“I feel confident when I leave for work that my dog Gemma is in great hand with Karen, Karen is a great communicator, and responsive to request to care for you pet. I’m fortunate to have found her on Rover!”

“Ashley has been to let my pups out a few times now and she is wonderful! Communicates well and asks all the important questions, and she seems genuinely happy to have my pups be part of her day.”

“Natasha does an exceptional job caring for my dog, Sloan! She goes above and beyond during every drop-in visit, incorporating puppy training seamlessly into their play and care time. I’m always impressed by how well she adjusts to Sloan’s needs each day—whether that means extra exercise, mental stimulation, or just some calm companionship. Natasha literally speaks dog—I’m convinced she’s a true dog whisperer. Her understanding of canine behavior and her gentle, confident approach make all the difference. As a nurse with a busy and unpredictable schedule, it gives me such peace of mind knowing Sloan is in her capable and loving hands. I couldn’t recommend Natasha more highly!”

“Tom was amazing! Usually when we are away Gus protests by not eating or being skiddish. He seemed so happy. Tom was super responsive and let us know everything we needed to know about Gus while we were away.”

“Anna is our favorite dog walker (and our pups as well)! She is a quick and helpful communicator making booking super easy. She sends lovely photos and updates. And most importantly, our high maintenance pups love her. So glad to have found such a trusted dog walker.”

About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life, and am currently a dog mom to my wonderful fur baby. Throughout the years I have been entrusted to go to peoples houses and care for their dogs, take care of dogs in my own home, and have even been entrusted to care for newborn puppies until they were old enough to go to their homes. I have a special place in my heart for dogs, and I absolutely love any opportunity to meet all kinds of new furry friends and personalities!
“Lisa is fabulous - she’s looked after our cats for years! She’s really knowledgeable, kind, and is super attentive to our kitties. She keeps us notified about how our kitties are doing and sends the best photos. She has our highest recommendation - will rebook as always for future trips!”

I will listen to your animals.

“Mary-Elizabeth is a wonderful sitter! She has stopped by to check on our small dog and cat when we were out of town twice now. They love her and so do we: she’s timely, communicative, and clearly great with animals. We feel safe and comfortable knowing Mary-Elizabeth is checking on our boys when we are away. We highly recommend her!”

About: Lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience! I grew up with multiple dogs and have spent years walking and caring for pets, including overnight stays. I’m comfortable with different routines, energy levels, and personalities—and I always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. Mondays–Wednesdays are my off days and my most flexible time. I work Thursday–Sunday afternoons starting around 2, and my mornings are usually reserved for staying active—walks, workouts, or anything that gets me moving. I don’t have pets currently, but I’ve grown up caring for family and friends’ dogs and I’m comfortable with most breeds, prioritizing calm, safe, attentive care.

“Bevin is a jewel! My two cats took to her right away and she sent several photos during her visits and notes about how they were doing. She also kept them safe, even though they have developed some escapist tendencies in our new home. Will definitely book again!”

