“Zachariah was a pleasure to work with. Our two doggies instantly loved him! He has a kind demeanor and is a great communicator. We hired him for a 4 day stay over and he was responsible, respectful and clean. He sent us photos of our doggies every day and reached out when he had questions. We will be hiring him again in the future.”

“Nathan housesat for my 3 Labs recently while I was away for a few days. I was so please with his attentive care of my dogs. I really appreciated how he kept in touch with me almost daily both sending pictures of their walks and letting me know that they all were doing great. My 2 year old Lab developed an eye infection just prior to my trip and so need eye drops and Nathan did an awesome job making sure she got her drops daily for the amount of time prescribed by her Vet. My dogs seemed happy and content when I returned from my trip which for me is a testament to what a great job he did. About: Hi! I'm Courtney, and if there's an animal nearby, there's a pretty good chance I'm saying hello to them before the humans. I grew up as the daughter of a professional dog trainer, so understanding dog behavior has always been second nature to me. I learned early that every dog communicates differently, and that patience, consistency, and a little positive reinforcement can go a long way. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. At home, I'm kept on my toes by my corgi, Xena, and my two cats, Gizmo and Tofu. Living with a dog and cats who all have wildly different personalities has taught me that every pet has their own quirks, routines, and love language—and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes each one unique. Whether your pet loves long walks, energetic playtime, quiet cuddles, or just having someone nearby who respects their space, I'm happy to meet them where they are. My goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away, so you can relax knowing they're being cared for like one of my own. I'll also make sure you never have to wonder how they're doing. Expect plenty of updates, photos, and maybe a funny story if your pup decides to zoom around the living room or your cat appoints me as their new personal assistant. I know how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member with someone else, and I don't take that lightly. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! I work full time Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, which makes me a great fit for evening walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and weekend care. I keep my schedule up to date and only accept bookings I know I can fully commit to, so your pet will always receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet's safety and comfort will always come first. I believe every animal deserves patience, kindness, and respect for their individual personality and routine. Growing up with a dog trainer taught me how to recognize body language, build trust, and create positive experiences without forcing interactions. I'm happy to follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, whether that means a favorite walking route, medication, feeding schedule, playtime, or plenty of cuddle breaks. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your furry family member is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.
“I've used Stephanie multiple times for overnight trips. She is AMAZING with our pets. She treats them very well. She also takes really good care of our house. When we came back, she had vacuumed and washed the sheets. It's nice to come home to a clean house. I will definitely continue to use her.”

“Mary and Olivia were just wonderful! They provided great updates/communication and it was such a blessing to go for an extended vacation and know our pups were comfortable at home in good hands. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone and will book them again!”

“Baylee was an incredible pet sitter for our 2 small dogs and 2 cats. She constantly provided photos of our pets throughout the day, was very communicative, and kept our house in pristine condition. It felt amazing to come home knowing our babies were so loved and that the house was so clean. I would definitely use her again in the future.”

“Always a pleasure having Carlynn stay at our home. She is respectful, communicative and takes great care of our fur babies. She even helped care for our small bird. She left our home clean and well cared for. We hope to book her again in the future!”

“Mayra is great! It was our first overnight trip without them and our dogs had a great time with her. We got lots of great pictures during her stay. Mayra is a lovely person and we would use her again!”

Shoutout to Meaghan for taking excellent care of our two dogs and house! We just arrived home from a five day trip dogs were happy and very well cared for and our house was spotless! I highly recommend Meaghan we will definitely be using her in the future. Thank you much appreciated! Richard & Janet

Rowena continues to be our favorite sitter! Our kitty has special needs - pills every night and an inhaler twice a day. We always know she is well taken care of when she is in Rowenas care. She recently stayed at our house for over 2 weeks while we were on our honeymoon. Rowena takes great care of our house too - even watered my plants. So grateful we have found her and will continue to use her whenever she is available!
Arielle helped us out during an emergency when our other sitter cancelled and took over our dog's care. She was communicative, responsive, and respectful of the house. Our dog was so content and well socialized during his time with Arielle. Already have her booked for house sitting again.

Erica did a great job house sitting for our two dogs and rabbit while we were away for the weekend. We were so happy to find someone who could stay at the house with them all day. We really appreciated how clean the house was when we returned and could tell our dogs were relaxed and well taken care of while we were out. Erica kept in touch and shared pictures of our dogs with us every day like we’d requested and I was confident and calm knowing they were being well cared for. I would happily hire her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a house sitter.

Alyssa is spectacular. She took such great care of our dogs and they loved her. We loved the updates she sent and she was very communicative the entire time we were gone. Our house was pristine when we came home and she did lots of little extras we didn’t expect but really appreciated. Highly recommend!

Noelle was so good with my elderly cat who had all sorts of health issues while she was taking care of her, on top of being diabetic and needing insulin. I tend to be very anxious about leaving my cat and Noelle’s competent and direct demeanor really put me at ease while I was traveling and far from home. My cat also doesn’t warm up to new people very fast but was sleeping with Noelle on the first night and demanding all the pets. It was such a relief knowing she was well cared for. I’m so glad I found Noelle and would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Nuora had watched Woody several times for us and always provides excellent care. This time, she had to navigate a health scare for him while we were away and did so with amazing compassion, communication, and response. We are so grateful to you Nuora, for how you navigated this challenging experience with us and making sure Woodward got the best of care. <3

Yolimar was a wonderful pet sitter. It was very last minute that we needed someone and she was able to accommodate us. She gave frequent updates letting us know how our puppy was doing. She took very good care of our little miss. So much so, that when we got home and she said her hellos to us, she went looking for Yolimar. She was spoiled. Five stars.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Paine Field-Lake Stickney walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Paine Field-Lake Stickney maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paine Field-Lake Stickney choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
