“Kara and Don were great! We got updates on Zoey and she clearly was happy and loved her stay with them. Kara and Don are clear dog lovers and will give your dog all the love and attention it deserves ?. I would highly recommend them and would easily use them again to sit Zoey!”
“Sarah took amazing care of our 7-month-old puppy while we traveled for a week. She took amazing care of him, and it was obvious he had a great time playing with her dogs. She kept us updated with photos of him, and she even gave him a bath before we picked him up. He has a bit of a high-maintenance coat, and she so kindly kept him nicely brushed for us as well. Our flight had a brief delay which she was super accommodating and understanding of for pickup. If there were more stars, I would give them. Highly, highly recommend Sarah. :)”

“Ai took great care of my dog Jasper while I was away for a week. Although he was a bit resistant at first, Ai got Jasper to warm up to her quickly and he got along well with her cats. She provided regular updates about how he was doing and sent me lots of pictures. Ai is also so thoughtful in wanting her guests to be comfortable that she asked for Jasper to arrive a little earlier than my booking to help him settle in before I was away and harder to reach. She was also very gracious in transferring care to my friends who watched Jasper for me for the remainder of my trip. I would 100% book with Ai again and highly recommend her to board your pets.”

“Philip was so good with our first doggy (1 yr old puppy) and his care was excellent with our second (3yr old choc lab). Steve had lovely park walks, mental stimulation and came back very happy doggie. Highly recommend!”

“Christina took wonderful care of our dog. She sent updates and photos regularly, which we really appreciated. Our dog is very anxious, and Christina was incredibly patient with him and went out of her way to make him feel comfortable. Highly recommend her!”

“I booked Wenjia very last minute for a weekend trip I had to take. She was great and treated Kona as her own dog. I got lots of photos and Kona had many adventures. This was a great experience and Kona came back exhausted from a weekend of fun.”

“Nancy is the best. Our first long trip away from our dog and she put us right at ease. Consistent and great communication. Provided a great, safe and fun place for our dog to stay while we were away.”

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd. We have learned and refined our dog ownership skills over time, finally investing in professional training for both our dog and ourselves in 2025. That experience shaped the kind of care I offer today. I believe dogs thrive with clear structure, consistency, and calm communication. I strive to provide the kind of boarding experience I wish I could find for my own dog, where training, routines, and boundaries are respected while you're away. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, daily walks, and a very friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who enjoys canine company. Your dog won't be left alone for a typical workday. I do leave the house for school drop-offs and pick-ups, errands, or weekend activities. Dogs should be comfortable being alone for a few hours. Because I have both a young child and my own dog, I only accept dogs that: -Are friendly with children and other dogs. -Are up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention. -Can comfortably settle into a family home.
“Lauren and her family were wonderful with August! She made sure to give us updates and pictures of him daily. He had so much fun with their dog he came home exhausted. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Buckaroo had a great time romping around for a few days with Ina and her pack. In all his updates, he seemed at ease having a bunch of other pups to play with and he came home normal and happy. I also appreciated the consistency of Ina taking on the stay even when their power went out, which I'm sure brought new challenges.”

“Don was wonderful with my fur boy. He stimulated and walked him. His dog and mine got along just fine and played together. My boy was pooped when I picked him up. I used Don’s grooming services and he bathed Pisco. He looks so clean! It was such a great experience. I would definitely use his services, again, and I highly recommend him to care for your fur babies.”

“Our dogs were very happy and content with Talia. She does a great job of communicating and sending pics. Extensive flight delays kept up from getting home in time for pick up and Talia was very helpful in keeping the dogs an extra night. We look forward to booking with Talia again.”

“Maiko and her family were exceptionally loving to Daisy. She had such a wonderful stay full of adventures. She was extremely well cared for which was evident in the many photos sent to us. We appreciate all of the care shown to Daisy and highly recommend Maiko and her family!!”