About: I have dog sat for a handful of people over the years. Some new clients and some faithful returning ones that become family friends. Some have needed medication and lots of walks, some just needed a friend, I love doing anything/everything. I do not currently own any pets and would love to be outside and more active. I would be available to do walks/drop ins around 3:30pm-9pm Monday-Thursday and most times Fridays-Sundays. Dog sitting availability depends on needs and pet schedule but please reach out about anything! I have worked with crates, dog doors, or dogs being inside all day and need walks/potty breaks. I hope we can work something out between us and your loved fur baby.
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for cats, dogs, reptiles, and even koi fish. I specialize in earning the trust of shy and sensitive animals, including feral and rescued cats, senior pets, and anxious dogs. I’ve bottle-fed kittens, provided comfort care to elderly animals, and supported a large outdoor cat colony with love and patience. What sets me apart is my calm, intuitive presence and deep understanding of animal behavior. I customize care to your pet’s specific needs—whether that’s playtime, peaceful companionship, medication support, or senior care. I’m retired from a career in IT, so I’m reliable, communicative, and available with a flexible schedule. I’ll treat your pets like family and your home with the utmost respect. I’m retired and have the flexibility to dedicate my time fully to pet care. My daily routine already revolves around feeding, observing, and nurturing animals. Most of the animals I care for are rescues with unique needs, so I’m experienced with medications, vet visits, and creating a calm, nurturing environment.
About: When your pet stays with me, I want you and them to rest assured that they are part of the family. My goal is to keep your pets routine as close to normal as possible while you are away. I have been pet sitting on Rover for 9 years and have 10+ years experience before that. During that time I have done stays as short as an afternoon to staying at a house for 2 whole months! You can expect frequent updates with pictures while you are away and be able contact if you need anything. I have even done video calls with owners during longer stays! One of my favorite things to do is take dogs on a nice long stroll on nice days. There is a wonderful trail just behind my house that makes for a perfect nature walk. Of course, if your pet prefers to lounge around and play inside, I'm fine with that too! I put a lot of time, and energy into training my dog using positive reinforcement, patience, and treats (lots of treats). I still keep up with the latest methods on dog and cat behavior today. When I pet sit I put that same dedication and commitment towards whomever I am watching. Medication Experience: I am trained in Pet CPR and First Aid -experienced with administering pills and liquid medication -have given more advanced care but would like a run through with you prior to the stay My House and Neighborhood: I am a half mile away from the Kingston ferry, which is about a 2 minute drive from the time you get off to my house. I live on the 3rd floor of a condo building which provides a large grass yard to play in as well as 2 patios for any pet that enjoys some fresh air. There is a walking trail behind where I live and I am a 15 minute walk to the beach. My Pets: I have 2 cats that are both very friendly with other animals. They love to play with other kitties and tend to give dogs their space. My house is cat-ified with cat trees galore, window sills to peer out of, tunnels to hide in and scratch posts to well.. scratch. I work from home 3 days a week (Tues, Thur, Fri) and go into Seattle for work Mon and Wed. I leave the house at 8:15 and get home around 6:00pm. If your pet needs me to be home sooner I can be home as soon as 4:15pm. During the work from home days I will be able to take pets out on potty breaks, give meals, do short walks, and give some cuddles and play time. Keeping harmony and peace in my home is a top priority for me and I am always very aware of what all the critters are up to while I am home. In the event of your pet being uncomfortable I am able to provide them their own private room as well as put some pet gates up give the cats a place to escape to. Introductions and interactions with my pets will always be supervised until I know everyone is comfortable.
About: I have been taking care of dogs from a very young age, and I have been a professional sitter and boarder for a little over 3 years now. I recently moved to the area and am looking to rebuild my clientele. I am an animal advocate who has spent a lot of time volunteering with different agencies to help find forever homes for abandoned fur babies, and working for programs that went out and helped the homeless get the right care for their pets. I have experience with hyper pets, shy pets, large and small. I love them all the same. Let me spoil your babies while you’re away, and take comfort in knowing that they are safe and loved with me. I am currently an online student and doing a part time work from home job, so I will be home and available for them all day besides appointments or errands I have a large fenced yard that I make sure to walk the perimeter of to make sure there are no escape points. I also have a huge deck for them to lounge on and they have free roam of my home. I do have a toddler in the home, she is very shy with animals and has grown up learning the importance of being gentle and nonintrusive with them.
About: I am home full time with a large beautiful fenced yard and an English Labrador that loves to play. I only book one client at a time so they get treated like family. No kennels and no concerns about being around unknown dogs. Buckaroo is also very well behaved with older dogs that do not want to play! I am home full time, available for boarding and daycare. Daily walks included as well as time in the yard to play. I only accept one client at a time so there is less stress and they are treated like family. I have a large fenced yard as well as my own dog that loves to play. Your dog will be with me throughout the day both inside and out. Mine likes to follow me everywhere. Velcro Dog! Your fur baby will be treated the same as mine! Because I have both a cat and dog in the home I cannot accept any dogs with aggressive behavior. Please keep this in mind when requesting boarding. All boarding request will require a meet and greet to insure safety. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
