“Don was wonderful with my fur boy. He stimulated and walked him. His dog and mine got along just fine and played together. My boy was pooped when I picked him up. I used Don’s grooming services and he bathed Pisco. He looks so clean! It was such a great experience. I would definitely use his services, again, and I highly recommend him to care for your fur babies.”

“My dog stayed with Tyler for eight days while I was on vacation. Tyler was very communicative and responded promptly to my messages. I received daily updates and pictures of my dog being walked and fed. My dog seemed content while staying with Tyler and returned home happy and well taken care of. I’d book with Tyler again in the future.”

For house sitting, I would like to meet in person or virtually to discuss your pet's needs so all questions and concerns are addressed.
“Elizabeth was amazing with our reactive dog Chicken. She is extremely kind, communicative, and reliable. Chicken is an Aussie and they can be selective with new people and she did great with Elizabeth and her family. She sent regular updates and photos which was super helpful. I can tell Chicken feels really comfortable and well taken care of when she’s at Elizabeth’s.”

“Kelly was just marvelous with my special needs pup Toph! My pup came back happy, well cared for, and clearly well loved. Kelly took the time to sit down and explain their methods, show me around the space and yard, talk about what their schedule and maximum doggy capacity is, take thorough notes, and talk through treats and medication and allow Toph to meet their dog. I couldn’t have asked for a better rover experience, I felt like they were so thoughtful and considerate. They even have Bluetooth tags for each dogs under their care which is so lovely. Updates and pictures provided while I was out were also a delight. I’ll definitely be reaching out to Kelly and Karen in the future for any other trips I might be taking.”

“Chris and Kim were absolutely fantastic! They took care of our two girls for two weeks. It was hard leaving them for so long, but it felt wonderful knowing they were is such good hands. Chris gave us lots of updates and pictures and even took our pups on outings and adventures. Unfortunately one of our dogs had some tummy troubles in the first few days of our travel, but Chris was so patient and caring and handled it all so well. We could not ask for a better place for our pups when we are away and will definitely book with Chris again in the future!”

“Ai took great care of my dog Jasper while I was away for a week. Although he was a bit resistant at first, Ai got Jasper to warm up to her quickly and he got along well with her cats. She provided regular updates about how he was doing and sent me lots of pictures. Ai is also so thoughtful in wanting her guests to be comfortable that she asked for Jasper to arrive a little earlier than my booking to help him settle in before I was away and harder to reach. She was also very gracious in transferring care to my friends who watched Jasper for me for the remainder of my trip. I would 100% book with Ai again and highly recommend her to board your pets.”

“Hong and Yuchen were wonderful! They sent pictures every day and their two Corgis kept our Hudson plenty engaged it seemed. Hudson had a couple of issues during his stay and they were very understanding. Definitely recommend them!”
“Sarah took amazing care of our 7-month-old puppy while we traveled for a week. She took amazing care of him, and it was obvious he had a great time playing with her dogs. She kept us updated with photos of him, and she even gave him a bath before we picked him up. He has a bit of a high-maintenance coat, and she so kindly kept him nicely brushed for us as well. Our flight had a brief delay which she was super accommodating and understanding of for pickup. If there were more stars, I would give them. Highly, highly recommend Sarah. :)”

“My dog, Po, spent a trial few days with Lorelei, her husband, and their pups. After having a tough time at local daycares and boarding facilities he seemed happy and relaxed when he came home. Yay!”

“Sheena took great care of my dog, Uno. She handled introductions between Uno and her own dog really well. She updated me with photos, and Uno looked like he was having a great time. It was clear he was in good hands and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Sheena to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive dog sitter.”

“We left Draco for a 3 night boarding while we were on vacation and I’m always nervous leaving him but they made me feel so comfortable! I was sent photos everyday with an update and the photos were great lol. He had so much fun and made tons of friends!! I will definitely bring him back!! Thank you so much!!”

“Carl is an amazing sitter! Very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and I could tell our boy was very comfortable and having a great time while we were gone. Carl’s space is fantastic for any pets, our dog loved being there. I will absolutely reach out to Carl first in the future for any sitting needs.”

“Lucy loved her time with Casey and Ron. She got tons of love and activity and came back home super happy. Now she pulls towards their house when we go for walks. 10/10 would use again.”

“Very very satisfied. My dog is 160 pounds of love and came out bouncing after a two day stay. She sent photos of him playing with another dog and having a great time. I highly recommend Rachael as a go to for dog sitting.”

“I cannot recommend P&J enough, truly. They went above and beyond for me and my 2 pups during the snowstorm when I had to stay at work. They took them on so many walks and park visits, and sent pictures the entire time they had them. I have never had a better experience on Rover or with ANY other petsitting service. I would never use anyone else again if they are available! My pups didn't even want to come home with me, they had so much fun! I am beyond grateful that I found them. What a relaxing experience- I felt so secure and comfortable knowing the pups were in good hands. Thank you SO MUCH P&J!”

“He spoiled our boy! He took him walking daily. We got pictures of him walking and playing with other dogs. He brushed him. We felt our boy was loved and pampered. We would 100% recommend David.”

“Craig and his wife were amazing hosts. I’m sure my pup loved spending time with Guinness and the family. Craig was really responsive and kept us informed everyday of my pup’s acitivity.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
