“10 stars of we could! We were so nervous about leaving our buddy alone while away and Cameron was a God send! Respectful, punctual, and logged detailed messages about every visit he has. Our dog usually doesn't like new people, but loved Cameron! If you're wondering who to choose, Cameron is your guy!”

About: I grew up with multiple Rottweilers which is why I love taking care of dogs, especially bigger breeds. I’ve dog sat for many different friends and family members. I even temporarily fostered a German shepherd who is now living with his forever home. I’m currently working part time, but will be starting a remote job soon which will open my schedule up almost completely for Day sitting or extended-stays even on short notice. I would be able to take your dog out for potty or walks as many times as they need or requested. I make sure to listen and follow any specific instructions that the owner gives me. I know that every dog and cat is different and it’s important to cater to their needs.
About: Dog and cat owner for over 18 years. I also have had hermet crabs and an axolotl - love all animals! They all have a unique personality and it's so fun to get to know them. Just a girl who was not able to have animals as a child so I have an entire adulthood to make up for that surrounding myself with the best creatures out there - animals! We can learn so much as people from animals and showing how we care for animals reflects who we are. I currently am a mom at home with kids in school so I have availability during the day and am flexible for evenings as well. I have a dog, 2 cats and an axolotl. It's important animals feel safe with me so I let them take the lead and I engage with them when they show they are ready. I'm happy to do what you as the client feel comfortable with and need for your fur babies to feel safe and comfortable.

“McKenna is absolutely wonderful! She is highly responsive, communicative, and incredibly flexible with our schedule. It gave us total peace of mind knowing our pup was in such capable and accommodating hands. We will definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her services!”

“Hope was amazing with my dogs! She sent updates and photos every day, and I could tell she really took the time to get to know them. She picked up on their personalities right away and described them perfectly in her updates to me. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in such good hands. I’d definitely recommend her and will book her again!”

“Whitney dropped in and played with our two month old puppy twice while we had an afternoon in Seattle. She was prompt, communicative, reliable and kind. We know Maple felt comfortable with her as we got a photo of her getting some belly rubs- her favorite! Thank you, Whitney!”

“When my other pet sitter fell through last minute, I thought I would have to miss my trip. Luckily, Nickey saved the day. My cats took to her and were well cared for. So glad I found Nickey on Rover!”

“Jennifer is the best! Lily was so well cared for. With daily photos and descriptions of time spent we felt Jennifer went above and beyond. We would recommend her for anyone needing animal care. Thank you Jennifer!!”

“Miranda does an awesome job with my puppy Nella! I feel very comfortable leaving my new, very active puppy, in her experienced hands. She also sends pictures after each walk and detailed reports, which I really appreciate.”
“I would happily recommend Alexandra to anyone! She was so easy to work with, very communicative, timely and reliable. We have a 65 pound Staffy who is high energy (our last dog walker quit cuz she was "to much" for him) and Alexandra was able to work with us and handle her wonderfully! We will continue working with her in the future anytime we need someone to watch our pup. 😊”

“Kristen was great! Her care of our fur baby was meticulous & she updated us every day with photos. Our home was also respected by her as we noticed almost no difference from when we left it. We are happy to have found such a responsible sitter & hope she is available for our next trip. Five stars in every department!!”

“Joslynn showed up a couple of minutes early to walk and check in on Cali, my German shepherd puppy. Cali seemed happy and tired when I arrived home from work. Thank you to Joslynn for not being afraid of the puppy chewing and jumping stage.”

“Cortney helped me out in a pinch and am so grateful for her ability to check on my girl while I was at work and send photos too. Easy to communicate with and updated me with all the information I would want to know. Thank you Courtney!”
“Mary was a lifesaver! She was able to meet and greet same day and confirm booking very quickly. I know she loved on our dogs as if they were her own during our visit! Will definitely be using her for future pet sitting needs!”

“Sarah was a total rock star with Chekhov and Kalinka. She helped troubleshoot all the automatic feeder nonsense that happened. I would have her back to take care of them every single time I go out of town!”

“My kitties adored Marysa, and I had zero worries about them while I was away! I came home to two very relaxed and happy cats, and a clean apartment, which was so nice! Marysa was very communicative the whole time, and made sure to send lots of photos, which helped put my helicopter cat mom mind at ease.”

“Wow! I have to give credit to the first review. Sommer is AMAZING!!!! I agree she maybe wears bacon socks lol. Luna loved her she had a great time with her while we were away im pretty sure she didn't had a chance to missed us. Sommer kept us updated on how Luna was doing and send us alot a pictures of her have so much fun. I will definitely contact her again. Please consider her for taking care of your furrykids they will enjoy every moment with her...”

About: I always had a large dog growing up. Just haven't gotten one of my own. All dogs are welcome, big or small, as long as they are potty trained, and dont chew on shoes or furniture. I am available to make sure they are walked, fed, and let outside throughout the day. There are no children in the house to worry about. The house is small, but full of love. There is nothing that is breakable or dangerous to the dogs. I currently work full time teaching during the morning and day and have free afternoons. I have a roommate who if I am not home can tend to the dogs. There is a safe road to walk down to get the energy out. I am absolutely willing to take dogs to the park if they enjoy car rides.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cathcart. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
