“Erica was such a pleasure to work with and my cats seemed to enjoy each of her visits from the photos she shared. I will definitely reach out to her again the next time I need a cat sitter.”

“Cameron did an amazing job! I was very nervous since this was my first time using a pet sitter that I didn't personally know, but he did a great job putting my mind at ease. I was really thankful for the very detailed summaries he wrote after each visit. Plus the pictures were very reassuring as well. Thank you Cameron!”

“So glad Tabitha was able to help me out! She is amazing and i will definitely be using her again! My dogs are very clingy to me with one being uncertain and it was great to see them enjoy their time with Tabitha! Dogs know a lot about people! You can’t go wrong trusting your pups with her!”

“My partner and I were so happy with how well our kitty was taken care of by Miranda. We got updates with photos for each visit which we loved and appreciated! We definitely would love to book again in the future 😊”

“Hope has been called the "cat whisper" in other reviews and it is true! We have 3 cats and one has been abused, so it takes a little warming up anyone new in the house. He is very happy to see Hope and has been very calm with her visiting. Hope took great care of them. She did drop in visits while we were away for the weekend. She sends a "Rover card" with each visit that includes details of her visit and picture of each cat, if possible. We had her come in twice a day and was worth it. Do not trust your pets' life to a neighbor. Hope is a true professional and you will return to a clean house, well cared for and healthy animals. We will for sure book Hope again.”

“Brooke took great care of my 3 kitties while I was gone for the weekend! She won over my shy cat too which was great. And she proactively cleaned their food bowls + cleaned up a cat accident on the stairs”

About: I grew up taking care of dogs for family members and friends. I’ve been in the veterinary field for almost 4 years so I have experience for emergency situations such as cpr, choking, and illnesses. I was a kennel attendant prior to going to school for veterinary assistance, so walking dogs and cleaning up after them is second nature to me. I have set schedule at my current hospital -Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. So I will not be available until after 6pm on weekdays, and 5pm on Sunday. I don’t have dogs of my own, but I care for several different types canine patients at my current and past jobs at an animal hospital. Kenneling dogs, play time, and walks played apart in my career.
“Courtney was amazing. She took care of Kiki very well. I felt very comfortable living here with my home and I would hire her again anytime. She was very attentive and even took care of the small details like making sure her box was clean and also making sure there’s a light on if you wanted to. The report were detailed and on time. This was very appreciated.”

“Stephanie has helped us 4 times now with drop in visits while we are out of town and she is amazing, we’ve used Rover for years and we are super happy with the way Stephanie helps our crew of 7 cats :) she is amazing and will ask for her help as long as she is still available!”
“Rachel Angela was wonderful to work with! She accommodated a last minute request to check in on my 4.5 month old puppy and followed all our instructions. She has been very punctual and responsive. We will continue to use her in the future!”

