“Brianna was fantastic with Dune. She kept me updated with frequent pictures and videos. He was playing, napping, and didn’t appear stressed or anxious at all. Overall, she did an excellent job! Thank you.”

“Jill took wonderful care of our pup. He can be slow to warm up to people and she was very patient and knowledgable with how to approach him to make him feel comfortable. Jill provided updates and pictures every day and he was clearly happy and well taken care of when we picked him up. I will definitely be asking her to care for our little guy again!”

“Dani and Joy have watched my dog twice now. Once for several days as a super emergency and just recently for a planned stay. Both times they’ve been so attentive and caring with my pup who’s been on meds and can be quite needy. So appreciative of them for taking good care of my baby!”

“It was so nice knowing & trusting Rob with my Nala girl for a week! We kept in constant contact & he sent me daily pictures of what she was up to. This was a great experience & I would definitely book through his family again. Thank you so much! You’re awesome!”

“Devan was excellent with Pepper, and was extremely meticulous in his communication. We received constant text and photo updates during his stay and that’s one of the most important qualities when caring for a pet.”

“Jessica and her family take good care of Frida the four days we were out of town. She sent a lot of pics and videos and Frida had lots of fun playing with her dog Taro! We’ll definitely contact her to sit Frida in the future!”

“Vadzim was great with my sweet girl Lucy. He sent lots of photos, and was very communicative. My pup is very clingy and requires lots of cuddles and I feel very confident that she got that while I was away. Would highly recommend!”

“Lorelei was extremely flexible for our hectic holiday schedule. She was quick with her responses and took care of Dani just like her own pup. I highly recommend Lorelei to take care of your dog!”

“Jill and Jacob were great with my puppy Piper. She has a lot of puppy energy and they seemed to manage it well. Communication was great, and I received lots of videos and pictures.”

“Maria is amazing! She had taken such great care of our chihuahuas. She was very flexible with pick up and drop off. She sent us multiple pics and always gave status updates. She was very welcoming and we appreciate her, will definitely book again!”

“Our 40 pound aussiedoodle, Pico, seemed to have a great weekend at Timothy’s. Having another pup to play with around Pico’s size was a huge bonus. Pico came home happy and clean!”

“Holy cow, everyone, can I just say that this guy went above and beyond, and has so much attention he gives to the animals when he around. Marlowe was going on walks, being loved on, played with, and tended to of every minute he was there. Furthermore, my dog is a senior and has digestive issues, and Marden went so far as to actually grind up his food with cooked rice for him, which made him obviously way more calm. The part that really struck me when I got home was that my dog was immediately calm. He was so ready to see me and normally, he is really anxious, but it was like he was so ready to relax and be calm with me. I am truly impressed and would definitely use Marden more than once, like forever again.”
“Jess was more than accommodating for us. Our sweet boy does not do well with other dogs, and she was able to come to our house and help out with him. This was a last minute change and Jess was super flexible. Not only that she did a great job taking care of him. Would def book Jess again.”
“Ruslana did a wonderful job with our little Bear. He looked so happy and contented in all the pictures that she sent to us and we really appreciated her active care of him. Ruslana went above and beyond with Bear’s care. We had wanted Bear to be all cleaned up for Ruslana, so we had him bathed and groomed before dropping him off. The Groomer had shaved Bear’s face too closely and had scraped his skin. Ruslana was attentive to his needs and notified us very quickly. She proposed getting a cone to keep him from scratching so he could heal up. After talking this thru, she ordered the cone and cared for all his needs. We are extremely happy with all Ruslana did for our BearBear and would give her our highest possible recommendation. Sally and Doug Thimm 801-699-7507”

“My dog loved Don! He took such good care of my girl. Lots of walks, lots of pets, lots of updates. I felt very comfortable leaving her in his hands. I’d definitely look to book with him again.”

“Tanya has been so sweet and sending regular photos and update. Punhu was well taken care of and came home even with a bath already. Will recomand Tanya and will book again for sure.”
“Anna was great! She was really communicative and so accommodating, especially on short notice. Dakota warmed up to her quickly and also got along really well with her dog, Cooper. I felt completely comfortable leaving Dakota with her and would definitely book with Anna again.”

Emma was a breeze to work with! She communicated often and timely, she was warm and kind with me and my dog, and she went out of her way to accommodate us. Emma spent the time to meet Izzy and ensure her pups and mine were a good match. She sent lots of photos while we were away and I was confident my dog was in good hands the whole time. I would not hesitate to book Emma again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
