“We are extremely happy with the care our pet sitter and this wonderful family . From the moment we met them, we felt reassured, and they truly exceeded our expectations. They took such loving and thoughtful care of Prince, treating him like their own. He was not just looked after, but genuinely happy—getting plenty of exercise with runs, lots of affection, and constant attention. We especially appreciated how neat and clean they kept him and all his belongings. Their beautiful gals took wonderful care. Prince can be a bit of a fussy eater and needs some encouragement during mealtime, but they handled that with great patience and care, making sure he was well-fed and comfortable. They truly went above and beyond, taking care of him even more than we had asked. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. We would absolutely recommend them and will definitely be going back to them again!”

“Bevan is such a great human. My dog is a great dog. Good match. My go-to dog sitters for long trips, Bevan and her husband are a team that creates flexibility to match my schedule.”

“Our dog seemed to have fun time running around in the yard and made friends with multiple dogs during his stay. Connor was great about providing daily updates and we will be back for future stays.”

“LaCoda and Levi are lovely people and wonderful hosts. From the beginning, they were responsive, communicative, and thoughtful—sending regular updates and photos that gave us peace of mind while we were away. They created a warm and welcoming environment for Lily, and it was clear she felt right at home. Their two pups were delightful and playful companions, and Lily had a great time running around and playing with them during her stay. It was such a relief knowing she was in such good hands. We would absolutely have Lily stay with them again without hesitation!”

“My pup boarded with Tayler during the July 4th weekend. I was anxious about how he would do with the fireworks but Tayler was amazing with keeping us up to date, following our instructions and ensuring my pup was comfortable. We found him happy and calm when we picked him up. Would choose Tayler to board him again!”

“Gabby was amazing. Our dog Nalu is a rambunctious crazy lil cattle dog and Gabby had no issues handling her. We met gabby for a meet and greet and nalu gravitated towards her almost naturally. Gabby’s dog Jameson is also such a sweet playful boy and perfect companion. Gabby was also flexible and understanding when we had to extend an extra night due to our late flight. Overall, super grateful to gabby and Jameson for taking such good care of our little one, and making sure we had nothing to worry about while we were out. I’d book her again without a question!”

“Jenny made our dogs feel so at home and gave updates to us while we were away. Leaving for 2 weeks internationally took alot of trust in those caring for our dogs. Jenny went over and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our vacation and didn't have to worry about our dogs. From enrichment activities, to walks, to cuddles, - our dogs couldn't have had it better. We would 100% have Jenny care for our dogs again. Thanks Jenny!”

“Our pup had an amazing time with Lekshmi and Vinod, they sent us tons of updates and pics throughout her stay. She got a great walk in and lots of attention. We will definitely be sending our pup to stay with them again!”

“Chantelle was great! She was able sit my pup last minute for several days, was very communicative, sent picture updates, administered my pup's daily anxiety medicine no problem, and made sure she got plenty of exercise/exploration time. Josie had a great time snuggling and going on adventures with her and her daughter, who was very gentle/loving with her. Thank you Chantelle!”

“Spring took care of our two dogs while we were out of town for a week. She was great at communicating and sending pictures of the dogs and went above and beyond taking care of them.”

About: With 15 years of loving and caring for my own sweet pup, I’ve mastered everything from puppy zoomies to senior cuddles. After she passed, I knew I wasn’t done — now I share that same love and care with every furry friend I meet! 🐾💛 As a part-time ABA therapist, my schedule is flexible, allowing me to dedicate ample time to my furry friends. Between sessions, I make sure there’s plenty of time for snuggles, walks, and potty breaks. I love balancing my work with spending quality time with pets, ensuring they feel loved and cared for every step of the way! At my place, I’m lucky to have a park right in front of my apartment, so long walks and playtime are always on the agenda! 🐕 Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or a good run, I’m happy to match the dog’s energy. At your home, I make sure to follow their routine exactly—feeding times, walks, naps, and even cuddles—just as you would. Your pup’s comfort is my priority, and I’m all about maintaining their schedule to make them feel right at home!
“Our dogs had a great stay with Alexander and Sarah! We appreciated the photos and quick communication and felt great knowing our dogs had a good place to stay while we were away.”

