“My pup Tullie had a great stay with Nikki and her pup Walter! Nikki was so accommodating of any specific needs for Tullie, very communicative, and sent some fun photos each day of their adventures. Tullie is also a pretty high energy dog but Nikki was able to take her on several walks during her stay and had plenty of toys for playing. I’m super thankful of Nikki and of her care for Tullie!”

“Sarah and her family took the best care of our pup. She loved the other resident dogs, and got to sleep in the bed and get all her usual treats. They were also really good with her anxiety. We definitely recommend Sarah!”

“Theresa went above and beyond taking care of my dog. Shes very communicative and genuine. My dog was sick while staying with her and she was on top of it! Will definitely continue to reach to her for care in the future!”

“Debra is so caring and we know our Peanut is in amazing hands whenever she takes care of her. We love all the updates and the special attention to detail.”

“As always, Megan & Jeff took great care of our dogs while we were away for a long trip. We received daily updates, lots of photos, and our dogs are so happy to stay in their caring home.”

“Brenda was super sweet and communicative throughout my pup’s weekend stay. I received several picture updates of Koda eating, cuddling, and going on walkies. Felt that my pup was in great care and would book again!”

“Casie is amazing! She was so sweet and took great care of my girl! She sent daily updates and pictures, her dog cognac was such a nice boy and played with my girl so good. I will be only using Casie from now on!”

“Tracy took excellent care of my reactive GSD and kept me updated on how she was doing, and was very proactive asking about what she can/can't do; I would have her watch Hyrri again without question. I was nervous leaving Hyrri with a stranger for the first time but have no concerns now.”

“Sharon was just the perfect dog sitter. She was responsive, reliable, and truly enjoyed her time with Bella, which brought us great relief as we had nothing to worry about. We were most grateful and would certainly rebook.”

“Sheena took great care of my dog, Uno. She handled introductions between Uno and her own dog really well. She updated me with photos, and Uno looked like he was having a great time. It was clear he was in good hands and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Sheena to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog sitter.”

“Maria was fantastic with our dog Kiki. She sent updates multiple times per day and it seemed like our dog loved her time with her! She was great at working with us on Kiki’s schedule and making sure she got all her medications. Would love definitely recommend and use in the future!”

“I highly recommend Laure & Matthew! Their house is on a quiet street with a big backyard and I received pictures and updates daily. My dog, Gracie, is a rescue with a few issues - she has 3 legs, is food obsessive, has a high prey drive for squirrels, and doesn’t like to walk on wood floors (lol). They worked with all of her quirks and I knew she was well taken care of. In the future, I will rebook with Laure/Matthew to watch Gracie anytime I’m out of town - I’ve already rebooked for next weekend!”

“Matthew is a gem! He was able to watch our 10 month old puppy on short notice and she had a blast staying with him. He sent us lots of updates and super cute pictures throughout her stay and took amazing care of her. We got home to a happy puppy who’s even a little cuddlier than before :). We will definitely book with Matthew again. Highly recommend!”

“Zoey just finished a 10 day stay with Tanya and Mango and she had a blast! Her and Mango get along so great and now Zoey is depressed at home and missing her friend. Tanya sent photos, was responsive, and so accommodating when I wanted to extend my stay. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog seemed to have fun time running around in the yard and made friends with multiple dogs during his stay. Connor was great about providing daily updates and we will be back for future stays.”

“Elizabeth was amazing with our reactive dog Chicken. She is extremely kind, communicative, and reliable. Chicken is an Aussie and they can be selective with new people and she did great with Elizabeth and her family. She sent regular updates and photos which was super helpful. I can tell Chicken feels really comfortable and well taken care of when she’s at Elizabeth’s.”

“Brianna was fantastic with Dune. She kept me updated with frequent pictures and videos. He was playing, napping, and didn’t appear stressed or anxious at all. Overall, she did an excellent job! Thank you.”

“This was Shadow's second stay with Jenn and he was so excited upon arrival I don't think he noticed when I left. I got plenty of pictures and updates and Shadow look like he's having a great time. I highly recommend Jenn.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Suquamish
Thank goodness I found Michelle, she provides a calm, spacious and secure environment. My dogs love it there- dog beds and toys all over the place. She is very competent, and I am 100% at ease leaving my pups with her. My dog Littles has a ton of triggers, and Michelle provides a relaxing environment for her. In addition I am confident that if Littles (who is a staffy) did have a manic episode Michelle could handle it.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
