“Anne and her family were amazing with my dog Emma. They sent daily updates and pictures of their activities. I was so pleased to see how she adapted well to the girls and their dog. I will definitely be using their services in the future.”

“Colleen took great care of my dog while we were away. Unfortunately we had a funeral to attend so Colleen only had a few days between my request and my dog's stay. Colleen was responsive and good married about the last minute request. She sent pictures and kept us well informed (though I was much less responsive to her texts!) From the pictures I could tell my dog was comfortable, well settled, and well taken care of.”

“Finding sitters who truly care about your dog is tough, but Kelly and Karen exceeded all expectations. Tony is usually a bit anxious, but Kelly makes him feel better. Their communication was excellent, and gave me update(pic/vidoes)about Tony during i was on my vacation. Thank you both for taking such wonderful care of my boy…”

“Denise was an absolute rockstar with my dog Willie! He’s a slower senior boy that is particular about things and it seems like he really settled in and enjoyed his stay with her. She followed up with questions and updates throughout the weekend and I felt completely at ease that he was in good hands. Will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”
“Izzy and her family are amazing (and that includes their Doodle, Mickey)! My dog has anxiety about new experiences, and they really helped her feel welcome, comfortable, and safe during her first visit to their home.”
“My husky, Shadow LOVES going to Nathan’s! When we drop him off, he doesn’t even look back at us- he goes straight to Nathan’s beautiful backyard to run and play. I honestly feel like Shadow is going on his own vacation when he stays with Nathan. He is so good with Shadow, great with communication, sends lots of pictures! He’s always the first person I contact when I need someone to care for Shadow!”

“We cannot appreciate Sarah's willingness to help and flexibility enough. We needed care for our fur baby ammu while dealing with an emergency; and Sarah was so thoughtful and accommodative of our needs even with multiple last minute changes in plans. She ensured Ammu was happy and comfortable throughout; which gave us much needed assurance and peace or mind.”

“Kara and Don were great! I felt super comfortable leaving Chomsky with them while I was out of town and they were great about asking questions about his food, sending pictures, and keeping me updated while I was away. My dog Chomsky was clearly happy with them, and since he often gets anxious staying with new people it was obvious that they were really good at making him feel comfortable and at home. I would highly recommend them!”

About: My best friends are my pets, Iggy Azalea (cockapoo) and Dusty Bottoms (orange tabby cat). I have experience pet sitting for clients for over 3 years on Rover. I also have experience working at Downtown Dog Lounge daycare and boarding in Ballard. I also volunteer at the Redlands Animal Shelter and am fostering a 12-year old Australian cattle dog, named Stitch. I love being playful with animals and making sure that they are having a fun time! I’m a 23-year old recent college graduate with a degree in computer science, pursuing my passion for technology while doing gig-work with animals on the side. I love to create a positive and comfortable environment with the dogs that I interact with. Getting to know different dogs is an amazing feeling that brings me so much joy. I have experience with puppies, elderly animals, feral animals, and animals with physical disabilities (blindness, deafness, decreased mobility, uncontrolled bladder).
“We couldn't be happier with the care our pups received. Lauren and Tarmo are genuinely kind and attentive. From daily updates with multiple photos of our dogs we felt completely at ease while we were away. We would absolutely book again!”

“Only was in Seattle for a short period of time and managed to be a repeat customer with Jessica! Her and her partner were fantastic to my pup. I don’t trust him staying with basically anyone but me so that’s a huge compliment. They made me wish I lived in Seattle permanently! Great communication, great yard and care of my dog! Thank you both for everything!!!! Best wishes.”

“Savannah was the best dog sitter our little pup could have hoped for. She was able to give him all the attention he needed and was even able to help work on some new skills with him that we had talked to her about. Her dogs were also very good with our dog and we can already tell he wants to visit all of them again. We also very much appreciated all of the updates, photos, and videos along the way. We would definitely board with Savannah again.”

