“I was a last minute booking and Chelsea made it happen! My cat was a little stressed from the transition into a new space, but Chelsea was patient and updated me with photos. Would book again!”

“Ansel's overnight stay with Pam and Jon couldn't have gone better. They are super responsive, have a great setup for dogs with mobility issues, had all supplies needed including all bowls, bedding, etc, so the only thing we had to bring was food, and best of all Ansel had a great time with their dog. We are excited to bring him back in the future!”

“Kevin and Kandice were great. Our dog unexpectedly ended up in a cone with some additional medications and a toy ban the week before his stay and they took it in stride! Skippy had a great time with lots of walks, cuddles, and sniffing adventures despite his new limitations. They were flexible and communicated well with lots of pictures. Will book again!”

“Ana and her family are incredibly caring and understanding, even when we ran into some issues with our older dog. I’d recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much!”

“Diesel had a wonderful time with Karina and her lovely doggo. It was nice to know that he had a friend and family around him to keep him company. Karina sent regular photos and videos. Karina is great and we’ll definitely use her again. 🐶 🤗”

“Thank you, John for a wonderful overnight with Rigby! John has the perfect set up with a lovely, fully fenced natural wooded area where dogs can roam and enjoy being outside safely. John is very sensitive to a dog's needs and figured out easily that Rigby needed more space to feel comfortable. John was able to handle Rigby's odd behaviors and recognized much of it is likely due to anxiety. Rigby is a rescue who we've had since October so we are still figuring him out; he's almost 12 so we are the ones likely going to be making the adjustments versus him. Thanks to John's relaxed nature, we felt comfortable entrusting Rigby with him for overnight care. John provides quick responses and thoroughly takes notes to be prepared for his sessions with his dog guests. We will be returning for more visits in the future! Thank you, John!”

“Isabella was so great with CC! She was great to communicate with, pick up and drop off was super easy, and I got back a very tired dog! I would love to have CC stay with her again.”

“Melodie was fantastic and easy to work with. Upon meeting Melodie I felt relaxed and comfortable, my dog, Paisley, fit right in and I knew she would have a blast. Paisley was so well cared for the entire weekend and I got lots of picture updates which was fantastic. I would highly recommend!”

“Tunyi was awesome!!! Our pup loved her and her family. Sent us texts and videos the entire time while we were gone and we just knew Flo was being loved on❤️”

“Ai took care of our dog for 10 days, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our dog absolutely loved staying with her and her cats. Since he had never interacted with cats before, Ai introduced them gradually. She also has a separate space for the cats, which helped make the introductions safe and stress-free. She took our dog on regular walks, kept us updated with pictures, and was communicative and incredibly flexible the entire time. We always felt confident that he was in great hands. 10/10—highly recommend Ai to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Annette will take great care of your pup! She has a great understanding of dog behavior and the proper way to go about introductions, meal time, play time, etc. She is very responsive and sent great photos and videos.”

“Our girl Rebel was so happy to and well taken care of. We got lots of photos and updates daily, it gave it peace of mind trust our baby was well taken care of and being loved.”

“Lorena and her hubby were excellent caretakers for our pup. They sent pictures and reports every day, which showed the pup was happy and having fun. Softies that they are, the pup slept with them. I could not be any happier about the love and care they showered on our dog, and I hope they are available whenever I need a place to leave her. I recommend them to anyone. You and your dog will be happy.”

“Trenton was well prepared to watch my full-size German Shepherd puppy. Family took good care of my dog. Lots of walks every day. And great communication when an unexpected situation came up.”

“We went out of the country for a little over a week and Kara and Don were amazing! They responded quickly and made sure to update us with super cute pics of our pups stitch and mushu. They had alot of fun and I definitely will be having the boys stay with them in the future!”

“Catherine and her family were absolutely wonderful with our lil guy, Ruffles. They were responsive, followed the care instructions, and sent multiple pictures and updates daily! We will definitely book with them again”

“Hong and Yuchen were wonderful! They sent pictures every day and their two Corgis kept our Hudson plenty engaged it seemed. Hudson had a couple of issues during his stay and they were very understanding. Definitely recommend them!”
“Ling and her daughter took great care of Stormie. This was the first time we used Rover, and also the first time Stormie boarded with someone she doesn’t know. When Stormie was nervous seeing us leave, Ling’s daughter handle the situation really well. Really appreciate it!”

“Darlayna was absolutely amazing! Sent tons of pics and vids, and gave our dog tons of exercise and play. Definitely recommend her and will be using her again!”

“Sofia has been a perfect fit for us and our dog. She was easy to communicate with and flexible in scheduling. We really enjoyed working with her and was happy to see photo and video updates throughout her time caring for our dog. Looking forward to seeing her again soon and so is Winston!”

Ashley is our favorite—Joni’s and mine. She so incredibly competent, she has this knack for taking the best in-motion and candid pics of Jo (and then sending them to us right when we need a fix) and her property is Jo’s favorite place on earth I’m pretty sure. We’re big fans.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
