“She’s been an amazing Rover sitter—always on time, and my dog absolutely adores her. I consistently get thoughtful updates with great photos that clearly show how happy and comfortable he is. Communication is quick, friendly, and reliable, so I never have to wonder how things are going. I truly appreciate her professionalism, care, and attention to detail.”

“Jenn did great with our dog Coconut. Even though our dog has some anxiety issues Jenn was patient and kind. We will definitely come back for future dog sitting and walking needs. Thanks so much!”

“Kylie has walked our pup four times over the past two weeks. She is professional, reliable, and has a warm, easygoing demeanor. Our dog took to her right away, which gave us immediate peace of mind. We’re looking forward to having Kylie take care of her full-time while we’re on vacation this summer—it’s reassuring to know she’ll be in such good hands.”

About: My family loves dogs. We also know how hard it is to find care you can trust. We will send pictures when you are gone and give your dog lots of attention. We have both owned dogs our whole lives and are very familiar with all breeds. We signed up to be foster parents to shelter dogs, have administered medication and taken care of puppies and older dogs. We have one friendly yellow lab who is happy to welcome others into her home and play. We also have a two small children so we ask that your dogs be kid friendly. We are flexible, and can help in picking up and dropping off if nearby on certain days. If interested, please ask and we can try and coordinate. Please contact us! We would love to help you. We have a big yard for the dogs to run around and play in. We let them out whenever needed. Drop off and pick up times are flexible, but we ask that dogs are picked up or dropped off before 10pm. If this cannot be accommodated, we ask you please pay for an additional day and pick up the next morning. Or drop off the day before. We have a fenced in yard and a friendly yellow lab to provide lots of play. Most dogs are pretty tired and happy when they leave! Our kids give them lots of attention as well.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12. Family relied on me to take care of dogs while they are at work or doing business overseas. I fed them, bathe them, took them out for a walk once or twice a day. Until now I slept with my dog everyday. I am currently a part time college student. I work 5 hours on weekends, so the rest of the day I can be with you pups. I am available for boarding every weekday and weekends. Other than that I have plenty of time to take your pups on a walk and give them all the attention they need. Your pups will experience a car trip and a treat on the way. Picture will be provided to you, if you curious about how your pet is doing. I have a fenced yard with a secure lock door, my personal furry pet “Mojo” to keep your pups company at all time. Your pups can go everywhere around the house, bedroom and living room. We put pet fence at the door before the way out. The yard is clean, temperature is very good for your pups to stay out for half an hour or even longer. We’ll take care of your furry pups just like ours.
“Jaevin was great with my Goldens. He took the time to take and send pics and videos. We would absolutely reach out to him again in the future! Thank you, Jaevin! 🙏”

About: Professionally speaking, I worked at an emergency and specialty hospital for 2 years. There not only did I learn valuable skills in handling animals, but I also learned how to perform CPR and how to recognize a medical emergency. Next I worked at a doggy daycare that was privately owned and took in dogs of a variety of temperaments and medical needs. I monitored play groups by observing body language and watching for potentially escalating behavior. Personally speaking, I was raised on a farm with a variety of animals. I rescued my first foster dog about 10 years ago when I was almost 30. She still lives with one of my friends and is a spoiled dog in the perfect home. Once I met my spouse over 6 years ago, we started our own animal family together. She is a critical care licensed veterinary technician in a local specialty hospital. I came along with two dogs of my own, they came along with a dog that was untouchable when she was adopted. I was lucky enough to be the second person to earn her trust and now she is just as much my girl. Since we have adopted a 9lbs pomchi who tried biting us in the parking lot when her previous home was moving out the country. It was a very scary event for a little dog; she needed a total of one chicken nugget and patience but now I get to see the trust in her eyes. We have 2 cats who came from PAWS and 2 cats who were found in a park. Then we have our leopard gecko, corn snake, and ball python. We previously had rabbits who have since moved on. With 4 years of professional experience and 35 years before that of personal experience, I am comfortable with all animals and excited to meet yours! I am a believer in low stress, force-free handling, and I accommodate to the individual pet's needs and boundaries. Currently I am a pet sitter full time and happy to meet your pets needs. With my spouse at home able to focus on our animals, I am able to focus on yours! I do often leave for 1-3 hours at a time during house stays to run errands, but if I am needed there 100% of the time, I am happy to have a conversation. I know how hard it can be with some animals needing 24/7 1:1 care. Due to my own animals behavioral needs, I do not bring new animals into our home or bring my animals with me. Every new animal is an adjustment period for my fur babies so I do not bring them to my home. However, my animals have my spouse so I can focus on your babies. I do not yell or believe in using force. I prefer to not use prong collars or training collars. I love to reward and make animals feel safe. I love a note of things you would love for your animal to do or what your animals schedule and needs are like. I will follow your requests 100%. I know what a medical emergency looks like and I know where the local emergency hospitals are just in case. I do not have human children to consider, my animals are my kids and I will treat your babies like my own.
“Alexandra was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and kept us updated with quick, thoughtful communication. We really appreciated her helping us out on such short notice. Thank you!”

