About: I am a fast communicator, reliable, and trustworthy. I dont have pets myself, but have always been around them regardless. Before i moved to washington i was a nanny, and the family’s i have watched usually had a dog that i would also watch and care for. I also have experience volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center in illinois called paws critter crossing. I fed, cleaned cages, and took care of fawns(deer) , kits(raccoons & Rabbits), joeys(opossums). It was a rewarding experience. I love being outside, i love nature walks, and i love connecting with new people on here and making friends:) I have a pretty open schedule & have a car to get there. Rover is my only job at the moment. I am willing to dedicate my time to your pet, as it is my passion:) I can help give your dog its medication, pills, cream, or sprays if needed. I can also work with your dogs weakness’s & issues & am willing to tend to the animal as much as it needs. If your pet is weary and needs space i can see that, and can follow its signs it is showing
“Sarah was a total rock star with Chekhov and Kalinka. She helped troubleshoot all the automatic feeder nonsense that happened. I would have her back to take care of them every single time I go out of town!”

“Whitney was great watching our elderly dog and young cat while we were gone for a few days. She even had to deal with our dog having some stomach issues and cleaned it all up for us. She checked in and out with photos each visit and it really put us at ease that they were well cared for!”

“Isaac was reliable, communicative, and took great care of our two cats during their drop-in visits. I appreciated the updates he gave while we were away and would definitely book with him again in the future. Overall, great experience and highly recommend!”

“Kylie did a fabulous job on the drop in visit today, esp as one of our dogs decided to destroy a pillow! She let us know right away and fixed things. So appreciate the extra TLC today!!!”

“Mary did such a great job caring for my cat. She sent lots of updates with many pictures. She also helped us out by watering my plants and taking the garbage out. Your pets are definitely in good hands.”
About: I’ve dog sat and walked many different breeds of dogs for family and friends! I was also present during my own dogs training when he was a puppy. I have also looked after elderly dogs, so I have experience with all ages! I am currently not working because I am leaving late August for college, so my schedule is very open! I am willing to work with your schedule. I have safe dog toys, a medium size crate if needed, and a large backyard with a tall secure fence. Also, I strictly follow each pets routine and instructions if given. I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep owners updated with photos and messages.

About: Dog and cat owner for over 18 years. I also have had hermet crabs and an axolotl - love all animals! They all have a unique personality and it's so fun to get to know them. Just a girl who was not able to have animals as a child so I have an entire adulthood to make up for that surrounding myself with the best creatures out there - animals! We can learn so much as people from animals and showing how we care for animals reflects who we are. I currently am a mom at home with kids in school so I have availability during the day and am flexible for evenings as well. I have a dog, 2 cats and an axolotl. It's important animals feel safe with me so I let them take the lead and I engage with them when they show they are ready. I'm happy to do what you as the client feel comfortable with and need for your fur babies to feel safe and comfortable.
“Marysa was great! Took care of our two shy kitties and communicated everyday with updates. She followed the instructions we provided and paid attention to the details. We really appreciated her help and coming home to two happy kitties!”

About: I have tons of paid experience watching animals for friends and family. Including dogs of all sizes, cats, guinea pigs, and even chickens. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life. My love for animals has only grown as I’ve gotten older! I’m currently employed at a seasonal job at a baseball park, averaging only a handful of shifts a month. This allows me plenty of flexibility to take care of your pets! I am well equipped to care for your furry friends and respect your home! I have experience in house sitting and have lived with a dog/s my whole life. I am well accustomed to the care and attentiveness that goes into being in someone else’s house whilst pet sitting.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and working with pets has always been something I genuinely love. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels, including puppies who need extra patience, consistency, and attention. I’m also a proud pet owner myself with three French Bulldogs and two cats, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can fully trust with your pets. I focus on keeping pets comfortable, and stress-free by maintaining their routine through regular walks, playtime, companionship, and lots of affection. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs so they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. I’m currently finishing my final year of high school and looking forward to spending my summer caring for pets before heading off to college. My availability will be very open from early July through August, allowing me to provide flexible and reliable care. Until then, my availability during June is more limited, and I’ll generally be available after 3:00 PM on weekdays. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their environment as comfortable, familiar, and stress free as possible. I follow each pet’s normal routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications if needed, and any special instructions provided by the owner. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while also respecting their individual personalities and comfort levels. Safety and trust are very important to me, so I always keep a close eye on pets during walks and outdoor time, ensure doors and gates are secure, and maintain a clean, calm environment. I also understand how important communication is, which is why I provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident and reassured while they’re away. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Silver Firs
This was our first time with Jennifer as our cat sitter. My cats take a long time to get used to someone new, so they didn’t make it easy for her, but Jennifer managed to find them each time (often hiding under a bed). She was patient with them and provided photos and updates with every visit. Will be happy to hire Jennifer again!

We cannot recommend Cameron highly enough. This was Cameron’s first time caring for our household, which includes two cats and two senior African Grey parrots. Anyone familiar with parrots knows they can have very specific care requirements, personalities, and routines, so entrusting their care to someone new is not something we take lightly. From the beginning, Cameron was conscientious, reliable, communicative, and clearly committed to providing excellent care. He took the time to understand each animal’s needs and gave us confidence that they were in capable hands while we were away. During our trip, an unexpected pet emergency occurred. Cameron responded immediately and with remarkable professionalism. He followed our “in case of emergency” instructions, contacted the appropriate people, sought veterinary care without hesitation, and kept us informed throughout a very difficult situation. We were deeply impressed by his calm demeanor, sound judgment, and genuine compassion during an incredibly stressful circumstance. In addition to handling the emergency exceptionally well, Cameron took wonderful care of our other pets and our home. The level of responsibility, kindness, and dedication he demonstrated went far beyond our expectations. Trustworthiness, good judgment, compassion, and genuine care for animals are qualities that cannot be taught, and Cameron demonstrated all of them. We would not hesitate to have him care for our pets again and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for an outstanding pet sitter. Thank you, Cameron. We are truly grateful for everything you did for our family

Ashlyn was absolutely wonderful! Timely, attentive, and incredibly communicative throughout the drop-in visits with our two cats. I felt at ease knowing they were in such caring and reliable hands. I highly recommend Ashlyn to anyone looking for a trustworthy and thoughtful pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
