“Jennifer was awesome! She sent me a picture of my dog on her walk and also left a note to let me know how everything went while she was there. I will be using Jennifer again!”

“Kristen is amazing! She is so kind and has a wonderful personality! My dogs just love her and even my cats love her! She leaves detailed updates on her visits and send plenty of pictures! She only has to take them down to the park but takes them for a little longer walk on pretty days! I am honestly so glad that I found her! I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life. I grew up on a farm caring for dogs, cats, and many other animals, which taught me responsibility, patience, and an understanding of different pet personalities and needs. Over the years, I have cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors. I have experience with both small and large breeds, including German Shepherds, Dobermans, and my own Labradoodle, who is a very important part of my life. Because of my experience, I am comfortable providing exercise, feeding, playtime, companionship, and following any special care instructions. I understand that pets are family members, and I will treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. I believe communication is important, so I will provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for at all times. I work remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to provide consistent attention and care throughout the day. I'm available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight care, and I'm happy to work around your pet's existing routine. Whether your pet needs regular potty breaks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or extra companionship, I strive to keep their day as normal and stress-free as possible while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so they receive care that's consistent with what they're used to at home. I am comfortable administering medication, following feeding schedules, crating when requested, and accommodating pets with specific needs. Growing up around animals on a farm has taught me how to read their behavior, stay patient, and create a calm environment where they feel safe and cared for. I can also provide regular updates and photos to give you peace of mind while you're away.

About: I got to spend 10 lovely years with my dog Kai before she passed the rainbow bridge at 15. She was the best walking buddy I could have ever asked for. We've explored the area for the last 10 years, and I've learned of some of the best grassy fields, forests, and trails around. I am available from 8am to 8pm for walks. When the sun is still setting at 9pm, I can do late night walks up to 10pm. I have a house with a large fenced backyard complete with grass and shade. There is access to inside via a doggy door through the garage.
“Kylie has walked our pup four times over the past two weeks. She is professional, reliable, and has a warm, easygoing demeanor. Our dog took to her right away, which gave us immediate peace of mind. We’re looking forward to having Kylie take care of her full-time while we’re on vacation this summer—it’s reassuring to know she’ll be in such good hands.”

About: 🌿 Thoughtful, One-on-One Dog Care, Like We’d Want for Our Own After over 10 years as devoted Alaskan Malamute parents, we said goodbye to our beloved fur baby last year. We realized we still have so much love, structure, and care to give. We started Rover to offer the kind of high-quality, calm, and attentive care we always hoped to find for our own dog. We understand how deeply personal it is to leave your dog in someone else’s care because we’ve been there ourselves. 🐶 Why We Aren't Your Average Rover - Exclusive Care: We host only one client at a time. Your dog gets our undivided attention - no juggling multiple packs. - Always Home: We work from home and coordinate schedules so your pup is never left alone. We even order grocery in when your pup stays with us. - Peaceful Environment: No kids and no other pets in the home, a calm space for your dog to relax. - Tons of Updates: Expect to be "spammed" with photos, updates, and a detailed end‑of‑day summary so you never have to wonder how they are doing. 🐾 Our Experience Goes Beyond the Basics Evan grew up with cats, Malamutes and mixed breeds, while Sydney was raised with a Maltese. We are comfortable with sizes ranging from toy pooch to gentle giants. We also have done drop-in care for our friends & neighbors' cats & dogs. We understand the importance of patient, predictable care, especially for older dogs or those who simply prefer a quieter pace. We’re also comfortable caring for large breeds and dogs who prefer humans over other dogs. 🏠 Important Note for New Client with 40lb+ Pup We require overnight guests more than 40lb+ to be fully crate-trained and comfortable sleeping downstairs in the crate in the living room. Since our bedroom is on the second floor, we are not the right fit for the large pups who need to sleep in the bedroom or in bed with humans (we are not able to carry 40lb+ pup up and down stairs 😥 safely). This policy ensures your pup's safety, preventing slips, falls, and joint strain when going up and down the hardwood stairs or free-roaming in the dark unattended. Once we’ve had a chance to get to know your pup and understand their temperament, many of our returning guests transition out of the crate unless that’s their preferred sleeping setup. Every stay begins with a required Meet & Greet to ensure a mutual fit. We want everyone - both humans and pups - to feel safe, comfortable, and confident before booking! 🐶 Daily care includes: - Minimum of 2 walks per day, adjusted based on your dog’s age, energy level, and preferences - Plenty of companionship, playtime, and rest - A routine that mirrors your dog’s normal schedule as closely as possible - We live near beautiful trails in a very dog-friendly community and love tailoring walks to each dog’s needs. We intentionally limit care to one dog at a time so we can maintain the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and comfort. 🏡 Our home is: - Calm and quiet - Kids free - Fenced-in yard with plenty of green space in the community - Cleaned professionally at least once a month to ensure a consistently fresh environment - Reset between stays so each dog arrives to a clean, stress-free space 📝 We follow your instructions closely, from feeding and walking schedules.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mill Creek
Samantha was fantastic! She walked Olive for three weeks on relatively short notice and did an amazing job. Being a dog mom to a reactive dog isn't easy, especially when you have to leave your dog in someone else's hands, but Samantha made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. She followed my (way-too-detailed 😅) instructions perfectly and sent detailed reports after every walk. Olive absolutely loved her from the very first meet & greet, and Samantha's punctuality made a huge difference. Olive thrives on a consistent routine, and we could really tell she was much less stressed than she has been in the past when we've had to leave her with friends or family. I would recommend Samantha without hesitation and will absolutely book with her again!

Danayt does a wonderful job taking care of our puppy Midnight! She is communicative, reliable, and always keeps us updated with photos and messages during walks. It’s clear she genuinely cares about Midnight and has built a great connection with her. We always feel confident knowing our baby is in such caring hands.

We had a fantastic experience with Satyasri! She truly went above and beyond by coming over for a meet-and-greet the day before, which really helped us feel comfortable trusting her with both our dog and our home. She asked all the right questions about our dog's needs and routine. On the day of the visit, she was punctual, sent great photo updates, and was very communicative throughout. We also really appreciated her diligence in making sure the house was secure and the door was locked when she left. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter/walker!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