About: I admit that I'm new to Rover.com but I cared for my beloved Chloe (60 lb dog) for 16 years and also dog sat for my best friend when she went out of town. Safety is incredibly important to me and I have a fully fenced, private back yard that would love to host your canine family member. I am retired now so can set my own schedule. I am home most of the time but do typically leave the house for an hour or so to exercise each day. When I'm pet sitting, your special pet will be my top priority and I will be able to work my schedule around their needs and your expectations. I have a large, fully fenced, private back yard. I do not require that your pet be crate trained as my dog (she passed away in 2024) was never crate trained. I'm ok with you simply bringing over their dog bed, but if they sleep in a crate, that's fine too. My home's environment is very safe and offers room to roam when they're outside. The one fence line that has a gap between the bottom of the fence and the ground has been covered with wire mesh so even a small dog cannot get out. As a retired person, I'm able to walk your dog as many times / day as you request. As mentioned above, they'll also be free to roam the backyard and I will be with them during that time.
“Sheena took great care of my dog, Uno. She handled introductions between Uno and her own dog really well. She updated me with photos, and Uno looked like he was having a great time. It was clear he was in good hands and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Sheena to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog sitter.”

“Stacey and her family did a wonderful job taking care of our two year old English Springer Spaniel. I loved that they had a big fenced yard and that he had a lot of outside time, and we received a few photo updates over the weekend. Will definitely use Stacey and Taylor again!”

“Rosa and Jacob took such great care of Dory! Taking her to the vet and giving her medication. Thank you so much for sending me videos and pictures to update me. Will definitely use them again!”

“Luke took amazing care of my two anxious dogs. He sent photos and updates on how they were doing, and we were happy with his level of attentiveness toward them. They came home tired and calm, didn’t seem distressed. Would definitely recommend him for boarding services!”

“I felt comfortable boarding my dog overnight with Christina. She was friendly, sent lots of pictures, and my dog looked to have a great time playing with her dog.”

Amber was amazing with my cats, Nori and Eloise! My cat Nori has epilepsy and has been on a journey with medication for the past few weeks and Amber made the entire situation stress-free and eased our worries. She knew exactly how to best administer Nori‘s medication and gave the cats a lot of love during their stay! We will definitely be booking Amber again for future trips.

Beth is amazing! We feel so comfortable and confident having her watch our two Aussies. This past week we had Beth watch both of our Aussies at the same time, and it went great. We received regular updates, photos and videos, and reassurance that things were going smoothly. The girls looked like they were having so much fun, it’s so nice to see them be in great hands together. We were nervous to have someone watch them both at the same time since we usually get separate rovers for them since they can be a handful and have different needs but we felt confident trying it out with Beth and we were so glad we did. We couldn’t recommend Beth enough! She is awesome.

Ana has been heaven sent for our 10yo dog with separation anxiety. She has a calm, nurturing presence and he is happy to see her when we drop him off. She sends detailed daily updates, which put my mind at ease. When we return, we know we’re getting back a well rested, happy pup.

Melonie & Ryan were great! We left our dog Kingsley for a week and he was very happy! They updated us throughout the week with pictures, it was nice seeing him having fun while we were missing him! It was nice that they watch other dogs as well so he has others to run around with! If we need to have him stay somewhere again, they are our first choice!

Christine took great care of Penny while we were away! Penny got lots of walks and ate well which is a sign she was comfortable and happy despite her separation anxiety. Christine was very friendly, flexible, and communicated with us everyday about Penny, sharing pics/video which we appreciated! Will definitely reach back out to Christine to care for Penny in the future.

Jose took Raffle to the dog park, swimming, and made sure he had lots of fun and exercise. Raffle looked very happy playing and enjoying his time with Jose. We really appreciated Jose’s care, attention, and effort to keep Raffle active and comfortable. Would definitely recommend him!

5/5 ⭐ — Viktoriia is an absolute gem! She sent constant updates throughout Charlie's stay, which gave me total peace of mind. He came home completely wiped out — the best sign that he had the time of his life! She clearly gives each dog dedicated, one-on-one attention, and it shows. I'll 100% be booking her again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter who truly cares.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