About: I bring a lifetime of experience in caring for animals and live on 10 acres of wooded pastures with 3 horses, dogs, cats, and a house rabbit. My personal pack of four rescue dogs get along well with any new dog I introduce to the family. I have been fostering dogs for a local rescue organization for several years, gaining hands-on experience with many breeds and ages of dogs. I specialize in puppy care and training and have successfully provided basic training and care for numerous foster dogs. I have experience caring for elderly dogs and am skilled in giving medication and insulin. This is an all inclusive experience for dogs! Here your dog will enjoy plenty of supervised outdoor playtime in my private dog park which offers a peaceful setting away from any traffic noise. This is true farm privacy with a ten acre buffer and plenty of natural enrichment including a natural creek, pond, and wooded pastures. Dogs will have opportunities to participate in activities like sniff walks, barn exploring, and pack walks. For puppies I keep them on a schedule for potty training, socializing, and naps. Additionally, I have a dedicated small dog area and small dogs get to enjoy couch time in the evenings! All activities are included for the boarding price. If you desire an exit bath before your dog goes home please let me know. 🐾 I enjoy working on agility training with one of my dogs who is very athletic and to expand my training knowledge, I continue to work with local dog trainers. Beyond my work with animals, I raised two children and dedicated 18 years to volunteering in our local school district, where I passed multiple background checks and supported various programs and events in schools and classrooms. My property is quiet and away from any traffic yet located just a mile from a major highway making it easy to get to for drop off and pick up! I am home everyday and spend most of my time with the animals in my care. I am happy to be flexible on timing for drop off or pick up windows and can pop in for drop in visits to give you a helping hand. In my home pets will be fed twice a day and have off leash time to relax or play with friends. If they are crate trained they will have their own crate to retreat to and dog beds to rest on. My dogs enjoy meeting new friends and provide a comforting pack to show new dogs the ropes. Outside, I always work on name recall with new dogs on leash and when they get to know me they will have supervised off leash time. Additionally, your dog may enjoy a walk to our horse barn and discover a world of sensory enrichment for their nose! In your home I can play with and feed your kitty or your pups and provide any care they need and can feed on the schedule that you request.
“Barbara was wonderful! She took care of our cat, frogs, and turtle while we were gone for 10 days. Our cat loved her and she made sure the other animals were cared for properly. She provided helpful updates and left us a daily log when we returned. I would definitely use Barbara again in the future!”

About: I’ve got two large, high energy doggies of my own, so I know exactly what it takes to keep a rowdy dog happy, worn out, and loved. However, I’ve been the go to pet sitter for friends and family for years, including a three month puppy sleepover while his owner was in Korea! Cat sitting for holidays and caring for multi dog households, including a rescue who needed extra love while settling in. Whether it’s a set routine or just a calm, attentive presence, I’ll treat your pet like my own! I have a very open schedule right now and can offer flexible availability throughout the day, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Weekends work well too! I’m able to accommodate last minute requests and longer visits, so feel free to reach out with your specific needs and I’ll do my best to make it work! I have a fully fenced yard and two friendly puppies who love making new furry friends. There’s also a walking trail right by my house that is absolutely perfect for daily walks and exercise. I keep plenty of toys on hand for playtime, and I’m comfortable and happy to crate your dog if that’s part of their routine
“Mike is great with our dogs and goes out of his way to make sure we are aware of everything going on while away. Our 2 dogs are a little crazy and I know I don’t need to worry while gone if he’s there with them. Thank you Mike!”

“Mary is amazing. She was recommended to me by another dog walker who wasn't available. She is definitely an animal lover. I have one dog who is fearful of strangers and Mary made friends with him immediately. I felt very comfortable in with her in my house and she took care of it as if it were her own. Definitely recommend.”

“Marysa was so amazing, and took such great care of my kitties and home while I was away for an extended trip. She was great with communication, and I had no worries about my girls while I was gone. Highly recommend Marysa!”

About: Hi there! As a lifelong dog person, I have a lot of experience - I have cared for dogs weighing 8 to over 100lbs, and from 6 week old puppies to seniors. I am experienced in dogs with complex situations such as reactivity, fearfulness & timidness, and significant physical impairments. Currently, I own two rescue dogs - a 3 year old female German shepherd/malinois mix, and a 2 year old male Aussie who was born deaf & blind. So when I say the “hard to handle” pups are my speciality, I mean it! I would be happy to take your dog on a walk or local hike, to play outside with them, to work/train (my GSD/malinois girl requires regular scent work, agility, and intense variations on fetch to stay sane), or to simply give them affection. I don’t at all mind working with dogs that take time to win over, or that need extra TLC. All dogs are good dogs, and I can promise you that to me, they are all precious cargo - and will be handled as such in my care. I am a music teacher, and primarily work afternoons & evenings - so earlier in the day I have free time. I am also the mother of a young child, so am unavailable on weekends when he is home from school. I will adhere to strictly to instructions given (ie, your dog is crated or not, food allergies or sensitives to avoid, fears they have or the best ways to make them feel safe) and make sure above all else, they know I am someone they can look forward to seeing.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Maltby. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
