“Kendra is a wonderful sitter!! She’s always on time, communicative and spends quality time with our dog. We feel he’s in great hands whenever we leave for a trip out of town.”

About: I have been pet sitting and dog walking for 20 years! I have experience administering medication. I absolutely love dogs and would love to meet yours and give them love! I have plenty of time to take your dog on long walks and spend time playing with them! I have a lot of availability during the work day, especially after 1:30pm, though often available all day. My dog, Milo, has a yard to play in and typically gets two long walks a day and we are working on short runs (3 miles or less) together and this is how I will take care of your dog!

About: Friends and family have trusted me to take care of their dogs and cats for ten years. I am experienced in caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including giving medications, dog walking, check ins, and overnight stays. I am also a proud owner of my own dog and fish! I am a teacher who is currently on summer break, so I have a lot of flexibility right now. My schedule is extremely flexible, so I am almost always likely to find a schedule that will work for you and your pets! I read and follow instructions carefully and never do anything that you wouldn’t want me to do. Safety and security are important to me, I ensure your property and pets are always well respected and loved!
“My cats obviously loved Gargi! My semi-feral, shy Jasper hides from EVERYone, but not from Gargi! She may be the only other person who can pet him. It’s so important to have someone the cats like and trust. I hope Gargi will be available every time I travel.”

“Deyaneira was great with my dogs during the drop-in visit. Even my small, reactive, dog felt comfortable with Deyaneira right away. Both dogs enjoyed the visit and I hope to book with her again soon!”

About: Hi, I'm Vi! As a lifelong animal lover and pet owner (my cat, Jackson, practically runs my home!), I know that pets aren’t just animals; they’re family. I grew up with dogs of all shapes and sizes, from spunky Dachshunds to energetic Boxers, so I'm very comfortable navigating different personalities, energy levels, and quirks. Leaving your pet with someone new takes trust, and my goal is to give you total peace of mind while keeping your furry friends safe, happy, and comfortable. Whether your dog needs an energetic neighborhood walk to burn off steam, or your cat needs quiet, gentle companionship and routine care while you’re out, I tailor my approach to whatever makes your pet feel most secure. What You Can Expect: Reliable Communication: You will get regular photo updates and brief notes with every walk or drop-in, so you always know your pet is safe and sound. Attention to Detail: Outside of pet sitting, I work as a photographer, which gives me a sharp eye for detail, environment, and keeping things organized during every visit. Tailored & Flexible Care: Every animal has their own personality and routine. I take time to follow your exact care instructions, stick to feeding schedules, and respect their comfort zones. Services Offered: Dog Walking: From brisk, structured walks to gentle strolls depending on your dog’s age, energy, and preference. Drop-In Visits: Feeding, fresh water, litter box maintenance, playtime, and dedicated attention in the comfort of their home. House Sitting: Overnight care so your pets can stick to their familiar routine in their own environment. Feel free to reach out with any questions or send a booking request. I can't wait to meet your pets! I currently have a completely open schedule, giving me total flexibility for both last-minute requests and planned bookings. Whether your pet needs an early morning walk, mid-day drop-in, or evening care, my open availability makes it easy to step in whenever you need help. Growing up with breeds ranging from Dachshunds to Boxers taught me how to handle different temperaments, leash behaviors, and energy levels safely. Outside of pet sitting, I work as a photographer, so I naturally have a sharp eye for detail and environment. I strictly follow your care instructions, keep entryways secure, and make sure your home and pets stay safe at all times.

“My cats love Jeanne - she knows what kind of scritches and treats they love. She goes above and beyond, like letting me know if the litter is getting low. She’s the cat’s meow!”

“Lindsey was great with our 2 cats! She came over 2x a day to feed, let and deliver insulin shots to one of our cats. She was on time and sent great photos. We will definitely look to Lindsey first next time we go out of town!”

