About: Hello animal lovers! I grew up with dogs. First was a Golden Retriever then several Old English Mastiffs to follow. I adore big dogs and know they are gentle giants. I also adore "smaller dogs" too, those under 125lbs (ha!) I have been dog sitting on and off for about 15 years. About me, I'm responsible, mature, reliable and fun, your dog will love me. I'm happy to play fetch or snuggle your pooch, whatever is best for them. I am a care taker by trade so your pup will be in good hands. I am able to spend most of the day with your pup on longer stays. I am looking forward to meeting you and your dog soon! Pet care is my main job right now so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pet whether at home or on a walk. I cannot currently board pets or do doggy day care but am happy to come to your home to care for any of your pets.
“Maria was very communicative and wonderful for our first experience with Rover! She was prompt and sent many pictures and videos. Although our dogs aren't the best at walking on leash, she took them to the dog park and made sure they were exercised and cared for. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

“I have a 13 yo German Wire Haired pointer that due to arthritis is not able to accompany me anymore on long day trips. For the first time, and with no small amount of anxiety, I left him in the care of Hattie for a drop in visit mid-day and a walk. She was kind, caring, prompt and provided photos and a “report” of the walk so that I could enjoy my day away and know my dog was well cared for! Merry Christmas to me!”

“Samah took excellent care of our cats while we were away. Everyday we received photos of them and knew they were being well cared for. Her son even left the most adorable drawings of each cat that are now being proudly displayed on our fridge. You can rest assured that with Samah your pets will be loved as if they are her own.”

“Sherri was such a blessing to have for our senior pup. He warmed up to her right away and enjoyed her company through a week of check-ins. We could not be happier in our choice to have Sherri as our sitter and would have her again in a moments notice. She was prompt, professional, easy to work with, and most importantly she loved on our dog like he was her own. Cannot say enough good things about her!”

“Alyssa did drop-ins for my cats while I was away for a week. I appreciate her sharing how the cats are acting/what they’re up to during her visits in addition to multiple pictures. She continues to be consistent and reliable. Thank you, Alyssa!”

“Kaitlyn has looked after my girls two times now, and as always, they did an amazing job! Both my girls are seniors who have to take medicine, and Kaitlyn always puts me at ease making sure they take their pills. Thanks for taking great care of my bubs!”

“Arielle took excellent care of our three month old puppy, and we’d recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter to check in on their pets! She provided updates and provided photos. We’d definitely book with her again!”

“My second time booked with Shannon. Shannon took great care of my cat, great communication, and sending me pictures for each visit! Thank you so much for taking care of my cat again!”

“Tony is incredibly kind and our good girl just loves her! She has been doing daily drop-ins for us for several years. She is diligent about sending updates during the day and is quick to respond to my communications. I would highly recommend Tony to any pet parent!”

“Heather has been a great help to us as Oliver’s regular sitter. Oliver had gone through some health challenges and Heather has supported him and spent time with him when he needed it most as well as helped with medications when he needed them.”

About: I grew up with cats and dogs and love nothing more than to give fur babies my undivided attention! Since moving to Washington 5 years ago, I’ve been caring for friends/neighbors' pets, taking them on walks, feeding them, playing, and watching them while they are out of town. I just adopted my own mixed pup from Seattle Humane in April; let me spoil your sweet kitties and pups! I can work from home most days, and set my own schedule for the most part, so I am able to take short breaks to take pets on walks or work from another home to make sure the pup or kitty isn't alone for extended periods of time. I imagine pet care fitting easily into the days I work from home. I don't currently have any pets in my home. When it comes to pet sitting, I always make sure to open the door slowly if the pet is loose in the house. I let the pet sniff my hand before attempting to touch them, and give them space if they don't seem to want to interact with me. When it comes to walking, I don't walk with headphones in to make sure I can hear what else is going on nearby. I wouldn't take them near spaces where I know there are likely to be other dogs unless that is requested.
“Jeanie exceeded my expectations as a sitter for our senior cat. She dropped in reliably on the schedule, took care of food and water, as well as a few special requests I had for the house (e.g. bringing packages, turning on the garden water). She even handled a couple of accidents our cat had while we were gone. I really appreciated her care and consideration for our cat, especially during the recent heat wave. I felt like she went above and beyond, and I hope to book her again in the future!”

