“Michelle and Brian are the best! I had a last minute request for a play date with Ari and they were quick to accept. Oakley had a great day with his new best friend!”

About: Hi! We are Erick and Laura and both grew up in households filled with dogs. We are both fully employed in the tech world, both privileged enough to work from home every day all day which enables us to spend hours on end with our dog as well, and take regular 1-2 hour walks throughout the day. We walk 5 miles minimum a day with our very active australian shepherd, and we actually run a photography and travel business on the side so we are always out doing something fun/cool/active, especially for those dogs looking to integrate into adventurous days while their humans are traveling! We've pet sat many different types of dogs over the years and are capable, motivated and excited to watch your dog! We work from home every day and have very flexible schedules, so we can accommodate pretty much any schedule that your dog needs. We are already frequently at the dog park with our dog as well! We can accommodate any need. If your dog prefers a crate, needs medicines, needs additional support, we can certainly work with you to make sure your dog is happy as possible while you are away. We are also very regular picture takers so will send many happy updates. You may even get professional photos of your dog given Erick's propensity for beautiful photos! :)
“Annie had doggy friends to play with and came home content and tired and excited to go back the next day. I’m from out of state and pick up and drop off was easy and flexible which was really helpful for us too.”

“First time using Janet as a sitter and it went amazing! Was getting some work done on my home that wasn’t really optimal for my dog to be around for a few hours and needed to find a sitter nearby and Janet had the availability and checked all my boxes. We did a little meet and greet at her home beforehand and my dog, Charli, had no problems meeting her and being in her home. Will definitely contact her again should I need a sitter.”

About: I have been a pet owner since birth. Growing up in my household we were surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and many rodents and amphibians. In the morning I must feed and change the water for my cat as well as birds. We begin with making my cat do a trick and then she gets fed. I have crates and a downstairs of my house to easily separate animals if any disputes should pop up. I am a trusted individual who can guarantee your pet's safety and happiness.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was twelve years old! My family has had two golden retrievers, a poodle, a beagle, a horse, a hampster, and lots of fish. I constantly help out with friends and family, whether that is feeding or taking their animals on walks. I enjoy taking care of all types of dogs! I work from home Monday through Friday. I am a remote employee with flexible hours so I am able to watch animals during the day! I own a spacious condo in a condominium complex on the ground floor. My HOA is dog friendly and my back sliding door opens up to a huge grass dog area. I am also able to work remotely from my client’s homes!
“We're so happy to have found Lorena! Our trusted sitter was unable to sit any longer and we scoured Rover to find Lorena. She is in tune with the pups, kind, thoughtful and has a very relaxed environment for the pups. Bear loved his visit and we're ecstatic to have found a loving environment for him.”

About: I’ve lived with and cared for dogs of many breeds for over 10 years. I’ve raised my own dogs and helped care for rescues and friends’ pets. I understand dog behaviour, body language, and how to communicate with them. I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely care about animals. I work from home and am available throughout the day. I can take your dog for walks as needed and give them attention and care without long gaps. My schedule is consistent, so your dog won’t be left alone. I have a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time. My senior dog is calm and friendly with other dogs—she’s never had issues and can be good company. I always keep an eye on interactions and make sure the environment stays low-stress and safe.
“Qiaohui and her husband took excellent care of our dog while we were away. They have lovely dogs too. I received regular updates, photos, and videos, which gave us peace of mind. Our pup came back happy, content. We would like to ask for their help again.”

“Sarah was super communicative and let us feel safe first time leaving our dog! It may have not been the best fit but she helped us understand things we could with Riley in the future.”

About: I've cared for dogs belonging to friends and family for several years, including overnight boarding in my home. At one point, we cared for two guest dogs in addition to our own dog, so I'm comfortable managing multiple dogs while making sure each gets attention, exercise, and a safe environment. I'm active and enjoy long walks, and I understand how important routine, patience, and clear communication are. I know every dog has a different personality, so I take the time to help them feel comfortable and keep owners updated with photos and messages. My goal is for both you and your dog to feel relaxed and confident while you're away. I'm currently very flexible and can provide plenty of attention throughout the day. I enjoy being active and taking dogs for walks, playing with them, and making sure they stick to their normal routines. I offer boarding, daycare, and walks, and I'll work with you to accommodate your schedule whenever possible. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard and a friendly 6-year-old Black Labrador who enjoys the company of other dogs. I've cared for friends' dogs in my home, including boarding multiple dogs at the same time, so I'm comfortable introducing dogs carefully and supervising their interactions. To give every guest my full attention, I only accept dogs from one family at a time for boarding. I'll follow your dog's feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special instructions you provide, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay.
“Jessica is amazing! I found her when I had some last minute meetings and she was so wonderful with updates and photos that we are hoping for this to be a regular thing. We will definitely be using her services again. My samoyed came home so happy and calm! She is excited to go visit again!”

“They took great care of my crazy husky! She is currently sleeping on the deck (woohoo!). They sent lots of videos, pictures, and updates to make sure I know she’s doing ok. This was my first time using Rover, and they made my experience great. No complaints here. Thank you!”

“I had the pleasure of having Hardik as my dog sitter, and I couldn't be happier with the care he provided for my Yorkie. Hardik is not only a great person but also a caring and responsible individual. He went above and beyond to ensure that my dog felt comfortable and loved during his stay. It was heartwarming to see my dog wag his tail with excitement every time he saw Hardik and his own pet, Max. I highly recommend Hardik as a dog sitter to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to take care of their furry friends.”

“Toto had a blast with Alex and Sarah for day care today, who were extremely communicative and easy to work with. Will definitely bring him back for daycare, or future overnight stays! Thank you for taking such great care of our Toto!”

“First time with Noah and Tess. I’m so glad to have found them. Perky was very happy when first entering their home. I appreciate the pics and the friendly Welcome. I’ll be asking again in the future.”

“What an amazing day for Sammie! Sammie and Ringo are besties now, and Sammie came home happy and all tuckered out. Thank you so much for talking great care of our little boy!”

My dog Nala is a very anxious dog, but going for regular visits at Cait and Sean's has given her so much more confidence in her interactions with other dogs. They are always very accommodating, and show so much care when introducing Nala to the other dogs that may be spending time with them. They are both so good with her!
Scott took great care of my dog, Annie! She came home happy and completely worn out, which is always a good sign. He sent pictures during her stay and even took her for a walk, which I really appreciated. I would definitely use Scott again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Jasmine took time to do a meet and greet before we did our day of daycare. Jasmine showed calm and approachable demeanor to our dogs. Our Chihuahua had never been cared for by a sitter before and she even won him over. We love that she only takes dogs from the same home at one time for our little stress case.

We needed a brief respite for our dog, who is recovering from ACL surgery, during our daughter's high school grad party. Janet came to the rescue! She was the perfect, calming influence and has an ideal home set up, with very few stairs for our girl to navigate. Thanks so much for your help, Janet!
My first time using Rover and first time boarding my dog. Dena was welcoming and communicative. She let me up to date with photos during my dogs stay with her. She gave me thoughtful feedback to help my dog have success with future boarding. I appreciate Dena and highly recommend her to anyone.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lake Forest Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
