“Theresa is a true dog person. I've got 3 different dogs and I will say, they're high maintenance! She is so gracious and understands (she grew up with border collies and labs--border collies also are high maintenance LOL!). I love that she has a force free philosophy which aligns with my R+ positive reinforcement principles. She plays with my mini Aussie and that means a lot because he can literally drive you crazy with his desire for you to throw a ball and play. Currently, we're just going for daycare, but I intend to board with her because her home environment is clean and very dog positive (totally set up for dogs). She does have young children, but they are very respectful. I even got a picture of my Papillon tolerating a few gentle pets. She typically doesn't like children, so this says a lot about Theresa's kids. I highly recommend her care.”

“Super grateful Gargi was able to watch my pup last minute when I went into work this week. I appreciate all the updates in realtime she provided as well. Gargi’s dog, June, and mine became instant pals! By the end of the day I can tell she had fun playing and got some exercise in. Thank you Gargi and June!”

“My experience in working with Spring was excellent. She was extremely responsive in scheduling and throughout watching our pup. She took multiple photos throughout the day and was accommodating with our schedule. Highly recommend and will absolutely reach out to Spring again!”

“Thanks Le for looking after Spud! I have received couple status updates during the day. I really appreciated that. And Spud even learnt a new trick from you! Hope to have you as sitter again. Very recommended”

About: I’ve lived with and cared for dogs of many breeds for over 10 years. I’ve raised my own dogs and helped care for rescues and friends’ pets. I understand dog behaviour, body language, and how to communicate with them. I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely care about animals. I work from home and am available throughout the day. I can take your dog for walks as needed and give them attention and care without long gaps. My schedule is consistent, so your dog won’t be left alone. I have a fenced backyard for safe outdoor time. My senior dog is calm and friendly with other dogs—she’s never had issues and can be good company. I always keep an eye on interactions and make sure the environment stays low-stress and safe.

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for animals since I was 6 years old. I grew up with dogs, a parrot, and a hamster, and I’ve helped friends and family with their pets for years. I can proudly say that I treat every pet like my own ❤️ I have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, so your pet will get plenty of attention and won’t be left alone. I also accept short-notice and emergency bookings, since I understand plans can change unexpectedly. I’m especially good with shy, nervous, or active pets, and I have experience caring for senior dogs, always adjusting to each pet’s needs and routine. My home is calm, clean, and pet-free, which helps create a safe, low-stress environment. I pay close attention to details, follow instructions carefully, and can give medication or support pets with special needs. I also send regular updates so you always feel confident your pet is in good hands. I’m currently an online college student studying Computer Science, so my schedule is very flexible and I spend most of my time at home. I enjoy walking outside, especially on sunny days, which is perfect to do with a pet. I’m also a runner, so if your pet enjoys running, I’d be happy to take them along with me. Keeping my space clean and safe is very important to me because it directly affects a pet’s health and comfort. I live in a peaceful neighborhood with nearby trails and parks, and I also have a yard where pets can spend time outside if walking isn’t possible. I currently don’t have any pets at home, so there won’t be any conflicts. I do live with my 3-year-old cousin, but she is very gentle and loving with animals and is always supervised by her parents.
About: I have been a pet owner since birth. Growing up in my household we were surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and many rodents and amphibians. In the morning I must feed and change the water for my cat as well as birds. We begin with making my cat do a trick and then she gets fed. I have crates and a downstairs of my house to easily separate animals if any disputes should pop up. I am a trusted individual who can guarantee your pet's safety and happiness.
About: Hi! My name is Orietta, and having raised and cared for my own furry companion, which live with us, I know just how important pets are—and how hard it can be to leave them in someone else's hands. My main goal is to give you complete peace of mind while you're away by offering your pet a home filled with care, safety, and lots of love. What do I offer? A spacious, 100% secure yard—perfect for playing, running, and exploring outdoors safely. Constant supervision—your pet will never be left alone and will receive all the attention and cuddles they deserve. A personalized routine—I strictly follow their feeding, walking, and rest schedules so they feel right at home. Daily updates—I’ll send you photos and videos regularly so you can see just how much fun they’re having. There are no cages or stress here—just a warm, family atmosphere; I host only one guest at a time, so they’ll be treated like a member of the family. I’m ready to welcome your best friend and give them a vacation that’s just as fun as yours! By working 100% from home, your dog will enjoy constant company, continuous supervision, and a calm environment. Their routine won't be disrupted; I schedule my work breaks around their walks and playtime, ensuring he/she feels just as loved and secure as they do in their own home. No creat, fully fence yard, a very calm partner (my dog), no crowded environment and just one guest. Every day pictures and/or videos to give you peace of mind.
“We got sooo lucky finding Taylor. Taylor is so attentive and caring, with such gentle and compassionate care for my senior dog's needs. Bella came home happy and content. Will definitely seek Taylor's services again.”

“Everybody in Koda's family takes such great care of Ernest when he visits. Ernest is always jazzed to spend the day. Ernest has been going over to their house for day care for almost a year now, sometimes regularly and sometimes just whenever there's a need for it. Since the start, Emily and Steven have been responsive and super easy to communicate with, and they share the silliest pictures too.”

