“Cameron was extremely professional and reliable. Had a great experience and he was very detailed with providing an update on his visit. Would definitely recommend him in the future”

“Our family and pets love Jennifer B. Kevin, our large Anatolian Shepherd looked for Jennifer to come for (2) two days after we got home. He just truly adored her. Jennifer sent photos 100% of the time while we were on our vacation and it made us feel so good about the health and well being of our animals. Also, Jennifer was prompt to the interview to go over the details of the job and then followed through with the best care ever!!! Do not hesitate in considering hiring Jennifer B for the care of your pets.”

“Tabitha is amazing with our dog & new puppy! She is very attentive & caring with them. She always leaves great notes about the visits with photos of both dogs. So glad we found her!”

About: I grew up with multiple Rottweilers which is why I love taking care of dogs, especially bigger breeds. I’ve dog sat for many different friends and family members. I even temporarily fostered a German shepherd who is now living with his forever home. I’m currently working part time, but will be starting a remote job soon which will open my schedule up almost completely for Day sitting or extended-stays even on short notice. I would be able to take your dog out for potty or walks as many times as they need or requested. I make sure to listen and follow any specific instructions that the owner gives me. I know that every dog and cat is different and it’s important to cater to their needs.
About: Over 20 years of pet care for both active animals and senior pups. I have 2 big Akitas so understand temperamental breeds, as well as special senior pups needing medication or slower paced life. You name the day and time, I’m there! Flexible per diem hospital schedule that can work with you and your animals schedule. Love to be outside so all hours work! Open to any and all types of care in clients homes or outside of home. Willing to go to the dog park, help with medication, crate train, go on hikes-whatever works best for you and your 4 legged bestie!
About: I have 27 years of experience in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant. I'm comfortable administering oral medications and injections, caring for senior pets, and monitoring pets with special medical needs. I understand how important it is to provide patient, compassionate, and reliable care so your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable visits, walks, feeding, medication administration, and companionship throughout the day. I understand the importance of consistency and communication, and I enjoy spending quality time with pets while helping them maintain their normal routines when their families are away. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine and environment to reduce stress. I follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions carefully, while monitoring for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health. With 27 years of veterinary experience, I understand the importance of safety, attention to detail, and clear communication with pet owners.

“Whitney dropped in and played with our two month old puppy twice while we had an afternoon in Seattle. She was prompt, communicative, reliable and kind. We know Maple felt comfortable with her as we got a photo of her getting some belly rubs- her favorite! Thank you, Whitney!”

“Kristen was great! Her care of our fur baby was meticulous & she updated us every day with photos. Our home was also respected by her as we noticed almost no difference from when we left it. We are happy to have found such a responsible sitter & hope she is available for our next trip. Five stars in every department!!”

“I found Miranda last minute and she really helped me out watching my new puppy. She gave him lots of love and always sent me a detailed report of how her visit went. I highly recommend her.”

“Barbara was wonderful! She took care of our cat, frogs, and turtle while we were gone for 10 days. Our cat loved her and she made sure the other animals were cared for properly. She provided helpful updates and left us a daily log when we returned. I would definitely use Barbara again in the future!”

“Sarah is fantastic! My cat has special needs (although you’d never know) so I’m super particular about who watches my boy. That said, I would request her to watch my kitty again, hands down! She followed directions, was super communicative, and allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation without worrying about our cat the whole time. We got back and Leo was screaming his head off because he missed us, but we know Sarah spent the time to sit with him and give him love and we all couldn’t appreciate that more. (Thank you, Sarah!)”

“Very happy to have found such a caring and responsible person to care for our kitties when we're out of town. Had a great relaxing trip knowing they were in the best of care.”
“Ethan was wonderful and very attentive to my cat’s needs. His communication was excellent from the start, and I felt completely at ease leaving my cat in his care. Would definitely book his services again!”

“Mary is amazing. She was recommended to me by another dog walker who wasn't available. She is definitely an animal lover. I have one dog who is fearful of strangers and Mary made friends with him immediately. I felt very comfortable in with her in my house and she took care of it as if it were her own. Definitely recommend.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and have cared for pets since I was a child. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love. As a retired pet sitter with a flexible schedule, I can give your pets the time, attention, companionship, and frequent potty breaks they deserve throughout the day. I’m experienced caring for pets of all ages, including senior dogs and cats, and I’m comfortable administering medications when needed. I also have experience caring for cats, alpacas, goats, chickens, and cows, so I’m comfortable with a variety of animals and their unique needs. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I take the time to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I share my home with my sweet senior Beagle, who is very laid-back, gentle, and gets along well with other animals. His calm personality helps visiting pets feel welcome and at ease. While my yard is not fenced, I live in a wonderful, walkable neighborhood that’s perfect for safe leash walks, sniff adventures, or stroller rides for senior pets who still enjoy getting outside. For added peace of mind, a veterinary clinic is conveniently located right at the bottom of my street should an emergency ever arise. I will care for your pets as if they were my own, providing them with plenty of love, patience, and individualized attention. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your furry family member is in loving, dependable hands. As a retiree, I have a very flexible schedule and can provide care any day of the week, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and last-minute bookings when available. Because I’m home most of the day, your pet will receive plenty of attention, companionship, frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and lots of love. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal routine, and I’m happy to work around their schedule to help them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. “For everyone’s safety, I only allow dogs outdoors while securely leashed unless otherwise instructed by the owner.” As a previous owner of two small Yorkies, who sadly passed away from old age, I know how important it is for them to continuously be watched due to predators etc. I will always be very cautious with your prize possessions. I occasionally have my 7 year old grandson in my home, but he is great with animals. He’s only at my place a couple times a week.
“My kitties adored Marysa, and I had zero worries about them while I was away! I came home to two very relaxed and happy cats, and a clean apartment, which was so nice! Marysa was very communicative the whole time, and made sure to send lots of photos, which helped put my helicopter cat mom mind at ease.”

“Jennifer is absolutely incredible. She was so flexible with our wildly last minute request and took such great care of our boys. They were so excited and energized to see us when we returned, not something we can say after visits with all sitters. I cannot recommend Jennifer enough.”

About: I always had a large dog growing up. Just haven't gotten one of my own. All dogs are welcome, big or small, as long as they are potty trained, and dont chew on shoes or furniture. I am available to make sure they are walked, fed, and let outside throughout the day. There are no children in the house to worry about. The house is small, but full of love. There is nothing that is breakable or dangerous to the dogs. I currently work full time teaching during the morning and day and have free afternoons. I have a roommate who if I am not home can tend to the dogs. There is a safe road to walk down to get the energy out. I am absolutely willing to take dogs to the park if they enjoy car rides.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
