“Cameron was an exceptional cat sitter for us!! We booked him twice this month for two separate trips and we could not be more pleased!! Cameron is very dependable, conscientious, thorough and so kind. Don't hesitate for a moment to book him!! We had enormous peace of mind throughout our time away. Thank you, Cameron!! P.S. we're thrilled you were treated to a "Sky sighting" for at least a fleeting moment!! That tells me our ultra shy cat was beginning to warm up to you.🙂”

“Nickey's such a sweetheart who went above and beyond for our babies! The videos of her playing with my two very happy kitties always put a smile on my face while I was away from home. Not only did she follow their care instructions perfectly, but she saved the weekly meal kit I forgot to cancel by putting the contents away in the fridge and vacuumed the floors on top of that. She's an angel, and I'd happily rebook her any day. Thank you so much, Nickey!”

“Mike helped us out for a last-minute short trip, and did a great job with our two cats. In addition to following directions for their care, he kept their food dishes really clean, which we appreciated. When we returned, they seemed calm, which we interpret to mean they were comfortable and content with Mike! We would definitely hire him again!”

“Hope was awesome! Her initial meet and greet with Oakley & I made it easy to see her trust worthyness. And now Oakley has a new friend. I love how easy it was to tell that Oakley got all of his wiggles out cuz he was calm by that time I got home. I'll definitely use Hope's services again. Sharon”

“Whitney dropped in and played with our two month old puppy twice while we had an afternoon in Seattle. She was prompt, communicative, reliable and kind. We know Maple felt comfortable with her as we got a photo of her getting some belly rubs- her favorite! Thank you, Whitney!”

“This was my first time using Rover—and my first time having someone outside of family care for my furry family member. I was a bit hesitant at first, not knowing what to expect. But Rover made the process easy, and more importantly, I found a wonderful cat caregiver in Brooke. We did a meet-and-greet at my home, and I instantly knew my cat was comfortable when he greeted her at the door. Brooke was attentive as I explained his routine and asked thoughtful questions that showed her experience and genuine care. While I was traveling, she checked in daily with detailed notes and adorable photos (bonus: she has a real knack for capturing the best pet moments!). From my cat’s relaxed expressions, it was clear he was well cared for, not stressed, and thoroughly enjoying the playtime and treats Brooke provided. Knowing he was in such good hands gave me tremendous peace of mind. I’ll absolutely be booking Brooke again for future trips!”

About: Dog and cat owner for over 18 years. I also have had hermet crabs and an axolotl - love all animals! They all have a unique personality and it's so fun to get to know them. Just a girl who was not able to have animals as a child so I have an entire adulthood to make up for that surrounding myself with the best creatures out there - animals! We can learn so much as people from animals and showing how we care for animals reflects who we are. I currently am a mom at home with kids in school so I have availability during the day and am flexible for evenings as well. I have a dog, 2 cats and an axolotl. It's important animals feel safe with me so I let them take the lead and I engage with them when they show they are ready. I'm happy to do what you as the client feel comfortable with and need for your fur babies to feel safe and comfortable.
About: I have 27 years of experience in veterinary medicine as a veterinary assistant. I'm comfortable administering oral medications and injections, caring for senior pets, and monitoring pets with special medical needs. I understand how important it is to provide patient, compassionate, and reliable care so your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I currently work very part time. Typically 2 shifts a week in the evenings. The longest I would be away from your pets would be approximately 9 hours 1-2x weekly. I am also on call for my aging family members. They are close so my time away is minimal. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to maintain their normal routine and environment to reduce stress. I follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions carefully, while monitoring for any changes in behavior, appetite, or health. With 27 years of veterinary experience, I understand the importance of safety, attention to detail, and clear communication with pet owners.
“Erica was such a pleasure to work with and my cats seemed to enjoy each of her visits from the photos she shared. I will definitely reach out to her again the next time I need a cat sitter.”

“Miranda was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to get to know our dogs before we left on our trip. During our trip, she sent updates that made us feel much more at ease knowing that our dogs, who are a large part of our family, were well taken care of. After we got home, I think they were a little sad that she wasn't there to hang out with them some more. We would absolutely go with her in the future and we're so thankful that she took such amazing care of our dogs.”

“So glad Tabitha was able to help me out! She is amazing and i will definitely be using her again! My dogs are very clingy to me with one being uncertain and it was great to see them enjoy their time with Tabitha! Dogs know a lot about people! You can’t go wrong trusting your pups with her!”

“Sarah is fantastic! My cat has special needs (although you’d never know) so I’m super particular about who watches my boy. That said, I would request her to watch my kitty again, hands down! She followed directions, was super communicative, and allowed us to fully enjoy our vacation without worrying about our cat the whole time. We got back and Leo was screaming his head off because he missed us, but we know Sarah spent the time to sit with him and give him love and we all couldn’t appreciate that more. (Thank you, Sarah!)”

“It was great having Jennifer watch our dogs while we were away. We were at ease and always able to get a hold of Jennifer. Booking and setting up our first meet and greet was simple.”

“My kitties adored Marysa, and I had zero worries about them while I was away! I came home to two very relaxed and happy cats, and a clean apartment, which was so nice! Marysa was very communicative the whole time, and made sure to send lots of photos, which helped put my helicopter cat mom mind at ease.”

“Wow! Katelyn was great. She handled everything with true professionalism and care. When she came for our meet and greet my toddler son had fallen and injured himself pretty badly so when she arrived he was screaming and there was a decent amount of blood on him and myself. I was obviously flustered and she was super calm and wasn't fazed by me rushing through going over everything. I spent the rest of the night tending to my son and didn't have time to prepare things the way I would've liked to and she still took great care of both of my pups, and they were both happy when I returned home. Thank you again!”

“Kristen was great! Her care of our fur baby was meticulous & she updated us every day with photos. Our home was also respected by her as we noticed almost no difference from when we left it. We are happy to have found such a responsible sitter & hope she is available for our next trip. Five stars in every department!!”

“Jennifer is absolutely incredible. She was so flexible with our wildly last minute request and took such great care of our boys. They were so excited and energized to see us when we returned, not something we can say after visits with all sitters. I cannot recommend Jennifer enough.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
