really appreciate. I know he’s in great hands with them, so I book with them often!”

“Once again, a blast with the Ina house! She took great care of my pup and sent awesome pictures of playtime and good behavior. Thanks so much, can’t wait for next time.”

“Very responsive and was able to accommodate on short notice. Bonnie seemed to enjoy snuggling on all the soft blankies and dog beds there too! Came home happy and healthy, I got lots of photos and updates. Bonnie probably appreciated being the only dog there too haha.”

“First time with Noah and Tess. I’m so glad to have found them. Perky was very happy when first entering their home. I appreciate the pics and the friendly Welcome. I’ll be asking again in the future.”

“Super grateful Gargi was able to watch my pup last minute when I went into work this week. I appreciate all the updates in realtime she provided as well. Gargi’s dog, June, and mine became instant pals! By the end of the day I can tell she had fun playing and got some exercise in. Thank you Gargi and June!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Forest Park
Vicki is AMAZING. She was recommended by a neighbor who took their dog to her years ago. She spent a lot of time meeting Frannie (and us), asking lots of thoughtful questions and really "reading" our pup. Frannie comes home from doggie daycare at Vicki's happy, exhausted, and better trained than when we dropped her off lol! Highly recommend Vicki's care for your dog.

Our new rescue Frannie is very shy and nervous about new situations and Lauren and Ryan were amazing at making her feel comfortable during th e meet and greet and on her first day of daycare! Lauren gave me updates and we had some great photos of Frannie’s fun day. Highly recommend!

We needed a brief respite for our dog, who is recovering from ACL surgery, during our daughter's high school grad party. Janet came to the rescue! She was the perfect, calming influence and has an ideal home set up, with very few stairs for our girl to navigate. Thanks so much for your help, Janet!
My first time using Rover and first time boarding my dog. Dena was welcoming and communicative. She let me up to date with photos during my dogs stay with her. She gave me thoughtful feedback to help my dog have success with future boarding. I appreciate Dena and highly recommend her to anyone.

Ellyssa and Anthony are amazing with my dog, Knox. He gets excited every time we turn the corner on their street. They not only care for him but seek opportunities to enrich his time with needed exercise and active play time. Thank you for also being flexible with care when my schedule fluctuates.

She took such great care of my pup for the day on short notice. Her dog is such a sweet gentle soul and got along great with mine. They all had a nice time in her big backyard to run around, she gave my pup love and treats - I’m sure he was very happy with the whole experience. :) Thanks so much!!

Roni did a great job making me feel comfortable leaving my two pups with her for daycare for the first time. She shared lots of photos, videos, and reassured me of how they were doing throughout the day. Margo and Tucker came home happy and tired after playing with their new friends!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