“Otis absolutely loved staying with Cecilia and her pups! She kept us updated with pictures and notes every day while we were away. We will for sure board him with her again!”

“Alexa and her family were such great hosts and caretakers for our dog Bo - lovely to coordinate with and obviously provided a super good care. Could tell Bo was relaxed and happy from the regular photo/video updates. Will definitely try to rebook with Alexa again soon! 🐾 🦮❤️”

“Cathleen was absolutely wonderful. With her enthusiasm and interest in my fur babies, I knew they would be well taken care of. She was very communicative, sending frequent photos and updates - I never worried how they were doing!”

“Our dog Bear seemed to really enjoy his time! We got regular updates and pick up time was made more flexible when something wild kept us from getting back to pick up Bear at the original discussed time. Appreciate everything! 🥰”

Alex and Sarah watched my two dogs a standard poodle and a labradoodle for the weekend. They did a great job taking care of them at Their home. Their yard is fully fenced and secure with a lot of room for them to run around. They sent photos to update me. I had a great experience and recommend them for anyone in need of dog sitter! Thank you.

We had such a great experience! Communication was great and I got lots of photos and updates throughout Ru’s stay. She was really attentive to his back issues and made sure to follow all of his care instructions, which gave me a lot of peace of mind while we were away. Ru looked so happy and comfortable the whole time. Would definitely book with her again!

Dasha is top tier dogsitter. She took care of and boarded Bella, my senior dog, a 17 yo furbaby, who is very high needs. She was meticulous with following the detailed instructions for Bella. She was very caring and compassionate as well as patient, meeting all of Bella's needs and going above and behind in the level of care asked of her. I AM SO VERY APPRECIATIVE OF, AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND, DASHA.

Emily and her partner Mike were wonderful with my cat Bobby! I needed a sitter super last minute (day of) for boarding for several days and they stepped up. Bobby was so happy in the pics they sent me and they provide a great space for your kitty. Definitely recommend!

Lauren was amazing and provided a great environment for Riker to play, rest, and be comfortable. I received regular updates, photos and felt comfortable that my little guy was in good hands. Lauren was also flexible and worked with my flight schedule on return. I look forward to my next trip when I can book with Laruen & Ryan again!

Ali and her family were wonderful to Biscuit. She is very flexible and she even dropped Biscuit back at my house because my husband and I were stuck in Labor day traffic. This is something I never would expect from a sitter but her kind offer relieved so much stress for me. I received many pictures and Biscuit looked like he was having a great time. Definitely would book with Ali again.
Beth is such an amazing rover. We can’t say enough great things about her. She takes such good care of our reactive dog Chicken. Chickie loves going to Beth’s and seeing her family which makes us so happy to hear. We always know Chickie is in such good hands at Beth’s and we always feel at ease knowing she’s getting so much attention and care there 🩷

Kayla was great! She wanted to talk about my cat Hugo to make sure she understood all of his needs before taking the booking. She provided lots of great updates and feedback on Hugo during the stay included pictures and videos. She also did a great job helping to socialize him with other cats, which was great for him. Highly recommend!

Amazing as always!! Ellyssa and Anthony treat my dog Phoenix as their own, and it’s certainly reciprocated by Phoenix. They are officially a part of his trusted human friends! Phoenix always comes home happy and tired after tons of cuddles and balcony time and walks. Couldn’t ask for better sitters!

Amber was an absolute gem taking care of my cat Tino! She sent daily photo updates the whole time, which meant so much to me — I never had to wonder how he was doing. You could tell she genuinely cared for him and took the time to make sure he was happy and comfortable. I came home to a relaxed, well-loved cat. I’d trust Amber with Tino again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and communicative pet sitter!

Kristi (and her family) is absolutely awesome with my dog, Gecko. She sends a bunch of photos of the fun activities they get up to and Gecko always comes home happy, healthy, and ready for a nap after all that play time. It’s so much easier to leave home knowing that Gecko is in great hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
