“I would happily recommend Alexandra to anyone! She was so easy to work with, very communicative, timely and reliable. We have a 65 pound Staffy who is high energy (our last dog walker quit cuz she was "to much" for him) and Alexandra was able to work with us and handle her wonderfully! We will continue working with her in the future anytime we need someone to watch our pup. 😊”

“Kaitlyn was amazing with my senior dog, Coco! She was always on time (often early) for the drop-in visits and sent detailed updates each time. I’ll definitely be booking Kaitlyn again for future drop-ins or overnight stays!”

“Nathan did a great job caring for our special needs dog. He was careful to follow instructions and was very communicative. We will not hesitate to use Nathan for services in the future.”

“Sherri was such a blessing to have for our senior pup. He warmed up to her right away and enjoyed her company through a week of check-ins. We could not be happier in our choice to have Sherri as our sitter and would have her again in a moments notice. She was prompt, professional, easy to work with, and most importantly she loved on our dog like he was her own. Cannot say enough good things about her!”

“This was Cedric's second time sitting for us and already my spicy/shy girl has taken to him. Cedric is reliable, kind, and dependable. I forgot to remind him to leave our key fob, but he remembered the drill! I definitely recommend Cedric if you are looking for a fantastic pet sitter.”

“Heather was great. She came to our home to meet us a few days prior to our trip and we immediately felt more at ease trusting her to look after our cats. She sent us an update with pictures, every day. When we got home, we were happy not to find any surprises or messes and to see that she kept everything nice and tidy. The used food dishes were rinsed off and in the dishwasher and she even brought our garbage cans in from the street. I highly recommend Heather and definitely plan to use her services again in the future.”

“Jeanie exceeded my expectations as a sitter for our senior cat. She dropped in reliably on the schedule, took care of food and water, as well as a few special requests I had for the house (e.g. bringing packages, turning on the garden water). She even handled a couple of accidents our cat had while we were gone. I really appreciated her care and consideration for our cat, especially during the recent heat wave. I felt like she went above and beyond, and I hope to book her again in the future!”

“Penny is such an amazing, warm person and we are so thrilled to have worked with her! 10/10 will be working with Penny again. Our 19 yr old man cat that just wants to be left alone was cuddling with her within a day...he doesn't do that with anyone! She followed our detailed walk through conversation notes to the T which are pretty high maintenance for such an old cat, and even watered my husband's new trees he was all panicked about while we were out of town. She asked very thoughtful questions before our departure and while we were out of town. We received lots of pictures and good updates so we knew he was doing well and in good hands. Thank you Penny!”

“Deya is very communicative and sends lots of photos so I know my baby is doing good. Stella had a great time playing with her! Also great flexible schedule managed to fit us in in a pinch!”

“Tony is amazing. I am usually not home when she visits our dog, but the few times I have been I see how my dog's face lights up when she comes to the door. She sends me pics and let's me know how my dog is doing every day, and I am so thankful that she takes such great care of my girl. I know she cares for her like her own. ”

“What a sweet lady! Thanks Joan for taking such great care of my 4 fur babies- thank you for being on time, attentive, loving, patient, consistent with your updates so I am abreast of what goes on, and for being such a great pet whisperer. All my animals love you and I can’t highly recommend you enough. We’ll definitely ask for you the next time we need a pet sitter!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Paine Field-Lake Stickney
I left Cedric lots of detailed instructions (I’m crazy lol). I was anxious because my kitty isn’t very used to other people, so I was pretty stressed. He followed all of my instructions and reassured me every time I asked him something. By the final days, my cat started showing his personality, playing, and asking Cedric for love and pets. I’m very happy I found him and will definitely be using his services again. He even brought a package inside when I asked and cleaned around my cat’s automatic litter box. I really appreciate the care he gave my kitty.

Heather was so professional and took wonderful care of my two boys! We had last minute plans come up and she was so flexible setting up a quick meet and greet with us and committing to watch our two kitties. She was very responsive, checked on things for me in the house to ease my anxious brain while away, and sent us adorable pictures of the kitties getting love and playtime. Highly recommend!

We have used Emily twice now for our kitties. This last time we were gone for a full 8 days. Emily went above and beyond, vacuuming just before our return so the litter tracking was completely cleaned up and it was so nice to come home to a fresh house. She took great care with the cats, one of which has a special diet and required a bit of patience while he eats. Highly recommend!

We knew Allison was the right sitter for us when none of our cats ran away from her during the meet-and-greet. She is definitely a cat whisperer and our four cats loved playing and snuggling with her. She sent us awesome pictures and videos while we were away, giving us peace of mind that they were being well cared for. Allison was always responsive to our communication and left our house neat and tidy. We will definitely book her for future trips!
As always, Alyssa provides excellent care and attention to our kitties. I feel so reassured and comfortable knowing that Tuya and Beans are in her capable hands. The reports and photos are detailed and descriptive. Will continue to have her care for our little guys, again and again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
