Skilled dog fosters ready to pupsit

Hello! We are Hunter and Ellyssa. Just a married couple that grew up with farm animals and loves dogs. Together, we've fostered 4 rescue dogs - some reactive, some super calm - and raised them to become ready for their forever homes! We don't have any pups of our own right now and so we are welcoming all kinds of pups in our home! Ellyssa (uh-Lisa) has taken care of doberman's and dachshunds since she was 11 years old. She loves every type of dog personality and looks forward to dog walks as much as the dogs. She has helped rescue dogs from Mexico and has fostered over 10 dogs of varying ages from 4 months to 13 years old senior dogs. Hunter grew up with 2 golden retrievers named Rosie & Susie and then became a dog trainer for search and rescue dogs in North Carolina. He's helped train puppies up until they were 3 years old and loves to learn about every dog's quirks.

House Sitting • Jul 14, 2026

We had a great experience with both house and dog sitting. Both dogs were well cared for and we received many photos and updates while we were away. This was a huge decision for me to have my pets cared for in my home and I am very happy with the decision. The pets were happy and I can’t wait to book with Ellyssa and Hunter.

House Sitting • Jun 18, 2026

Ellyssa and Hunter took wonderful care of our Dachshund, Bentley, while house-sitting. They were communicative, professional, respectful of our home, and incredibly kind and patient with Bentley's quirks. They quickly understood his personality, and he warmed up to them right away - playing, lounging in the sun, and enjoying plenty of blanket snuggles. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he was so comfortable and well cared for while we were away. We've already booked them for our next trip and highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and caring pet sitters!

Doggy Day Care • May 08, 2026

Ellyssa and Anthony are amazing with my dog, Knox. He gets excited every time we turn the corner on their street. They not only care for him but seek opportunities to enrich his time with needed exercise and active play time. Thank you for also being flexible with care when my schedule fluctuates.

Boarding • May 07, 2026

Ellyssa and Anthony were the best sitters for my anxious dog Phoenix! They were both incredibly knowledgeable about and experienced with anxious/reactive dogs and dog/animal training in general. They asked very thoughtful questions at our meet and greet and made me and Phoenix feel welcomed. They even fed Phoenix a peanut butter apple slice, after asking me for permission. Drop off was super easy and I received tons of cute pictures and updates throughout the long weekend. My ferry was delayed coming back to Seattle, so Ellyssa and Anthony were flexible with pick up. Phoenix came home happy and exhausted from all the adventures and sun bathing. Would highly recommend Ellyssa and Anthony if you’re looking for a sitter!

Great experience. Our dog has a fresh food diet and needs a bit more attention for his anxiety. Elyssa didn’t mind the extra notes we sent her for watching Max when we were gone.

We honestly don’t know what we would have done without Hunter for the first year of adopting Scout. He started watching Scout, five days a week when he was just 4 months old, and he’s been a constant part of Scout’s life until we moved at age two. We had a busy work schedule and used Hunter for daily daycare which we mostly needed for the first 6-8 months with Scout. We miss you!

We both work flexible remote jobs and spend 6 out of 7 days at home. When we do choose to go in-office, it's usually just to get out of the house. Because of our flexible jobs, we are able to build our schedules around puppy care and senior care needs.

Safety, trust & environment

We're happy to provide boarding and daycare at our home or at your home! Wherever your pups are most comfortable with. Walking visits are also available if we can arrange a regular schedule so it can be worked into our work calendars! For all services, we will ask you for your dog’s daily routine, their personality quirks, preferences, etc. so they can trust us sooner! And of course, we will send photos! Daycare, housesitting, and overnight stays would be structured around your pup’s existing schedule. Walks and check-ins would occur as close to your pup’s schedule as possible with the time range you choose. We are experienced with both puppies (hard minimum age of 8 weeks) and senior dogs that have a range of diet, potty, and oral medication needs. We are also experienced with reactive dogs with a history of biting. However, we only take reactive dogs on a case-by-case basis after a trial meet and greet walk with you (the human) present. We live in a very pet-friendly apartment complex that has a dog spa station that we use for grooming visiting pups. Our own apartment is a spacious 1100+ square foot 2 bed/2 bath apartment with a patio that has space for up to 2-3 dogs for boarding. We live near a very walkable neighborhoods and 2 parks that are dog friendly. We also live near Edmonds and enjoy taking dogs to the beach if they are a fan of humans and water.

A typical day

Daycare, housesitting, and overnight stays would be structured around your pup’s existing schedule. Walks and check-ins would occur as close to your pup’s schedule as possible with the time range you choose. We have a basket of enrichment treat toys as well as toys for both soft and hard chewers that your pup is free to use throughout the day! We love to use enrichment toys throughout the day and play lots of catch. Walks can be short or long depending on what your pup needs. We’re very used to pups who need to find all the new smells in the neighborhood. We also have multiple parks within a 30-40min walk that my partner and I love walking to and are happy to take your pup to explore!

Please send us a message with your dog’s daily routine, their personality quirks, preferences, etc. so they can trust us sooner! The services will all be structured around the information you send us about them. :) It would also be helpful to send us a photo of your pup, their level of reactivity around humans/dogs, and any special needs. We are happy to accommodate whenever we can!
