“Kyle was Great, and our dog loves him! He really helped us out big time, on short notice, was Totally reliable and always made good communication. We are Grateful for his work with our Pup and would Definitely Recommend him!”

“Lauren was great. My cat Westley is an escape artist. He is sneaky and fast, but Lauren was ahead of his mischievous plans. He doesn't purr for everyone, but he was happy to see her every visit and purred very loudly.”

“(I gave tip in cash) Eric was fabulous! I had total confidence that Billie and Lillie were in good hands. His photos gave me a good insight to how they were adjusting. He played with them with their favorite toys. Both Lillie and Billie warmed up to Eric. His daily report was very complete and he went above and beyond picking up my mail and packages. He has a special affinity and understanding for cats. I highly recommend Eric! FYI .. I didn’t add a tip on Rover because I gave cash. I’m also very impressed and satisfied with Rover.com.”

“Anna was amazing with our 10 week old golden retriever puppy! After our meet and greet I felt at ease knowing she would be checking in with our pup! She played lots with him and shared great photos! We will be asking to have her check in lots!”

“Elaina did a fantastic job taking care of my cat Minnie while I was traveling. She sent detailed daily updates that were thoughtful and informative, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while I was away. She also included photos every day, which I really appreciated. Minnie can be a little shy at first, and Elaina clearly took the time to be patient and earn her trust rather than rushing the process. That meant a lot to me. Communication was always easy and responsive throughout the entire stay. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive sitter.”

“Amy did a tremendous job, our cat Juniper was in amazing hands all 10 days she was here, took out our trash, brought in packages, even cleaned! Highest recommendation, will def book again!”

“Saint *saved the day* by accepting my day-of request to stop in two times for my three dogs. I had never hired anyone to watch my dogs so I was nervous, but Saint let me call and text out all my requests and concerns and he handled it professionally + with care! I will definitely be hiring him again!”

“My cats obviously loved Gargi! My semi-feral, shy Jasper hides from EVERYone, but not from Gargi! She may be the only other person who can pet him. It’s so important to have someone the cats like and trust. I hope Gargi will be available every time I travel.”

“Lily did an amazing job making sure our cat Piper was taken care of while we were away. She was wonderfully communicative, friendly and easy to work with! We couldn’t be happier with the whole experience and would definitely re-book with Lily again!”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life and have had both dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with daily pet care including feeding, walking, playtime, grooming, administering basic medications, and providing lots of love and attention. I currently have a friendly Goldendoodle named Mable who loves meeting other dogs. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your furry family members. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment while you’re away. I’m a kindergarten teacher, so my availability varies throughout the year. During the school year, I primarily offer pet care on weekends, school breaks, and holidays. In the summer, I have much more flexibility and am available throughout the week for boarding, drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting. My schedule allows me to provide dependable care and plenty of attention to your pets, and I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability before booking. Your pet will be staying in a safe, comfortable, and loving home environment. I live in a spacious house that provides plenty of room for pets to relax, play, and feel at ease. While I don’t have a fenced yard, there is a fully fenced park just a short walk from my home where dogs can safely run, explore, and enjoy outdoor time. I also have a friendly Goldendoodle named Mable who is well-socialized and loves having friendly dog companions around. Pets in my care go on multiple walks each day and receive plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision to make sure they feel happy and secure throughout their stay.

I’ve just moved back to the area after 15 wonderful years living abroad in Africa and Europe, and I’m currently figuring out my next step. In the meantime, I’m doing pet care full-time, which means I have lots of flexibility and time to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’ve been a lifelong dog and cat owner and was the trusted sitter for expat families while living abroad. I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds—dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, seniors, and those with special needs. I offer a full range of services: dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and doggy daycare (in your home, not mine). I’m calm, patient, and deeply respectful of your home and your pet’s needs. Your pet’s comfort and safety are always my top priorities. I’ll follow their routine, shower them with love and attention, and keep you updated with messages and photos while you're away. Because I’m not juggling other jobs or commitments, I have the flexibility to provide consistent, attentive care throughout the week, whether it’s regular walks, drop-in visits, or longer stays. I care for pets in their own home, where they’re most comfortable and settled. I stick to their usual routine—whether that’s feeding, walks, medication, or just keeping them company throughout the day. I do my best to make things feel normal and stress-free while you’re away. I also treat your home with care and respect, keeping things tidy and secure. Whether it’s a quick visit or an overnight stay, I make sure your pet gets the attention and comfort they need.

Sara is the absolute best with our kitty! I can tell how happy he is to see her and it brings me so much comfort to know she’s looking after our little guy. ❤️ She gives him wonderful playtime and I can tell it really gets all his energy out—especially all the wand jumping! 😄 The little scavenger hunts are so fun and creative, and such a thoughtful thing to leave for him to give extra stimulation. I couldn’t recommend someone more! 🥰

Nathan was extremely helpful watching my dog, taking him on walks, and spending time with him. Very trustworthy, very kind, follows directions well and keeps you informed which meant a lot to me. He was always punctual and very understanding of my concerns. I will definitely be booking him again!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Edmonds. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
