I’ve visited and walked dogs at their homes, and also taken care of many cats, including my own squad that was once up to 5 senior kitties (all needing medications or insulin) at once. I currently have a flexible schedule during the week and often on weekends. I can do longer duration sitting (for instance, you go on vacation) with advance notice.