About: I am an Electrician that loves to get outside and be active. Especially with a pup or two! I grew up around cats but I've been living and working around dogs for 12 years now! I've volunteered as a dog walker at Everett Animal Shelter in the past and have been through dog training classes for my dog. I currently work full-time as a commercial electrician. I have availability for pup care in the evenings and on weekends. I have extra support with pup care from my lovely spouse and trusted neighbors/family when necessary. We have a large fenced in backyard for your pup to play when the weather is nice. Lots of space in the home I share with my wife and our friendly small dog Kenji. Crista Ministries is nearby and is a great place for walks!
“Thank you again for watching Dusty on such short notice! Dusty is so chill and mellow with Christina! They love watching tv together and I was updated all the way!”

About: Hi, I’m Ali! My family and I provide a calm, loving home where dogs become part of the family during their stay. I work remotely full-time, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pup loves long walks and outdoor adventures or prefers lounging on the couch and soaking up affection, I tailor their stay to their individual needs and personality. I intentionally keep the number of dogs in my care low so that every guest receives personalized attention, a consistent routine, and a comfortable home environment. My goal is simple: I want your dog to feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My experience caring for dogs spans a lifetime, including nearly 16 wonderful years with my soul dog, Rudy. Caring for him through every stage of life, including his senior years, gave me firsthand experience with aging dogs, medications, mobility challenges, and the extra patience and care some pets need. Because of that experience, I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and those with unique needs. What Your Dog Can Expect ✔ A safe, family-oriented home environment ✔ A sitter who works from home and is present throughout the day ✔ Personalized care with a limited number of dogs at one time ✔ Daily walks, playtime, enrichment, and companionship ✔ Experience with senior dogs and medication administration ✔ Frequent photo and video updates so you can relax while you’re away ✔ Flexible care tailored to your dog’s routine, energy level, and personality Our Home We live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood with access to parks, walking trails, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and exploration. At home, dogs have comfortable spaces to relax, play, and feel at ease. Whether your dog is energetic and adventurous or prefers a slower pace, I’ll make sure they receive the attention, exercise, and affection they need to feel comfortable and cared for. A Good Fit I love building relationships with both dogs and their owners. Before every stay, I like to learn about your dog’s routine, personality, preferences, and any special needs so I can provide the best possible experience. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your dog is being cared for as if they were one of my own. Meet Pepe! Our resident pup, Pepe, is a friendly and social Bichon Frisé who loves making new friends. He’s playful, gentle, and does a great job helping visiting dogs feel comfortable and welcome in our home. If your dog enjoys having a buddy around, Pepe is happy to show them the ropes (and the best spots for naps). Schedule / Routine: I work remotely full-time, so my flexible schedule allows me to have plenty of time to walk, care, and play with your dog. We have a grassy, flat front yard lined with trees with an anchored run for dogs to play and explore. We live close to several parks with great trails for walking. Whether your pup is high or low energy, I can accommodate any needs for exercise.

Scott took great care of my dog, Annie! She came home happy and completely worn out, which is always a good sign. He sent pictures during her stay and even took her for a walk, which I really appreciated. I would definitely use Scott again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Jasmine took time to do a meet and greet before we did our day of daycare. Jasmine showed calm and approachable demeanor to our dogs. Our Chihuahua had never been cared for by a sitter before and she even won him over. We love that she only takes dogs from the same home at one time for our little stress case.
Very responsive and was able to accommodate on short notice. Bonnie seemed to enjoy snuggling on all the soft blankies and dog beds there too! Came home happy and healthy, I got lots of photos and updates. Bonnie probably appreciated being the only dog there too haha.

Vicki is AMAZING. She was recommended by a neighbor who took their dog to her years ago. She spent a lot of time meeting Frannie (and us), asking lots of thoughtful questions and really "reading" our pup. Frannie comes home from doggie daycare at Vicki's happy, exhausted, and better trained than when we dropped her off lol! Highly recommend Vicki's care for your dog.

Ryan provided EXCEPTIONAL care for my dog, Sodus. Not only was Ryan flexible to care for Sodus from the early morning to late evening given my long nursing shifts, but when I notified Ryan that my dog was having GI issues the night before he was meant to sit for him, Ryan was so graciously still willing to watch my sick boy. Any dog owner knows how stressful it can be to have a dog who has diarrhea/vomiting - giving bland diet, all the meds, letting out frequently, cleaning up sick… and the fact that Ryan was so dependable that he was willing to help watch my boy during this time speaks volumes to his commitment to his clients and his love for dogs. I will absolutely be using Ryan again for my pet care needs and would recommend him 10 times over. Thanks again Ryan!

She took such great care of my pup for the day on short notice. Her dog is such a sweet gentle soul and got along great with mine. They all had a nice time in her big backyard to run around, she gave my pup love and treats - I’m sure he was very happy with the whole experience. :) Thanks so much!!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Shoreline commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
