Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or at a client’s home, I always treat them like part of the family. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. In my home: I provide a calm and pet-friendly environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely — from feeding and walks to playtime and rest. I make sure there’s always fresh water, cozy spots to relax, and lots of attention and affection throughout the day. I also make sure the space is secure so they stay safe at all times. In my home, I keep the space dog-friendly — no hazards, plenty of soft spots to rest, and a peaceful atmosphere. If I’m visiting your home, I follow your instructions exactly and respect your pet’s routine and space. I always keep a close eye on pets during walks or playtime, and I never leave them unsupervised in unfamiliar settings. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone — and I do everything I can to earn that trust every single time.

Before watching any pet, I like to learn as much as I can to make sure they’re safe, happy, and comfortable. It’s important for me to know: • Daily routine – feeding times, walk schedule, sleep habits, etc. • Personality – are they shy, playful, anxious, or cuddly? • Any health issues or medications – allergies, injuries, or anything medical I should be aware of. • Behavior around other animals or people – do they get along with kids, dogs, or strangers? • Triggers or fears – like loud noises, separation anxiety, or anything that might stress them. • Commands they know – and how you usually communicate with them. • House rules – are they allowed on furniture, do they need to be crated, etc. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can give them personalized and loving care. 🐾 Flea Prevention Requirement For the safety and comfort of all dogs in my care, all dogs must be on current flea prevention (such as NexGard, Simparica, Bravecto, Frontline, Advantage, etc.) before their stay. Dogs showing signs of fleas (scratching, flea dirt, or live fleas) cannot be accepted. If fleas are noticed at drop-off or during the stay, I may need to cancel the booking or require immediate flea treatment at the owner’s expense. I love keeping pets happy, active, and entertained! Depending on the pet’s energy level and personality, I adjust the activities to suit their needs. Some of the fun things I enjoy doing with them include: • Walks and outdoor play – whether it’s a relaxing stroll or a playful run, I make sure they get fresh air and exercise. • Tug-of-war, fetch, and chase games – great for burning energy and bonding. • Puzzle toys and treat games – to keep their minds sharp and curious. • Cuddle time and belly rubs – for pets who love affection and calm moments. • Photo sessions – I love capturing cute and funny moments to share with the owners! My goal is to make sure each pet feels loved, engaged, and comfortable while they’re with me.

I can help with basic training, follow medication routines, and provide a calm, comfortable environment for shy or nervous pups. We are SO grateful to have found Dena and have our girl, Juno, receive her loving care. Her communication was always kind, timely and responsive, and she sent photos regularly to us that made it clear our Juno was having a wonderful time during her stay. Even though Juno tends to be anxious in unfamiliar surroundings, she seemed right at home with Dena and the 2 or 3 other compatible boarding dogs she met during her 4 night stay. She appeared to be having more fun in the pics than she does in her own home!! We look forward to having Juno in Dena’s care for future bookings.
Our dog Koa had a great time at Dena’s. We received lots of updates which were appreciated!
This was our second time booking Dena and we couldn’t be happier. She’s an excellent, caring dogsitter who genuinely loves dogs and it shows. She was super responsive throughout Peaches’ overnight stay and sent photos of our dog having a blast in the pool. Peaches came home happy and we could tell she was well taken care of. Will definitely book again!
Dena has been so communicative since day 1 (meet and greet). She’s flexible, friendly, has a big home, and best of all: sends photos or videos every day! She had a few other dogs at the same time so it was wonderful seeing our Pebbles play with them all. Would highly recommend.
