“Michael was an amazing sitter for my dog and communicator for me!! We had a last minute schedule change and were traveling to Seattle unexpectedly. Michael was so helpful and accommodating to make this work with less notice than usual! He was prompt and communicative sending me pictures of Sox updates along the way. His dog Ellie was very chill and seemed to get along with Sox great. I definitely would (and will!) work with Michael again!”

“Always happy Winston is with Sofia when we are away! Sofia accommodates our schedule so well and takes the best care of Winston. It has been a great match for everyone!”

“The pups had an amazing time with Tim and he was able to watch them on such short notice! I got updates throughout the stay which was really nice to see while away. Would definitely book again in the future!”

“Tanya was awesome!! So sweet and accommodating and a great all-around person. She sent lots of pictures and I could tell Zoey had a blast. Already have my next stay booked. Thank you!”

“This was our 2nd booking with Danielle & Joy and they were wonderful once again! They even went and bought some food for our finicky eater when we suggested it and were very careful to only get what we recommended. It's so comforting to know our little old man is in good hands when we travel.”
“Lorelei is the best -- she takes such good care of Daisy when we go on a trip. I can see how relaxed and happy she is in the pictures and videos Lorelei sends ❤️”

“Debra takes such great care of our dog, we always know she's in good hands with her. Debra's updates and attention to detail are incredible. Best pet sitter we've had!”

“Diane took great care of Celine and at the very, very last minute so I could go on a quick overnight getaway. She took her to the dog park, took care of her special old lady needs, and sent awesome photos and videos. Celine’s been snoozing ever since we got home, a sign of a good time :)”

“Maria was so wonderful with Poppy! She sent frequent updates and was very quick to respond to messages. She took Poppy on daily walks and made sure she got enough exercise. I felt very safe leaving Poppy with Maria and will definitely have Maria watch Poppy again.”

“Vadzim was great with my sweet girl Lucy. He sent lots of photos, and was very communicative. My pup is very clingy and requires lots of cuddles and I feel very confident that she got that while I was away. Would highly recommend!”

“Pickle didn't want to leave because he had so much fun! Casie was very knowledgeable about dogs and took great care of our boy. She even gave him a bath because he was so muddy from playing all week. Would definitely recommend her to anyone and would definitely use her services again.”

“Amazing experience with Tomas. He was super communicative, thorough, and sent us tons of pictures. Incredibly nice and thoughtful guy who clearly loves animals and is educated on how to properly care for them. Our dog Goose came home in amazing spirits before plopping on the couch and snoring the night away. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you!”

“Cant even keep count of how many times my pup has stayed with Matt and it never fails that she comes home happy as heck and also super tired from playing with all the other pups. She loves it and i’ll keep going to Matt without a doubt :)”

About: I have had pets my entire life dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. I am comfortable around every type of dog, however prefer to sit smaller dogs up to 25lbs. I have a mini dachshund who is 16 years old, who misses having friends around. I am familiar with puppies through seniors. I do work from home 4 days a week. Currently I have an unfenced yard, I use retractable leashes to maintain safety when outside. Your fur-baby will get daily walks and plenty of love. I work from home 4 days a week, giving me the opportunity to give your pet plenty of attention in an adults only home with one dog for companion time. We do daily walks around the neighborhood, in a wooded area or at Manchester state park. I don’t currently have a fenced yard, outdoor time will be on retractable leashes for potty breaks, time on the fenced deck, and daily walks using your pets regular leash. Should pets need to be left home unattended I will ensure everyone is in safe, separate locations close enough companionship but not mischief. Safety and well cared for is my goal.
“It was my dog's first time boarding since I adopted him in January. He was so excited to see Kha and even happier to be able to run around a big yard with her dogs. Kha took great care of Wolfgang, treated him like he was past of their family and sent me lots of pictures and videos of his time there.”

“This is the second time Kira has stayed with Gabby and I was a little nervous just because we have never been away from Kira for this long of a trip. Well Kira had such a good time she didn’t want to come home! Gabby checked in and sent pics often of Kira with the biggest smile on her face. Thank you Jameson, Gabby & Evan!”

“Adrienne cared for my poodle mix for 4 nights, and was amazing! She was the first sitter I've used, so I wasn't sure what to expect. My dog tends to be nervous in new settings, but Adrienne was very accommodating and cared for my pup like one of her own. She also sent me tons of pictures while I was out of town. The next time I'm away, Adrienne will be my first choice for dog sitting!”

“Mariel and Matthew are fantastic sitters! I feel confident my dog is in great hands when he stays with them. He gets his exercise, his medication and best of all, I get pictures of my sweet doggy while I’m out of town! 😊”

“It was our first time leaving our newly adopted pup with a rover sitter and I’m so glad we went with Kyah! She’s been very understanding and accommodating and our dog felt it too. :) He quickly bonded to them and their pup, I got frequent updates, it was a very nice experience. The next stay is already booked. :)”

Emma was a breeze to work with! She communicated often and timely, she was warm and kind with me and my dog, and she went out of her way to accommodate us. Emma spent the time to meet Izzy and ensure her pups and mine were a good match. She sent lots of photos while we were away and I was confident my dog was in good hands the whole time. I would not hesitate to book Emma again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
