“Vittoria is extremely sweet and caring with our older dog. She took the time to come over to meet us before our scheduled appointment, and went out of her way to make sure he was comfortable and happy during their visit. Would highly recommend here to anyone looking for pet care.”

“Thankful that KayLee and Brian go above and beyond for Tombo. They have been so patient with him as he gets used to walking with them as well as understand his peculiarities (doesn’t like rain).”

“Jake gets to see Kaitlyn once a week and he recognizes her car and starts jumping and squealing until she comes walking into the yard! Kaitlyn is so nice and friendly to both my dogs, and always gives a little pet time to my stay at home dog. She is always punctual and responsible, communicating any time changes or being flexible with dates if I need changes. Jake is very calm after his walks, and seems very satisfied with their adventure for the day. I highly recommend Kaitlyn.”

About: Excellent with senior care, comfortable with giving most types of medications. Will provide frequent updates about how your fur baby is including photos with a witty caption! I’m currently in between jobs, and have a good amount of free time to take your pup on an adventure! Alternatively, a slow day with walks around the neighborhood or time in the local park work too! I have a fenced in yard, however I will always be outside with your pup! Inside the house are several bowls of water and every couple hours we will take a walk!
“We recently hired Erica to care for my dog, Lexi, and cat, Kona, and we couldn't be more pleased. Erica was prompt, professional, and made sure to keep us updated with photos and messages throughout our time away. Lexi can be a bit shy, and Erica was patient with Lexi's idiosyncracicies. Kona is an "Invisible Kitty" and Erica made sure her litterbox tidy and her food properly portioned. When we returned, both pets were happy, healthy, and well-cared-for. We highly recommend Erica and will definitely use her services again in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up with and taken care of dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes. I currently have a 7 month old puppy and 2 cats who are a year and a half. We adopted all of them at about 7 weeks, so I have plenty of experience with pups and kittens, and my puppy is an eager playmate for your dog if they’d like that! I’ve also taken care of senior dogs and cats, so your little oldie is safe with me as well ◡̈ I’m eager to provide patient and attentive care to every animal regardless of their needs. I live a very active lifestyle and love running around with fur babies! I currently work part time so my schedule is pretty open. The main times I’m not available are when I work Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays 6am-2:30pm. I also have school Mondays 2pm-5pm and Thursdays 1pm-5pm. For house sitting services- I am happy to stay over at your home and care for your dog or cat in any way they need! Please check my availability to see times that I have work and school because I will have to be away from your home for those hours. For dog walking services- I am happy to walk your dog wherever would make you feel safest and most comfortable. If your dog likes dog parks, I have a few that I trust and take my dog to regularly. My apartment building also has a fenced, off-leash dog area that rarely has any other dogs in it and I’d be happy to run around with your dog there as well.
“Barbara did a fantastic job walking our dig when we could not. She was on time, adapted to our complicated schedule and was very caring towards our dog. We would definitely recommend her.”

“Kylie has walked our pup four times over the past two weeks. She is professional, reliable, and has a warm, easygoing demeanor. Our dog took to her right away, which gave us immediate peace of mind. We’re looking forward to having Kylie take care of her full-time while we’re on vacation this summer—it’s reassuring to know she’ll be in such good hands.”

“Alexandra was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and kept us updated with quick, thoughtful communication. We really appreciated her helping us out on such short notice. Thank you!”

“Daniel was great. He picked up Hatchi and took him for a good mile walk. I was a little nervous handing my puppy over to someone I do not know, but Daniel took the time to come meet with me the day before Hatchi' s scheduled walk and I appreciated that. I will definitely be booking him again to walk Hatchi.”

“She’s been an amazing dog walker for us! My dog absolutely loves her—she’s incredibly friendly, patient, and gentle, which made a huge difference right away. In just a couple of days, he’s already grown to trust her, and there is improvement in his walks (calmer and more confident). Great communication and truly caring. Highly recommend!”

“Thanks so much to Shannon for helping us out last minute and working us into her schedule. Very responsive and kind. I knew my dogs were in good hands with her! Would definitely use her again.”

About: I have always had dogs in my life, most recently our Dachshund who was with us for 16 years (and had the special qualities that come with weiner dogs 😁). I have also provided drop in petcare for dogs, and provided long-term in home pet sitting for families. I am a Kindergarten teacher who is taking some time off after 25 years. My career has required that I am reliable, caring, and patient. I also understand that your dog is your family member. You can feel confident that I will keep them safe and love them until you are home again! I look forward to meeting your furry family member! I have a flexible schedule during the week and spend my days at home so your dog will have a lot of company! I am available for walks, overnight boarding at my house (no pets, no kids, no smoking) or drop in visits to give your dog a break, food, exercise, or attention during the day... whatever your goal is for the visit. At my home I have a large yard and I also live next to beautiful trails and parks for walks. I would love to spend time outside being active with your dog. At your home, I am happy to learn your preferences regarding navigating coming in to care for your pet and what your goal is for the visit. In either scenario I will provide pictures and updates.

“Jenn did great with our dog Coconut. Even though our dog has some anxiety issues Jenn was patient and kind. We will definitely come back for future dog sitting and walking needs. Thanks so much!”

“Big thanks to Tony for accommodating my same day request for a dog walk. Appreciate a great report with photos. I always feel confident that Winston is being well taken care of with Tony.”

“Miranda does such an amazing job walking our very large, high-energy puppy time and time again! She is so professional and reliable and sends the most detailed updates and photos. We highly recommend Miranda!”

Vittoria is extremely sweet and caring with our older dog. She took the time to come over to meet us before our scheduled appointment, and went out of her way to make sure he was comfortable and happy during their visit. Would highly recommend here to anyone looking for pet care.

Star is truly amazing! She is so communicative, respectful, and reliable, and always follows all of my directions perfectly. She is absolutely wonderful with my dog, and I can tell how much care and attention she gives her every time she comes by. She truly goes above and beyond with all of the photos and thoughtful comments she sends after each walk. I genuinely couldn’t recommend Star more!

Alyssa has been waking Phoebe for a while now. She's always dependable, always leaves a detailed review, and is also very communicative. Phoebe is a bit wary of strangers, and Alyssa has been very patient with her and allowed her to get comfortable and then take out for a walk. Thanks a ton, Alyssa!!

Samantha was fantastic! She walked Olive for three weeks on relatively short notice and did an amazing job. Being a dog mom to a reactive dog isn't easy, especially when you have to leave your dog in someone else's hands, but Samantha made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. She followed my (way-too-detailed 😅) instructions perfectly and sent detailed reports after every walk. Olive absolutely loved her from the very first meet & greet, and Samantha's punctuality made a huge difference. Olive thrives on a consistent routine, and we could really tell she was much less stressed than she has been in the past when we've had to leave her with friends or family. I would recommend Samantha without hesitation and will absolutely book with her again!

My regular walker was out of town for a month so needed short term coverage, who could be flexible. Joan was able to come during this time and was eager to provide excellent service, rolling with the changing weeks and giving Jake the long walks needed to tire him out. Jake looked forward to seeing Joan and she provided lots of pets and praise to both my dogs! I appreciated her ability to help me out, always cheerful and providing any updates I needed to know!

Danayt does a wonderful job taking care of our puppy Midnight! She is communicative, reliable, and always keeps us updated with photos and messages during walks. It’s clear she genuinely cares about Midnight and has built a great connection with her. We always feel confident knowing our baby is in such caring hands.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
