Greetings, (I ask that the dogs I watch be vaccinated, house trained, and compatible with other dogs. Please, no aggressive dogs.). I’m a semi-retired public school teacher of 20 years. People trusted me to care for their children and you can trust me to take care of your dogs. I specialize in small dog staycations. For many years, I’ve pet sat for families and have boarded dogs in my home. Every animal I’ve ever cared for has been returned to its owner happy and healthy. My priorities are to keep every dog safe, secure and happy. I prefer to watch no more than three dogs.

Daisy had another wonderful stay with Nancy! She was a bit nervous to be left behind, but Nancy soon reassured me with photos of her and news of her settling in. I think Johnny, Nancy’s dog, is also the most generous host, sharing his toys and helping Daisy to feel comfortable!
Nancy is the best. Our first long trip away from our dog and she put us right at ease. Consistent and great communication. Provided a great, safe and fun place for our dog to stay while we were away.

My dog Daisy loved staying with Nancy, and her dog Johnny! Daisy can take a bit to warm up to other dogs but Nancy did an amazing job of introducing them so that Daisy felt comfortable in the home, and they played together with Johnny’s toys every day. Nancy sent multiple updates with photos and videos each day which made me so happy. Most amazingly of all, Nancy was able to accommodate my travel home being delayed by a whole day due to a storm, and kept Daisy an extra night with no stress or complications, making it the easiest part of dealing with cancelled flights and delayed travel. I was totally confident Daisy was in good hands and that she was genuinely happy in Nancy’s home, and that was huge!

Schedule
I am usually available 24/7. I’m with the dogs all of the time unless I have a quick errand to run. I spend lots of time reassuring dogs that may have separation anxiety.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced, private, protected yard. I escort dogs in and out of the house. They are never outside alone. Clients enjoy daily walks, lots of cuddles, kisses, playtime and naps in front of a warm fire. I enjoy having dogs sit in my lap or next to me when I’m working on my computer. For the most part, I prefer to care for only a couple dogs at a time, so my home will be a quiet, low stress environment for your pet.

A typical day
Ill take the dogs for a minimum of one walk a day around my neighborhood. I usually go 1 or 2 miles, but will be happy to adjust the distance to your dogs needs. There is also a dog park which we could visit if that is something you think your dog would enjoy.
