“Jaevin was great with my Goldens. He took the time to take and send pics and videos. We would absolutely reach out to him again in the future! Thank you, Jaevin! 🙏”

“Kristen is amazing! She is so kind and has a wonderful personality! My dogs just love her and even my cats love her! She leaves detailed updates on her visits and send plenty of pictures! She only has to take them down to the park but takes them for a little longer walk on pretty days! I am honestly so glad that I found her! I would highly recommend her!”

“Samantha was fantastic! She walked Olive for three weeks on relatively short notice and did an amazing job. Being a dog mom to a reactive dog isn't easy, especially when you have to leave your dog in someone else's hands, but Samantha made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. She followed my (way-too-detailed 😅) instructions perfectly and sent detailed reports after every walk. Olive absolutely loved her from the very first meet & greet, and Samantha's punctuality made a huge difference. Olive thrives on a consistent routine, and we could really tell she was much less stressed than she has been in the past when we've had to leave her with friends or family. I would recommend Samantha without hesitation and will absolutely book with her again!”

“Kaylee was fabulous once again! She is communicative and flexible. I also love how detailed her check ins are, and she sends a lot of pictures, which makes this dog mom feel reassured ☺️ Thank you Kaylee!”

“Danayt does a wonderful job taking care of our puppy Midnight! She is communicative, reliable, and always keeps us updated with photos and messages during walks. It’s clear she genuinely cares about Midnight and has built a great connection with her. We always feel confident knowing our baby is in such caring hands.”

“Alexandra was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and kept us updated with quick, thoughtful communication. We really appreciated her helping us out on such short notice. Thank you!”

About: I have had animals my whole life and love them all. I have one dog, a border collie with lots of energy for your pups to play all day long with. We also live close to a dog park, with your approval I can the doggies. We do take daily walk and will send pic and updates daily. I also use to work for years as dog groomer and have no problem adding a bath/brush to your babies before returning them home. I work remote from home so, I will always be home with your pups! Take daily walks and /or hikes. I am very excited to help watch your dogs! I have one teenager and a little Chihuahu to keep your pups playing and entertained all day long. My dog is crate trained but typically just sleeps on her bed in the dining room, with their food, water, blankets, toys etc. Whatever they want/need to feel comfortable.

About: I got to spend 10 lovely years with my dog Kai before she passed the rainbow bridge at 15. She was the best walking buddy I could have ever asked for. We've explored the area for the last 10 years, and I've learned of some of the best grassy fields, forests, and trails around. I am available from 8am to 8pm for walks. When the sun is still setting at 9pm, I can do late night walks up to 10pm. I have a house with a large fenced backyard complete with grass and shade. There is access to inside via a doggy door through the garage.

“My dog looks happy when I get home from work and Tony has taken him for a walk earlier in the day. She leaves real comments, including any concerns she may have about his daily well-being. Also, she really gets a good sense for Toby’s personality, so for us it is nice to have someone watch Toby who he is also comfortable to be around. Also, thanks for being available those times when it’s short notice”

About: I absolutely love dogs! I grew up with a black lab and helped take care of him, but started as a formal dogsitter for neighbors and friends when I was about 16. My husband, Matt, and I are active people, and walk our 3-year-old, mixed-breed pup, Cedar, around 2 miles a day. Cedar is well-socialized and loves other dogs; we have yet to meet a dog she didn't like. I've looked after dogs of all sizes, including extra large, as well as senior dogs that require both oral and topical medications regularly. Since we have a dog, pet care is already a part of our daily routine! I work from home with Cedar on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and bring her into my dog-friendly office in Fremont on Tuesdays and Thursdays. When at home, she goes for 2 one-mile walks a day. When in the office, she walks a little less than that, but spends the day playing with the other dogs in the office (and your dog can, too!). I'm happy to stick to the routine you have in place for your dog as closely as possible. We live in a house with an unfenced yard and a spacious balcony, so easy access to the outdoors.
“Excellent experience all around, we went on vacation and he kept the dog well fed and active, always sent photos and just always went above and beyond. For example he introduced my dog to his dog so mine wasn't so lonely while we were gone, and on Christmas he gave my dog a treat and extra time, and it is just little things like that which shows he really cared. I can't recommend him enough, if you need a dog walker, choose him!”

About: I have been surrounded by dogs and cats since I was young and currently have two dogs since they were puppies. Obe is a 7-year-old mix of poodle, terrier and husky; Churro is a 3-year-old mix of Great Pyreness and Australian Shepherd. Churro likes to play with other dogs, but Obe likes to stay alone most of the time. We live in an apartment but are nearby a middle school, which has a big baseball field that we always take our dogs to run around. I work during the week but can visit or walk your pets after work. I am mostly available on Friday night so I can either do boarding or daycare from Friday night throughout the weekends. I have a baby gate in the hallway that can easily separate your pets from my dogs. I also have a huge crate that can easily crate your pets if needed.
About: I have always had a profound love for animals, especially cats and dogs. This passion began when I was a child, taking care of my grandparents' dogs. Over the years, this experience has nurtured my affection for animals and taught me the importance of providing them with the best possible care. Growing up around pets has given me an in-depth understanding of their needs, behaviors, and the joys they bring into our lives. I truly believe that every moment spent with a pet is precious, and I cherish the time I get to spend with your beloved babies. Whether it's feeding, playing, or simply providing companionship, I find joy in every aspect of pet care. One of my greatest strengths is my attention to detail. I am meticulous in observing your pets' moods and health, ensuring they are always happy and comfortable. My patience allows me to handle various situations calmly and efficiently, especially when dealing with pets that require special care. I look forward to providing them with the best care and creating wonderful memories together! I currently work fully remote, so it super flexible for me to take care the pets, whenever they want to go out or just want to play with me, I can do that. I have a dog friendly cat in home and live in a third-floor townhouse that pet will have plenty room to run and play, also a non-fenced public yard to run(so will be on leash)

Alyssa has been waking Phoebe for a while now. She's always dependable, always leaves a detailed review, and is also very communicative. Phoebe is a bit wary of strangers, and Alyssa has been very patient with her and allowed her to get comfortable and then take out for a walk. Thanks a ton, Alyssa!!

My regular walker was out of town for a month so needed short term coverage, who could be flexible. Joan was able to come during this time and was eager to provide excellent service, rolling with the changing weeks and giving Jake the long walks needed to tire him out. Jake looked forward to seeing Joan and she provided lots of pets and praise to both my dogs! I appreciated her ability to help me out, always cheerful and providing any updates I needed to know!

Julia was so friendly and came to do a Meet and Greet with Lemon before her visit. It was our first time using Rover and we couldn’t be more pleased. Julia took him on two walks while we were away all day and night for a wedding and she sent us pics of our guy so we didn’t have to miss him too much 😊 Thanks, Julia!

Linh did an amazing job walking Rocky while I was away. She picked him up every day, took him for a full walk (often longer than scheduled), and treated him with so much care. My family felt very comfortable having her help. Truly grateful for her reliability and kindness
Hanyu was wonderful! She sent plenty of photo updates and left incredibly detailed, sweet notes each day. It gave me such peace of mind knowing Lyra was in excellent hands and truly enjoying her walks. I highly recommend Hanyu and will definitely be booking with her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