“Laurel-Ann was great with our two larger than life pups! Even when one wasn’t feeling good, she kept me in the loop with detailed updates and pictures. I will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm caring for dogs, cats, and many other animals, which taught me responsibility, patience, and an understanding of different pet personalities and needs. Over the years, I have cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors. I have experience with both small and large breeds, including German Shepherds, Dobermans, and my own Labradoodle, who is a very important part of my life. Because of my experience, I am comfortable providing exercise, feeding, playtime, companionship, and following any special care instructions. I understand that pets are family members, and I will treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I believe communication is important, so I will provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for at all times. I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I'm available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care, and I'm happy to work around your pet's existing routine. Whether your pet needs regular potty breaks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or extra companionship, I strive to keep their day as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so they receive care that's consistent with what they're used to at home. I am comfortable administering medication, following feeding schedules, crating when requested, and accommodating pets with specific needs. Growing up around animals on a farm has taught me how to read their behavior, stay patient, and create a calm environment where they feel safe and cared for. I can also provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away.

About: I have tons of paid experience watching animals for friends and family. Including dogs of all sizes, cats, guinea pigs, and even chickens. I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life. My love for animals has only grown as I’ve gotten older! I’m currently employed at a seasonal job at a baseball park, averaging only a handful of shifts a month. This allows me plenty of flexibility to take care of your pets! I am well equipped to care for your furry friends and respect your home! I have experience in house sitting and have lived with a dog/s my whole life. I am well accustomed to the care and attentiveness that goes into being in someone else’s house whilst pet sitting.
“Kristen is amazing! She is so kind and has a wonderful personality! My dogs just love her and even my cats love her! She leaves detailed updates on her visits and send plenty of pictures! She only has to take them down to the park but takes them for a little longer walk on pretty days! I am honestly so glad that I found her! I would highly recommend her!”

“Danayt does a wonderful job taking care of our puppy Midnight! She is communicative, reliable, and always keeps us updated with photos and messages during walks. It’s clear she genuinely cares about Midnight and has built a great connection with her. We always feel confident knowing our baby is in such caring hands.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Silver Firs
We had a fantastic experience with Satyasri! She truly went above and beyond by coming over for a meet-and-greet the day before, which really helped us feel comfortable trusting her with both our dog and our home. She asked all the right questions about our dog's needs and routine. On the day of the visit, she was punctual, sent great photo updates, and was very communicative throughout. We also really appreciated her diligence in making sure the house was secure and the door was locked when she left. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter/walker!

Kylie has walked our pup four times over the past two weeks. She is professional, reliable, and has a warm, easygoing demeanor. Our dog took to her right away, which gave us immediate peace of mind. We’re looking forward to having Kylie take care of her full-time while we’re on vacation this summer—it’s reassuring to know she’ll be in such good hands.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