“LynLee was absolutely amazing! Our dog just loved her!!!! We truly appreciated her stepping in for us, so last minute. She was very communicative and kept us updated on our pup while we were out of town! 5 out 5 for sure!!!! Thank you LynLee for everything!”

“Saint was great with Zoey when we needed a few drop-in visits while I had a busy work week and my partner was out of town. The pictures and frequent updates made us feel like we were there with them, and we know Zoey appreciated making a new friend to play fetch with. Saint communicated well with us throughout the entire process and made our first Rover experience a success. Will not hesitate to have him help take care of Zoey again.”

“Heather did a great job taking care of our crazy cats. We asked for her help only a week before we were leaving town and she had no problem with it. When we got home, nothing felt out of place and our cats were laying around like usual. I'd definitely recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

“Anna is extraordinary! Our pup is just learning about the crate and how to be alone and Anna has been incredible at working with he and supporting me through this tricky time. Singing her praises!”

“Nathan did a great job caring for our special needs dog. He was careful to follow instructions and was very communicative. We will not hesitate to use Nathan for services in the future.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, and caring for animals has always been something that comes naturally to me. I have experience with all kinds of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, chickens, mice, and fish. I’ve also had the privilege of volunteering with the Humane Society for 5 years which has given me even more experience caring for animals with different personalities, needs, and backgrounds. I currently have one dog and two cats of my own, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can truly trust with your pets. To me, pets aren’t just animals—they’re family. ❤️ When your pets are in my care, I treat them with the same love, patience, and attention that I would want for my own. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, whether they need walks, playtime, meals on a specific schedule, medication reminders, lots of cuddles, or simply some company while you’re away. I’m also very comfortable around animals who may be shy, nervous, or need a little extra patience and reassurance. 🐶🐱🐰 I know how hard it can be to leave your pets with someone else, which is why I want to make the experience as stress-free as possible for both you and your pets. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family members are safe, happy, and being well cared for. 📸🐾 I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pets and become someone you can count on whenever they need a loving, trustworthy caregiver. I can’t wait to meet your furry family! 🐾💕 I work fully remote so I will be able to care for your pets Because I work fully remote, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and care throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I’m able to work around your pet’s individual routine, including regular walks, meals, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of love and cuddles. 🐾❤️ Working from home also means I’m often available throughout the day, which makes me a great fit for pets who enjoy having someone around or need extra attention and companionship while their family is away. I care for pets with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own animals. I take the time to learn each pet’s individual routine, personality, and needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. In my home, pets are welcomed into a loving, pet-friendly environment where they can receive plenty of attention, playtime, companionship, and cuddles. I’m happy to maintain their normal feeding, walking, and potty routines as closely as possible. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to follow their established routine and keep their environment clean, safe, and comfortable. I understand that staying in their familiar surroundings can be especially important for pets who may be nervous or anxious. Because I work fully remotely, I’m able to provide frequent companionship and attention throughout the day. I also make sure to keep pet parents updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for.

Carina stepped in on very short notice to care for our cat over Labor Day weekend and we couldn't have been more appreciative. We've worked with her several times now, and she has always done a wonderful job. Carina is a kind, reliable, and conscientious person. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy petsitter.

Maria is wonderful. Extremely professional, extremely communicative, just the kind of pet sitter who eliminates the stress you otherwise have when travelling and leaving your pets at home. I made the reservation through my Rover account, but Maria went above and beyond to also send info & updates to my partner so that my partner could have visibility, which she appreciated so much.

Went on a trip out of town last minute and Emma did an EXCELLENT job watching our kitty! Emma was very communicative and professional throughout the entire process and at all times I felt like our cat was in great hands. Would highly recommend her for future visits!! :)

Allie was so great with my two cats! She’s super reliable, caring, and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. She kept me updated while I was away and I felt totally comfortable knowing they were being well taken care of. I’d definitely recommend Allie to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!

Jamie was amazing!! This is our first time using Rover and we are so happy that we decided to try it out. Our two dogs and cat were so well taken care of when we went on vacation. Also love the fact that Jamie left a handful of pictures in the Rover Card for us to view after each one of her visits. Definitely will use Rover again and hope we can book Jamie the next time we go on vacation!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Meadowdale. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
