About: Hi, my name is Amber-rae, I am 22 years old and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — I’ve cared for everything from barnyard animals to beloved family pets since I was 9 years old. Dogs have always been by my side, and I welcomed my very own pup into my life at just 10 years old. But i often care for my mothers dogs, she has 6 of them, four little Havaneese and two giant mastiffs At home our cats have free roam or the house and are only sometimes locked in their bedroom (the bathroom) because that’s where their food and litter box is. They’re given plenty snuggles and love, especially from my daughter, they love to play and cuddle on her bedroom floor. As for a clients animal, I will follow whichever routine is given for each animal (cat or dog) Whether it’s playing fetch, simply feeding them or going for a walk.

About: When your pet stays with me, I want you and them to rest assured that they are part of the family. My goal is to keep your pets routine as close to normal as possible while you are away. I have been pet sitting on Rover for 9 years and have 10+ years experience before that. During that time I have done stays as short as an afternoon to staying at a house for 2 whole months! You can expect frequent updates with pictures while you are away and be able contact if you need anything. I have even done video calls with owners during longer stays! One of my favorite things to do is take dogs on a nice long stroll on nice days. There is a wonderful trail just behind my house that makes for a perfect nature walk. Of course, if your pet prefers to lounge around and play inside, I'm fine with that too! I put a lot of time, and energy into training my dog using positive reinforcement, patience, and treats (lots of treats). I still keep up with the latest methods on dog and cat behavior today. When I pet sit I put that same dedication and commitment towards whomever I am watching. Medication Experience: I am trained in Pet CPR and First Aid -experienced with administering pills and liquid medication -have given more advanced care but would like a run through with you prior to the stay My House and Neighborhood: I am a half mile away from the Kingston ferry, which is about a 2 minute drive from the time you get off to my house. I live on the 3rd floor of a condo building which provides a large grass yard to play in as well as 2 patios for any pet that enjoys some fresh air. There is a walking trail behind where I live and I am a 15 minute walk to the beach. My Pets: I have 2 cats that are both very friendly with other animals. They love to play with other kitties and tend to give dogs their space. My house is cat-ified with cat trees galore, window sills to peer out of, tunnels to hide in and scratch posts to well.. scratch. I work from home 3 days a week (Tues, Thur, Fri) and go into Seattle for work Mon and Wed. I leave the house at 8:15 and get home around 6:00pm. If your pet needs me to be home sooner I can be home as soon as 4:15pm. During the work from home days I will be able to take pets out on potty breaks, give meals, do short walks, and give some cuddles and play time. Keeping harmony and peace in my home is a top priority for me and I am always very aware of what all the critters are up to while I am home. In the event of your pet being uncomfortable I am able to provide them their own private room as well as put some pet gates up give the cats a place to escape to. Introductions and interactions with my pets will always be supervised until I know everyone is comfortable.

About: We are committed to providing a clean and safe environment for all of our canine guests. Your pup will have all the features of a larger facility but with the comfort of a home feel. Dogs have a total 2,200 SqFt of play area. Our indoor play area is connected to a fully turfed yard, allowing dogs to run in and out as they please. We monitor the dogs throughout the space to ensure their safety and well-being. Our daycare hours are 9am-5pm on weekdays and offer boarding both on weekends and weekdays. We also offer drop ins for cat care. We have two well mannered and calm husky/malamute mixes to keep all the pups company. We also have a new puppy who plays with our high energy visitors! We ensure all the dogs (and cats) are well taken care of during their stay. We work from home and tend to be home for most of the day. We love dogs and have an interest in dog training and canine first aid, and we self-trained Ghost and Akira to be fully trained service animals. I work at a local restaurant but my shifts aren’t long, at most I’ll be out of the house for five to six hours. I love getting to know each pet, what their needs are, and how to best meet those needs while I care for them. If tons of love and snuggles are required I’m happy to oblige, but I also understand the different boundaries of each individual animal and how to navigate them to earn trust. My dog Pongo gets 4-5 walks per day, some are sniff walks for mental exercise, and others are to throw a stick in the woods for him to let some energy out.

About: You know when they say some people are "pet whisperers?" Yeah, that's kind of me. lol I have been born and raised around animals and have had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 rats, 1 hamster, hermit crabs, fish, and a bearded dragon as an adult. I'm currently a full-time nursing student in an online-accelerated nursing program so I'm basically studying all day - which makes me the perfect pet/house-sitter...I'm always around! There is usually one day a week that I'm gone for 5 or 6 hours so your pets would need to be ok with being alone for a bit, but other than that, I'm around to give them all the loves and snuggles and belly rubs they desire! As mentioned above, I'm a full-time nursing student so I pretty much just sit at my laptop and do homework/study all day. I usually have 1 or 2 days per week that I have to be in-person for labs and clinical and those days typically are about 4-5 hours per day. Otherwise, I'm here for your pet(s)! As a pet owner myself, I know the importance of keeping a pet safe and loved! I would never take a pet to an unleashed/unfenced area - I would always keep them leashed or make sure it was a fully secure area that your pet already knows (your local fenced dog park for example). I recognize that some pets take a little time to warm up so I would give them the space and time to warm up, and accept me, on their terms - never forcing them to be by buddy. :)
