“My cats obviously loved Gargi! My semi-feral, shy Jasper hides from EVERYone, but not from Gargi! She may be the only other person who can pet him. It’s so important to have someone the cats like and trust. I hope Gargi will be available every time I travel.”

“We are so grateful Courtney was able to take care of our two cats again. In addition to all of the great care, she also takes the most amazing photos! It is so fun to see them and get updates when we are missing the cats. Thanks Courtney!”

About: I have had animals my entire life, including cats, chickens, hamsters, rabbits, and guinea pigs, and I have loved every single one of them! I absolutely adore dogs, and have spent a lot of time helping care for my friends', neighbors', family friends', and client's dogs. I have experience in walking (including dogs who love to pull), pet sitting, caring for animals with medical needs, and even some occasional trick training, and I would love to help care for your pet! After July my schedule will be quite flexible, meaning I will have plenty of time to care for your pet! I understand that any pet needs plenty of attention, and am willing to accommodate and adjust my day to make sure I am providing the best care for your best friend. I take being trusted with somebody's pet quite seriously, and will do my absolute best to provide the best care possible. I have experience with pets with more special needs, and so am equipped to adjust to your pet's unique requirements: be that a different feeding schedule, oral medication, or otherwise!
“Lindsey was great! It was my first time using Rover - she did a couple of drop-in visits for my shy kitty over the holiday weekend and was very communicative during the process, sending lots of pictures and updates. My cat was content when I came home and I'm grateful Lindsey was able to check in on her while I was away.”

“Kendra was great! Highly recommend. She took great care of our two dogs. She was prompt and I could tell from the pictures the dogs enjoyed her company. Thanks Kendra!”

“Olivia was excellent in her promptness, communication and completion of care for my pack! Also her high level of responsibility to engage and respond during unexpected situations (which sometimes come up unexpectedly in pet-care!) was very appreciated. I highly recommend requesting Olivia’s services to care for your pack!”

“Abigail is the BEST! She took amazing care of my cat, Oliver, while I was away. Her loving attention and thoughtful care went above and beyond. I especially appreciated her detailed (and hilarious) updates as they gave me much needed peace of mind while I was gone. It means the world to know that Oliver is not only safe, but also loved and understood, especially since he’s such a shy boy. She was reliable, warm, and completely understanding of his needs. I’m so grateful to have found her, and I’ll definitely be rebooking with her for my next trip.”

About: I've loved animals all my life. I had two dogs growing up, and have been a loving cat parent since 1999. In recent years, I have pet/house sat for my neighbors who have gone on vacation, looking after 2 dogs, 3 cats and sometimes fish, and chickens. I have also worked on a friend's home run animal sanctuary, feeding numerous cats, filling bird feeders and feeding local wild animals such as squirrels. These two parties trust me implicitly and would be happy to provide references as required. I work part time from home in an unrelated capacity so I have a lot of flexibility. Since I have two cats of my own, boarding is not an option but I would be more than happy to either stay at your place or drop in as needed, provided it is not too far away. As I mentioned, I have two cats at home, so I would not be able to board animals in my home. Thank you very much.
“We 100% recommend Theresa. She is punctual, reliable, and wonderful with our dogs. They adore her and are always excited for their visit. Definitely will book again! Thank you ☺️”

“She did everything as requested, left great reports after visits, and handled some situations that needed troubleshooting well! I felt she kept my cats and house safe and secure! Would definitely hire again.”

About: 2025 was a year I’m very grateful for. 🙌🏽 Through Rover and the families who trusted me, I cared for 108 dogs, many of them more than once. 31 families came back, which matters more to me than any number — when people return, it means things felt right. Most of my experience is with medium and large dogs. Dogs that benefit from longer walks, clear structure, and someone who doesn’t rush. 📍 Over the year, I walked around 213 miles, always prioritizing consistency and calm. I work mainly in North Seattle, including Green Lake, Ballard, Fremont, Lake City, and Broadview. Care always happens in the dog’s own home, respecting their space and routine. I follow what the dog already knows and keep things simple. During the week, I have a flexible part-time commitment around midday (usually between 12 and 5 p.m.), which is always discussed clearly in advance and can be adjusted if a dog needs extra attention. Looking ahead to 2026, my plan is simple: keep doing this well and continue working with families who value consistency and long-term trust. 🐶 If you’re new to Rover, you can use my discount code to get $20 off your first booking: 👉🏼 https://www.rover.com/sit/daviee75398 What matters most is that your dog — and your home — are well cared for. Clear communication and documented routines are part of every booking. Paw Davied Care takes place in your dog’s own home as part of a normal, real-life routine. I have a regular part-time commitment in the afternoons, usually between 12 and 5. During that time, which is always discussed clearly in advance and can be adjusted if a dog needs extra attention. Outside of that window, I’m fully present — mornings, evenings, overnight care, and structured walks when needed. Care always happens in your dog’s own home, not in mine or in a shared setting. I keep things simple and familiar respecting the home, following clear routines, and maintaining a calm environment so dogs can settle easily and feel comfortable. 🐾
“Thank you so SO much for taking such good care of the kitties while I was away and for even taking time out of your own holiday weekend to check in on them!! We're so lucky to have your help🤗”

“Excellent caregiver to our two kitties — knowledgeable, trustworthy, friendly. Really appreciate the detailed updates and photos each day too. Highly recommend Kimberly to anyone looking for a cat sitter!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Shoreline
Jeanne took great care of our three cats. She was always quick to leave a Rover Card after her service visits, which consisted of a few sentences to update us and very cute pictures of our kitties. It allowed us to relax and truly enjoy our extended weekend trip, instead of wondering how our fur babies were doing. We also see that the kitties enjoyed her company and were not stressed when we got back home. Thanks, Jeanne!

Elaina did an amazing job watching our cats while we were out of town. She did a great job communicating with us leading up to and during our vacation and was super responsive. Elaina is detail oriented and went above and beyond our expectations. Most important, she was great with our cats! We will definitely reach out to Elaina the next time we are planning to be out of town.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shoreline. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
