Anyone familiar with parrots knows they can have very specific care requirements, personalities, and routines, so entrusting their care to someone new is not something we take lightly. From the beginning, Cameron was conscientious, reliable, communicative, and clearly committed to providing excellent care. He took the time to understand each animal’s needs and gave us confidence that they were in capable hands while we were away. During our trip, an unexpected pet emergency occurred. Cameron responded immediately and with remarkable professionalism. He followed our “in case of emergency” instructions, contacted the appropriate people, sought veterinary care without hesitation, and kept us informed throughout a very difficult situation. We were deeply impressed by his calm demeanor, sound judgment, and genuine compassion during an incredibly stressful circumstance. In addition to handling the emergency exceptionally well, Cameron took wonderful care of our other pets and our home. The level of responsibility, kindness, and dedication he demonstrated went far beyond our expectations. About: I have owned and taken care of pets including dogs, cats, birds and turtles for decades and I have owned every kind of pet you can imagine as I raised 6 children on a 50-acre ranch. I recently lost my sweet dog unexpectedly and spending time with other dogs feeds my soul. I am self-employed and work from home so I am very flexible. I can also take my work with me wherever I go if necessary. I am very available Currently, I am not caring for other dogs in my home. My cats are skittish after losing our dog who was their protective canine friend. We are working on this so it is a possibility depending on the dog.

About: I bring a lifetime of experience in caring for animals and live on 10 acres of wooded pastures with 3 horses, dogs, cats, and a house rabbit. My personal pack of four rescue dogs get along well with any new dog I introduce to the family. I have been fostering dogs for a local rescue organization for several years, gaining hands-on experience with many breeds and ages of dogs. I specialize in puppy care and training and have successfully provided basic training and care for numerous foster dogs. I have experience caring for elderly dogs and am skilled in giving medication and insulin. This is an all inclusive experience for dogs! Here your dog will enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor playtime in my private dog park which offers a peaceful setting away from any traffic noise. This is true farm privacy with a ten acre buffer and plenty of natural enrichment including a natural creek, pond, and wooded pastures. Dogs will have opportunities to participate in activities like sniff walks, barn exploring, and pack walks. For puppies I keep them on a schedule for potty training, socializing, and naps. Additionally, I have a dedicated small dog area and small dogs get to enjoy couch time in the evenings! All activities are included for the boarding price. If you desire an exit bath before your dog goes home please let me know. 🐾 I enjoy working on agility training with one of my dogs who is very athletic and to expand my training knowledge, I continue to work with local dog trainers. Beyond my work with animals, I raised two children and dedicated 18 years to volunteering in our local school district, where I passed multiple background checks and supported various programs and events in schools and classrooms. My property is quiet and away from any traffic yet located just a mile from a major highway making it easy to get to for drop off and pick up! I am home everyday and spend most of my time with the animals in my care. I am happy to be flexible on timing for drop off or pick up windows and can pop in for drop in visits to give you a helping hand. In my home pets will be fed twice a day and have off leash time to relax or play with friends. If they are crate trained they will have their own crate to retreat to and dog beds to rest on. My dogs enjoy meeting new friends and provide a comforting pack to show new dogs the ropes. Outside, I always work on name recall with new dogs on leash and when they get to know me they will have supervised off leash time. Additionally, your dog may enjoy a walk to our horse barn and discover a world of sensory enrichment for their nose! In your home I can play with and feed your kitty or your pups and provide any care they need and can feed on the schedule that you request.

About: I grew up showing and working with terriers in 4H. These days I work as a professional dog trainer, so reading canine body language comes naturally to me. Large breeds and working dogs are where I'm most at home. I share my life with a working line German Shepherd, so high energy and serious pulling power doesn't rattle me. I keep dogs on their normal feeding and walking routines, watch for the small signals that show how they're settling in, and give each one calm, attentive company. My focus stays on keeping your dog comfortable, appropriately stimulated, and genuinely cared for while you're away. I am insured, mentored, and committed to my mission of creating happy healthy canine companions. My schedule is flexible and build around the current dogs in my care, which is a big part of why I can give a visiting dog real attention. Dogs are already woven into my daily rhythm, so feeding, walks, play, and rest breaks are built into my day rather than squeezed around it. I plan my hours around each dog's routine and stay close by for most of the day, with regular potty breaks, appropriate mental and/or physical stimulation, and calm downtime in between. I understand that dogs need help to decompress when in new environments and situations. My first focus is to help them orient to me and if boarding, my home. This looks like social games, confidence building games and routine. I help all dogs know the expectations I have for them and set them up for success and a calm mind. If boarding with me the first step will be on leash while supervised or in a crate if not. This is until the dog and I have a relationship and I know them as far as safety around my resident dog and cat. If safe they are welcome to join in on pack play and house access. Otherwise they will remain safely separated from my resident animals. I live on about an acre in the Clearview woods. I have a 4ft fenced yard as well as additional accessible land to dogs that can earn that privilege. There are no neighboring animals for the dogs to see. I can safely separate client dogs from resident animals. I am well versed in dog body language, decompression, and safe play.
