I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember and was glued to animal planet as a child. I grew up dogs and cats, and eventually became an avid equestrian as well. I never lost this passion and received a bachelor's in biology with an emphasis in zoology from the University of Central Florida. Outside of academia, I have worked as a stable hand, a riding instructor for beginner and intermediate riders, a large dog daycare attendant, and a shift lead at a pet resort. All of these positions required attention to detail, an understanding of animal behavior across a plethora of species, and a willingness to get down and dirty to keep everyone happy and healthy. After taking a break from Rover while living outside of the continental US, I am looking forward to being able to care for animals once more.

Currently I don't have a fur baby, which is a big reason why I became involved with Rover. I cherish time spent with all animals, and aim to give them the most positive experience I can. To ensure consistency, I like to speak with owners to understand what boundaries and expectations they set for their pet and myself, as well as any quirks or health issues so there are no surprises. I want to know what training style you have utilized, or what is the biggest reward to them for a job well done.

Alyssa is spectacular. She took such great care of our dogs and they loved her. We loved the updates she sent and she was very communicative the entire time we were gone. Our house was pristine when we came home and she did lots of little extras we didn’t expect but really appreciated. Highly recommend!

We had the absolute best experience with Alyssa! This was our first time using Rover, and leaving our babies, Scooby and Monty, with someone new was definitely not easy. But after speaking with Alyssa, we immediately felt at ease and knew they would be in great hands. Her attention to detail was truly above and beyond. Her daily check-ins were so thoughtful and thorough that we felt like we were right there at home with them, getting to experience all of their little quirks and personalities even while we were away. 🥹 We especially appreciated her experience caring for senior dogs. She was so attentive with our Scoobs and even shared helpful tips with us- her knowledge and genuine care for animals really showed. We feel beyond lucky to have found Alyssa and will absolutely be booking with her again. We couldn’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their fur babies! ❤️

Alyssa took such good care of all of our animals! They were so spoiled that I think they were sad to see us come home. She communicated very well and kept us informed with everything going on. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I currently have open availability on weekends, and before 3pm on weekdays unless I have booked with another client. My primary job is fully remote, so if your fuzzy best friend needs full time care/supervision for house sitting I can accommodate that request.

- If your dog has any medical conditions, sensitivities, allergies, or behavioral quirks please let me know! Every dog is unique and deserves care that caters to their individual needs. I am happy to work with you to accommodate them completely. If possible I would love to do a meet and greet first to ensure I would be a good fit for your fur baby. I like to get an idea of a normal routine for your pet to maximize their comfort and security while they are in my care.
