“Hattie has been such a wonderful dog sitter! She arrives promptly on time and is an expert at medication management with a fickle dog. I know my dogs are in good hands with Hattie.”

“Lauren was great. My cat Westley is an escape artist. He is sneaky and fast, but Lauren was ahead of his mischievous plans. He doesn't purr for everyone, but he was happy to see her every visit and purred very loudly.”

“Eric took an excellent care of our cats. We found both of them relaxed and calm. I really enjoyed all the updates and pictures which Eric sent me. I will definitely ask for his help in the future!”

“Amy was awesome! She had clear communication before, during and after the visit. Our dogs adored her and she made our first Rover experience so smooth (& calm). Thank you for taking such good care of our furbabies!”

“Elaina is fantastic! She recently took care of our dogs, Cosmo and Comet, and did an amazing job. She's reliable, caring, and great with communication. Cosmo and Comet loved her. Five stars!”

“My cats obviously loved Gargi! My semi-feral, shy Jasper hides from EVERYone, but not from Gargi! She may be the only other person who can pet him. It’s so important to have someone the cats like and trust. I hope Gargi will be available every time I travel.”

“Kendra is a wonderful sitter!! She’s always on time, communicative and spends quality time with our dog. We feel he’s in great hands whenever we leave for a trip out of town.”

“Anna has been so wonderful helping me out on a few of my longer days I’ve had come up while raising my lil puppy! Anna has been so nice, professional and caring with my pup, and super responsive. Couldn’t have found a better person!”

“I highly recommend Dylan for any type of pet care! I was nervous to hire someone since this was my first time entrusting my cat and his medication with someone new but Dylan was extremely communicative, kind, and willing to take on inhaler treatments. My shy cat was also very comfortable hanging out with his new friend. Will definitely hire Dylan again in the future. Thank you!”

“Tiffany did a great job with three check-in visits with my two pet rabbits while I was gone for the week. It’s nice to see that my shy rabbits want to come out and see you! Thank you for communicating and sending helpful photos! I appreciate you following the extra requests I added and for filling out my checklist! We look forward to your help again!”

“Saint was great with Zoey when we needed a few drop-in visits while I had a busy work week and my partner was out of town. The pictures and frequent updates made us feel like we were there with them, and we know Zoey appreciated making a new friend to play fetch with. Saint communicated well with us throughout the entire process and made our first Rover experience a success. Will not hesitate to have him help take care of Zoey again.”

“I’ve had my dog for 3 weeks, he has vision issues and is hesitant of new people. Emma’s calm and warm personality and style enabled my dog to feel safe and relaxed within minutes of the meet and greet. She is top of my list to drop in with my dog. She also brought in an Amazon delivery box. Wonderful experience, highly recommend Emma!!”

“Venessa was absolutely wonderful with Pepper! From the moment we met her, she was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure Pepper was comfortable and well taken care of while we were away. She followed all of our care instructions carefully, kept everything clean, and gave us so much peace of mind throughout the weekend. It’s clear she has a real love for animals, and Pepper was in great hands. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for cat, and we truly appreciated the communication and reliability the entire time. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate Rover sitter!”

Sara is the absolute best with our kitty! I can tell how happy he is to see her and it brings me so much comfort to know she’s looking after our little guy. ❤️ She gives him wonderful playtime and I can tell it really gets all his energy out—especially all the wand jumping! 😄 The little scavenger hunts are so fun and creative, and such a thoughtful thing to leave for him to give extra stimulation. I couldn’t recommend someone more! 🥰

Melanie is amazing!! We felt much better being away knowing our cats were being checked in by her. She was SO communicative, sent great photos, and you can tell she really does care for your animals! Glad we have her to watch our cats! You can’t go wrong booking with her.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edmonds. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