“Sadie had a wonderful weekend away with Ali and family - she came home a tired, waggy pup. We got a lot of pics and videos of her playing with Pepe during her stay. By all accounts a great weekend!”

“Lesley is wonderful!! She sent photos and updates everyday, it was very reassuring. Lesley is extremely kind and I wouldn't hesitate to have her watch Mabel again. 100/10, I would recommend Lesley to anyone and everyone.”

“This was my boy’s second stay with Janet. He was excited to see her again when I dropped him off, and reluctant to leave when we picked him up. He had a great time and was well-loved. Janet sent lots of pictures and video so I knew he was in good hands.”

“Wenjia took a very good care of Sienna. She took Sienna go trail and help cleaning her ears and nails. She sent photos or videos every day, there’s a lot of joyful moments. I can tell Sienna is very happy to stay with Wenjia as well. I will ask Wenjia to take care of Sienna next time if she’s available.”

About: Hi there! 👋 We’re a dog-loving couple with flexible schedules and a big heart for pups. I don’t work a fixed 9 to 5 schedule and my husband works fully from home — so your dog will always have company and care around the clock. Our one-year-old female lab who loves every dog she meets. Before her, we were lucky to have a male Lab who stayed with us for 16 wonderful years, from just a few weeks old until his peaceful passing on his 16th birthday. Because of him, we’re very familiar with caring for dogs at every stage of life — from energetic puppies to sweet seniors who need a little extra attention and care. We live in a house with a large, fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run and play. We take at least three walks a day — around our quiet neighborhood, across the street at the middle school sports ground or along the nearby riverside trail — always on leash for safety. We’ll treat your dog like family and make sure they feel loved, safe, and right at home. 🐾 ❤️ What You Can Expect * 24/7 supervision and companionship * Daily photo and video updates * Safe, fenced yard for playtime * Walks at least three times a day * Plenty of love, cuddles, and positive energy I don’t work a fixed 9 to 5 schedule and my husband works fully from home — so your dog will always have company and care around the clock We live in a house with a large, fully fenced yard where dogs can safely run and play. “Julie was able to take my dog last minute for overnight stay. I got updates with pictures and pretty prompt responses. My pup got to play with other fur friends and get lots of cuddles from the Julie and her family.”
“Prescilla is great! She took really good care of our 2 year old Shih Tzu. Daily grooming is a must for our dog. Prescilla was more than willing to do that for us while we were away. She sent us regular photos and videos, looking at which we were content that our dog was kept well groomed and well taken care of. We will definitely reach out to Prescilla again for our future needs.”

Kayla cared for my cat, Inca for a full week. Inca had never stayed away from home except for 2 nights at the vet. Kayla made her feel safe and secure and gave her lots of affection. We got regular updates and pictures. We would definitely have her cat sit for us again.
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Amber. Our lil guy needed post-operative care when we were out of town (the timing could not be worse), and Amber stepped right up and right in. She is knowledgeable, calm, so caring and kind, and it's obvious she loves animals and knows what she is doing. She sent us pictures and updates every day. And our lil guy looked so happy with her. We were so lucky to find her and lucky that she accepted our request. She will be our go-to sitter from now on. Thank you. Amber!

Our second booking with Elizabeth! Thank you for the daily pictures- our two small dogs looked right at home. We appreciate you creating a routine for the dogs during this 8 day stay, and generally being there for them! We are looking forward to another repeat booking :)

Jasmine did a great job with our two dogs. Jasmine is a good communicator and she took the time and care to understand and accommodate our dogs unique needs. We did a couple short trials before leaving them with her for over a week and the dogs became excited as we went back. We're happy to have found Jamine and will use her again when we need a dog sitter.

Jessica has a fantastic backyard. Plenty of space for the pups to run and play. Scout was instantly welcomed by Jessica’s friendly dogs and forgot I was even there. I received updates and videos during her stay and it was clear she was enjoying herself. We will be reaching out to Jessica next time we need a dog sitter.

Margaret was so kind and took such great care of our dog. We were out of town for a week and our pup stayed with Margaret. Our dog is shy and nervous until she gets to know new people. Our pup ran to Margaret to play and didn’t notice when we left. We know she had a great time! We appreciate all the love and care and would highly recommend Margaret.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
