“Such a delight to have Amy take care of my two cats! She connected with my 2 shy cats so quickly and easily and went above and beyond in taking care of the cats/my home while I was out of town. Thanks so much Amy!”

“Xiuqi is awesome! She was able to follow all instructions will no issues 😊 Very quick at communicating and even did a last minute second check on my dog! So appreciative of her help!”

“Our boy likes e time he spends with John. We're trying to train him to be home alone. He liked going to John's house and also John died up on time with home visits. He actually staff s full half hour we get great pictures too. You're our guy??”

“Deya is very communicative and sends lots of photos so I know my baby is doing good. Stella had a great time playing with her! Also great flexible schedule managed to fit us in in a pinch!”

“Saint *saved the day* by accepting my day-of request to stop in two times for my three dogs. I had never hired anyone to watch my dogs so I was nervous, but Saint let me call and text out all my requests and concerns and he handled it professionally + with care! I will definitely be hiring him again!”

“Lynlee is the best! She’s super sweet, respectful, the pups love her and she’s a quick responder. This was my first Rover experience and it was super positive. We’ll absolutely be hiring her again!!”

“Zachary did really well with our 3 cats while we were gone for 6 days for our destination wedding. It was our first time leaving the cats with someone other than a family member, so I naturally was worried. However, Zachary did really well with feeding them, sending me photos, cleaning the litter box, watering my plants, and feeding my fish. He was even helpful by cleaning up the plant that my cat knocked over. Overall, Zachary is respectful, polite, and always on time. I recommend him to watch your pets.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. Currently own two huskies who I walk and let play regularly. Would be happy to have yours tag along with us. I am a teacher so weekdays are no longer available for me, but weekends are open! Typically I’m home by 6 on Fridays and will be able to house sit, board, walk, ect. for the remainder of the weekend. I have two dogs who would love to play with your pup. They are in a completely fenced back yard with a dog door that they are able to get in and out of the house as they please. Also have crates/dog gate in house if needed for dogs who may need to be separated.
“Shannon is great, very easy to work with and she took great care Mylo while I was out of town. I very much appreciate her help. I would definitely recommend her, but the only issue is if you book her you might take time away when I need her again. 🤔 Just kidding book her if you need her help! 😂”

“This is our second time with Mohamed. Wow, he’s the absolute best! He’s so sweet and plays with our kitties. He’s comfortable with our cat that needs insulin shots. And he goes above and beyond to ensure that their space is clean and tidy. He even dropped the full bag of cat waste in the trash bin outside. Also, he was able to trouble shoot our door that malfunctioned. Highly highly recommend him! Will be requesting him again and again!”

“Bevan was so wonderful with piggy! She was very communicative, sent us photos and videos. We would definitely definitely recommend her to anybody, and hope to use her in the future!”

About: My family has two dogs, one Labrador (11 years old) and one mixed breed (12 years old), so I have extensive experience taking care of medium to large dogs. I can help out with your pets all day on weekends! For weekdays, I'm fully available between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM. This is the perfect time for me to stop by for drop-in feeding visits or take your dogs out for a nice walk after my day wraps up. Since I'll be coming to your place for walks and feeding, I always make sure your doors are locked tight and leashes are secure before we head out. I've handled plenty of cats and big dogs, so I know how to keep things safe, calm, and fun for them.
“Kaitlyn is phenomenal! We have an older, anxious kitty and she put her right at ease. She is professional, warm, and patient with her furry clientele. We appreciate her and look forward to booking with her in the future.”

“Tyler was awesome while taking care of our cat Sparty!! He was super communicative and we loved getting our daily photo updates from him! We will definitely be booking with Tyler again in the future!”

“Elaina did a fantastic job taking care of my cat Minnie while I was traveling. She sent detailed daily updates that were thoughtful and informative, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She also included photos every day, which I really appreciated. Minnie can be a little shy at first, and Elaina clearly took the time to be patient and earn her trust rather than rushing the process. That meant a lot to me. Communication was always easy and responsive throughout the entire stay. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter.”

“Kiki and her husband took amazing care of our 2 elderly dogs and 2 cats. They are loving and very responsible and sent daily photos and videos. I highly recommend for anyone with fur babies!”

About: I have worked with both baby and senior animals so I know the ways of navigating not only their needs but personalities. I own a cat but he enjoys being in the room so your pet will get the whole living room to explore and relax in. I live on the bottom floor so if your pet has trouble going up and down stairs that should be no problem I am a barista so I work at 4-11AM and my significant other works at 7AM so if their staying over night they would only be alone for 4 hours but I’m available everyday after 11am 4 days a week I’m also willing to compromise and change my work hours I’m very good at following directions so whatever you need me to do for your pet I will do my very best to make sure all needs and wants are met will also give lots of updates and photos if requested
“Heather was very professional. She took excellent care of our cats and household. She wrangled our packages without being asked and went above and beyond on a second later delivery.”

Elaina did an amazing job watching our cats while we were out of town. She did a great job communicating with us leading up to and during our vacation and was super responsive. Elaina is detail oriented and went above and beyond our expectations. Most important, she was great with our cats! We will definitely reach out to Elaina the next time we are planning to be out of town.

Peng is extremely punctual and settled with our shy babies pretty well to the point one would always follow her around the house. Her daily updates and photos helped us keep assured of the well being. She was very prompt in setting up a meet and greet and sharing her focus on care and safety. Would definitely have her for future visits.
As always, Alyssa provides excellent care and attention to our kitties. I feel so reassured and comfortable knowing that Tuya and Beans are in her capable hands. The reports and photos are detailed and descriptive. Will continue to have her care for our little guys, again and again!

All I can say about Xiuqi is that she is amazing. She took care of my kitties like they were her own. She was always on time and went above and beyond to take care of them. Though I had special request she took care of my concerns right away. She is a great communicator as well. Would recommend her with no hesitation.

As always, Emma made me feel so calm and secure that my fur babies would be well taken care of! One of my cats is not so friendly and has a lot of anxiety around new people. Emma showed so much love and respect for her when others have written her off as a mean cat. Emma makes it a mission to get in Frankie’s good graces 🥰 she also spent lots of quality time with my rambunctious kitten! We love Emma and can’t wait for her to cat sit on my next trip!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alderwood Manor. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