About: My pets aren’t just animals, they’re my babies. I consider myself a pet parent rather than simply a pet owner, and that’s exactly how I’ll care for yours. I know how hard it can be to trust someone with a member of your family, so I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or just having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe, and loved until you’re home again. Pet care is already a part of my everyday life. I care for my two dogs and cat daily, so adding your pet to my routine feels natural. I work part-time, which gives me flexibility to provide walks, playtime, potty breaks, feeding, companionship, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I know every pet is different, so I’ll follow your care instructions exactly to help maintain their routine and reduce stress. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. As a pet parent, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else. I don’t consider my pets “just pets”—they’re my babies, and I’ll treat yours with the same love, patience, and respect. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Also, I want to keep this option available. My home is clean, calm, and pet-friendly. My dogs are friendly and well-socialized, and I always supervise introductions to make sure everyone is comfortable. If your pet needs their own space, I’m happy to separate pets or crate them if that’s part of their normal routine.
About: While most of my experience is with cats, I love all animals and am open to caring for dogs too. I’m gentle, responsible, and a quick learner. I’m happy to follow your pup’s routine and give them the attention they deserve. I treat every pet like family—with care, patience, and respect. I’m a college student with a flexible schedule and lots of availability. I’m open every day from Sunday to Sunday, and I’m happy to adjust to your pet’s needs. Whether it’s daytime care or overnight stays, I’ve got you covered. I live in a clean, quiet apartment with two calm, fully vaccinated cats. I keep my space tidy, safe, and peaceful perfect for pets who need extra comfort or medical care. I’m very attentive and experienced with shy or sensitive animals.
“I can’t recommend Abby highly enough! She took care of my cat in the past, and she was incredibly caring, responsible, and trustworthy and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in her care. My older cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to travel again because of his medical needs. He requires medication, so leaving him behind was a huge source of anxiety for me. He is also very shy and tends to hide from people, so I was especially worried about how he would react to someone else caring for him. Abby was so patient and gentle with him, and he really made significant progress with her. She was able to gain his trust enough to handle him and give him his medication, which was a huge relief for me. Managing a diabetic cat takes extra care and attention and Abby handled everything so well. If anything seemed off with him, she immediately notified me, stayed calm, and worked through the situation and even offered to come check on him again later in the evening to make sure he was okay. Knowing she was so attentive and willing to go the extra mile gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to actually enjoy my trip without constantly worrying. She also took wonderful care of my kitten and gave her much needed extra playtime and attention, which I really appreciated. My kitten loved Abby’s visits and it was so nice knowing both of my cats were getting the individual care and attention they needed. She sent me daily detailed and hilarious updates with pictures and videos, which I absolutely loved. The updates made me feel connected to my cats while I was away and gave me plenty of laughs along the way. Abby truly goes above and beyond, and it’s clear that she genuinely loves animals. I’m so grateful to have someone I can trust with my cats. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful, compassionate pet sitter, and I will definitely be rebooking with her again.”

“Thank you so SO much for taking such good care of the kitties while I was away and for even taking time out of your own holiday weekend to check in on them!! We're so lucky to have your help🤗”

They are my world! I have had previous disabled/ elderly cats with specific diet, and am confident in my ability to treat your pets as if they were my own. I have lots of flexibility as I am a substitute teacher and get to pick the days I work. This also allows me lots of weekend time! “We 100% recommend Theresa. She is punctual, reliable, and wonderful with our dogs. They adore her and are always excited for their visit. Definitely will book again! Thank you ☺️”

About: I’ve had a range of pets from turtles, cats, dogs to hamsters. I absolutely love furry friends and because I travel often I want to help within my community the best I can. I love spoiling doggos and because right now I don’t have the space to own one myself, I have so much love to share with the furry ones. Dogs, cats and reptiles! You name it, I can help with! I’m currently working part-time as a SUBSTITUTE teacher during the summer, but I would love to find families or people who need an extra hand with doggy care. Weekends are more open, but I have a flexible schedule. I have a car with backseat covers so that your dog can safely be transported to go on wax just about anywhere. And I think dogs feel the most comfortable in their own home so whether the service is in Home or out of home, I will treat your dog with the best care and support them to feel the most happy while with me.

Tanja has taken care of my cat several times and has always been reliable and helpful. Bella is not very friendly toward non-family members but Tanja has worked to get her to relax a little bit (cat does not run and hide, but does complain). I appreciate the excellent care Tanja provides.

Qian is the best! She was able to come last-minute (basically same-day notice) to check on and hang out with my cat, Mosey, who immediately liked her despite never having met her. Mosey loves attention, and Qian sent lots of pictures and videos of Mosey getting scratches, playtime, and love. I am so grateful and relieved that Qian was able to check on Mosey and give me lots of updates on how she was doing. She clearly is a very trust-worthy catsitter and good person, and I look forward to booking with her again! (Next time planned in advance 😄)

Nancy was wonderful! Our shy boy didn’t quite come out to play, but she was so patient and caring with him. She arrived consistently at the scheduled times each day, and we really appreciated the reliable updates and care. She was also so sweet and even left Buckley a little toy, a thoughtful touch that meant so much! We would absolutely recommend Nancy and would love to have her care for Buckley again! 🐾💕

Elaina was wonderful. She cared for my kitty. She went out of her way to come and befriend my cat, Meghan. She made sure I knew how Meghan was doing. I was able to enjoy my art workshop and not worry about my kitty. I definitely would use her to cat sit my baby.

Joyce is the BEST! She really put in extra effort to make our shy kitties feel comfortable while we were away for the weekend. She is a total cat whisperer! She also wrote super detailed and sweet reports about how they were doing. We would be thrilled to have her back!

I just recently adopted Latte, so was unsure how she'd react to me being gone and to a pet sitter. Kali was great with her and they became fast friends with Kali giving her lots of pets. I received updates and cute pictures, making me feel relaxed knowing Latte was in good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shoreline. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
