Pet care experience

All dogs welcome!

I absolutely love getting to work with so many wonderful animals through pet sitting, and I always treat your pet exactly as you'd treat them! I have 2 children who love to be involved in care as well! They've been around animals their entire lives and know how to treat animals appropriately, as well as how to be safe and respectful. Please note that I do work, so a dog that requires 24 hour supervision wouldn't be a great match, with some exceptions (extended time off, holidays, etc.) I work in a school setting so I am out of the house during school days when school is in session. I also would not be a good fit for pets that cannot be around children with the exception of drop in visits, as I am a full time single mom. I offer pick up and drop off of your pet, if desired. I have an extensive knowledge of how to care for all different kinds of dogs, including those with special needs. My care includes walks twice per day (or more if needed,) baths (if needed,) trips to the dog park (weather permitting and if they're able to go,) and, of course, a lot of love! I will follow your expected care to the letter and be sure that your dog is comfortable and happy the entire time I am with them! When sending me an inquiry, please include the following so that I can accurately assess if I would be a good fit for your pets needs: - is your pet(s) good with children? - any special needs or care instructions - medication list, if any - how much time per day you would like me to spend with your dog/cat (I ask this because while I do work, I try to spend as much time as possible with your pet. I want to make sure that my availability during that time does fit what they're used to!) - are you wanting me to stay the night in your home? (applies to house sitting requests only) - anything you need done around your house while you're away (applies to house sitting only) - is your pet good with other animals? Leash reactive? Can they go to parks? - anything else you deem important! Why I love dog sitting I have loved dogs since I was a child. As a dog sitter, I am able to experience so many different breeds and personalities. It's so much fun to play with and care for various breeds, and the feeling of knowing that I have made the dog as well as the owner comfortable and happy. I have dealt with dogs of all sizes and various breeds. I have cared for disabled/special needs dogs, including a dog with 3 legs, a dog who was paralyzed, and a dog who was blind AND paralyzed. Meet my pets I have 2 dogs- Diesel and Olaf. Diesel is a Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix and Olaf is a Siberian Husky. They have great temperaments and have been around a huge variety of dogs with how much dog sitting that I do. I also have a cat who is extremely dog savvy but usually remains in a part of the house inaccessible to them, as well as 2 animals who are caged and inaccessible to dogs. About my yard I have a very large yard that my dogs (and visitors) love to run freely in. It is fully fenced all the way around. It does have two sets of stairs to reach the higher tier of the yard, but dogs with mobility issues are not required to use the stairs to access a large portion of it. My experience administering medication I have experience with administering medication (both pills and injections) to dogs, cats, and small animals and would be comfortable doing so for your pets. My work schedule is constantly changing, but I always have time to get in a ton of exercise, love and playtime with my animals and any animals in my care! I offer sitting in both my home as well as your home, because I understand that some pets can get homesick, and I want to make sure that they are as comfortable as possible! I am fun, active and trustworthy. I am a true dog lover and treat my own dogs as if they were my children. I treat any other dog in my care the same way! I have always had a passion for animals and had their best interests at heart. I am a frequent hiker and would love to bring your pet along (if they're able, of course.) My house is filled with a variety of toys, treats and other dog stuff! I would love the chance to make your dog(s) part of the family for the period that they stay with me! For house sitting, I am able to provide additional services such as caring for plants, caged animals, household chores, and anything else you might need taken care of while you're away.

Thank you for looking after our 3 older kitties! It was so nice knowing they were being looked after and receiving their meds.

Nicole was great! Our kitties were well taken care of, and Nicole communicated well before, during, and after visits. We had other visitors at our house when she arrived on one visit, and she checked to make sure that everything was okay with that. I would definitely recommend Nicole!

Absolutely amazing sitter for our dogs, I seriously can't thank her enough! My husband and I went out of town for a week and she sent me so many pictures and was super responsive! I genuinely feel like this is the first time the dogs have seemed satisfied when we got home and I am so appreciative of them getting the attention they needed:) will definitely be coming to Nicole for future sitting!

Safety, trust & environment

We are wonderful at following routines and happy to incorporate your pet's into our lives while they're with us. I am comfortable with crating if that's something you do for your pet. I also have a security system in my home ensuring that I always know if a door isn't closed properly and allowing me to check in through my living room camera when I am away, adding that extra layer of peace of mind.

Pets

A typical day

We go on a morning and evening walk that is roughly 2 miles each time, with plenty of play time outside of the walks. I am also an avid hiker and go as often as I can. If your dog(s) are physically capable of hiking I am more than happy to take them (and usually get some pretty awesome pictures of them doing it while we're at it.) Your dog's sleeping arrangement Unless your dog has a specific place you'd prefer for your dog to sleep, he/she will sleep on the bed cuddled up with me! We also have a couch and various dog beds. Bringing your dogs bed from home (if they have one) does tend to help them feel more comfortable- even if they don't use it! Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as possible! With the exception of places that dogs can't generally go to (specific stores, appointments I might have, etc.) and during my work hours, I would be with them at all times. I try to involve my dogs in as much of my life as I can, and yours would be treated no differently.

I would like to know any special care instructions, the dog's personality, and any preferences that the dog has related to attention, play, walk time, sleeping habits. The better I know your dog, the better I can care for it! I have no breed preferences, I love dogs of all types.
