Availability
Upcoming partial unavailability: April 4th, evening; April 10th, evening. Mornings are still open! :) I am currently working a part-time position that often has me working until 7:45pm. I am generally free between 8am and 12pm to give walks or feed breakfast, and can drop in around 8pm after work, if two visits are needed. I always do my best to be as flexible as I can to meet your needs as a pet parents, so my availability is never fully set in stone and we can usually find a time that work for both of us!

About Emma R.
Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
When caring for animals in their own home, I always do my best to keep to their normal schedule as much as possible. I love loving on pets and want to offer my companionship to them when their owner is away. I strive for punctuality and am only ever late or held up due to something outside of my control (e.g. emergencies, illness, work-related issues).
Information Emma R. would like to know about your pet
I'd like to know the dog's size and energy level before showing up to the house. I've had enough experience with pets to be able to handle pretty much anything, but sometimes an unexpected rambunctious pet can be a little startling. Also, a brief list of what sort of attention/care the dog usually receives will help me better care for your pet and insure a good time with them!
A typical day
I love engaging with the pets that I care for in activities that they love. I always like knowing what their favorite toy or treats are so that when I drop by to visit, I know how to make them happy! A typical visit involves lots of cuddles and verbal interaction, or, if your pet is a little more on the skiddish side, I typically try to spend time in the same room as them and talk softly so that they can warm up to me at their own pace.

Pet care experience
I've taken care of pets all my life. Growing up, we had a dog and four cats--the cats being my responsibility to feed, water, and clean up after and the dog a wonderful companion to play with! In my teen years, I was one of the main care takers while we had two adorable chocolate lab puppies roaming around the house. Aside from the pets that I've owned, I've cared for various friends' and family's pets during trips and work. I have now been a pet sitter on Rover for over 3 years, working and playing with a great many dogs, cats, ane even rabbits! Each one has taught me something valuable, making me a more knowledgeable and capable caregiver each drop-in visit.

Reviews

Emma was a great sitter for our 3 cat babies. She was always quick to respond, left the place very clean, and gave them plenty of attention. Some of our cats can be slow to warm up to humans, but that wasn't the case with Emma (they seemed pretty comfortable around her and didn't hide right away). She also took care of our house plants. Would recommend Emma to anyone.

Emma is fantastic - kind, professional and reliable. Our go-to for help with our cat!

Emma was very responsive and sweet with my kitty! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good pet sitter!

Emma is so kind, reliable, and thorough, and has been great about communication. I would recommend her to anyone and definitely would book her again to look after my baby boy (my sweet older cat)!
