About: I have taken care of animals since I was a pre-teen, but fell in love with animal care fully in my junior year of high school, after I began volunteering at the Everett Animal Shelter. Since then, I have changed positions and worked as a post-surgery volunteer with PAWS, transporting and handling anesthetized animals after they underwent surgeries. This summer I am also interning at PAWS again, this time as a Foster Care Intern, where I manage the entire foster care system behind the scenes. Additionally, I have worked with large animals such as horses while volunteering, managed and milked dairy cattle, and took care of pigs as my job on the side. I will continue to grow my portfolio, as I am a Pre-Vet Animal Science major at Washington State University with the goal of becoming a veterinarian one day. I am currently on summer break in my hometown (Everett) and have pretty open availability. I intern at paws from 8am-12pm on Sundays & Mondays, and 12-5pm on Thursdays, but other than that, I am free for walks, house sitting, or drop ins! Safety is extremely important during both house sitting & walks! For walks, I like to make sure dogs stay on the side of the sidewalk away from the road, as well as being properly harnessed and equipped with essential needs like poop bags and water incase of an emergency. I also keep a sharp eye out for other dogs to steer clear from unwanted interactions. Additionally, during house sitting, outside doors stay locked at all times, and your pet is watched 24/7. No escapes will happen on my watch! I am open to following any other rules, expectations or suggestions you have regarding your pet & house’s safety!
“Kylie has walked our pup four times over the past two weeks. She is professional, reliable, and has a warm, easygoing demeanor. Our dog took to her right away, which gave us immediate peace of mind. We’re looking forward to having Kylie take care of her full-time while we’re on vacation this summer—it’s reassuring to know she’ll be in such good hands.”

“Kristen is amazing! She is so kind and has a wonderful personality! My dogs just love her and even my cats love her! She leaves detailed updates on her visits and send plenty of pictures! She only has to take them down to the park but takes them for a little longer walk on pretty days! I am honestly so glad that I found her! I would highly recommend her!”

“Jennifer is professional, reliable, trustworthy and patient....and my dog can be very high energy and sometimes intimidating. Her experience is a great advantage!”

“Jaevin was great with my Goldens. He took the time to take and send pics and videos. We would absolutely reach out to him again in the future! Thank you, Jaevin! 🙏”

“Thank you Mayra for the intelligent and patient way you handled the recent difficult walk with our 2 girls. I'm so glad you were there and so alert to the menace of the neighborhood dog running loose. You're the best!”

About: I’ve had at least one pet in my home for over 40 years and have been providing pet sitting for more than two years. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love. I currently have two dogs and a cat, so I understand that every pet has its own unique personality, routine, and needs. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I enjoy playing with animals and believe regular exercise, mental stimulation, and social interaction are essential for their happiness and well-being. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with companionship, I’ll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I also believe that patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement help bring out the best in every animal. I’ll care for your pet as if they were one of my own, giving you peace of mind while you’re away. As a former teacher and parent of two young children, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. I enjoy staying active, so fitting walks, playtime, feeding, and check-ins into my day comes naturally. I make it a priority to give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve while keeping their routine as consistent as possible. Whether your pet needs regular visits, exercise, or companionship while you’re away, I’m committed to providing reliable, loving care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they can stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or mine, I’ll provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, fresh water, and lots of affection. I closely monitor pets during walks and outdoor time, keep a clean and safe environment, and always treat your home with the same respect I would my own. I also believe communication is important, so I’ll gladly provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel confident, comfortable, and cared for every step of the way.
About: I’ve dog sat and walked many different breeds of dogs for family and friends! I was also present during my own dogs training when he was a puppy. I have also looked after elderly dogs, so I have experience with all ages! I am currently not working because I am leaving late August for college, so my schedule is very open! I am willing to work with your schedule. I have safe dog toys, a medium size crate if needed, and a large backyard with a tall secure fence. Also, I strictly follow each pets routine and instructions if given. I treat every pet as if they were my own and keep owners updated with photos and messages.

About: "I offer more than just sitting—I provide a true home away from home. My entire life has been arounddogs, giving me deep insight into their needs. As I have significant time available, your dog will enjoy maximum attention and companionship. Choosing this job comes from my heart; I genuinely believe there's no better way to spend my time. Expect your dog to feel loved, wanted, and completely comfortable with me." My schedule has recently changed, and I now have a lot of time on my hands—I am home all the time. This means I can offer maximum availability and flexibility to fit your pet's routine, whether that's for drop-in visits or extended stays. More importantly, I am looking for a loving companion, and I know your dog and I will both benefit from the company. I genuinely dislike being alone, and I find immense joy in having pets nearby. I'd describe myself as even more attentive and "clingy" than a Velcro dog, so your furry friend will receive continuous attention, companionship, and endless hugs and love. "I offer pet boarding in a secure and welcoming single-family home. Pets will enjoy abundant space for exercise and play, including a large, fully fenced backyard. The home's location on a quiet cul-de-sac within a desirable neighborhood, complete with nearby parks, ensures a safe and peaceful environment for your beloved pet."
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12. Family relied on me to take care of dogs while they are at work or doing business overseas. I fed them, bathe them, took them out for a walk once or twice a day. Until now I slept with my dog everyday. I am currently a part time college student. I work 5 hours on weekends, so the rest of the day I can be with you pups. I am available for boarding every weekday and weekends. Other than that I have plenty of time to take your pups on a walk and give them all the attention they need. Your pups will experience a car trip and a treat on the way. Picture will be provided to you, if you curious about how your pet is doing. I have a fenced yard with a secure lock door, my personal furry pet “Mojo” to keep your pups company at all time. Your pups can go everywhere around the house, bedroom and living room. We put pet fence at the door before the way out. The yard is clean, temperature is very good for your pups to stay out for half an hour or even longer. We’ll take care of your furry pups just like ours.
“Alexandra was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and kept us updated with quick, thoughtful communication. We really appreciated her helping us out on such short notice. Thank you!”

“This was my first time using Rover. I have a high energy dog who is in the process of being trained and Sommer was perfect! I will definitely be re-booking. Sommer sent the best pictures of my puppy and it made me so happy when I was out of town for work. She is also very friendly and easy to chat with!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Silver Firs
We had a fantastic experience with Satyasri! She truly went above and beyond by coming over for a meet-and-greet the day before, which really helped us feel comfortable trusting her with both our dog and our home. She asked all the right questions about our dog's needs and routine. On the day of the visit, she was punctual, sent great photo updates, and was very communicative throughout. We also really appreciated her diligence in making sure the house was secure and the door was locked when she left. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter/walker!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
