“Joyce was wonderful with Penny and took great care to follow her routine and meet her needs. She was easy to work with, asked thoughtful questions, and made us feel confident that Penny was in great hands. Before the stay, Joyce allowed us over for a meet and greet, and we were impressed by her clean home and spacious yard for Penny to play in. We're so grateful for the excellent care she gave our precious pup and can't wait for Penny to stay with Joyce again!”

“Berkeley had the best time with PJ B! They provided plenty of photos and thorough updates about Berks while we were gone for the weekend. An abundance of fun and exercise left our dog wiped out and cuddly when we got home — just what we needed after a long weekend. Thanks so much!”
“Hong and Yuchen were wonderful! They sent pictures every day and their two Corgis kept our Hudson plenty engaged it seemed. Hudson had a couple of issues during his stay and they were very understanding. Definitely recommend them!”
“Colleen is awesome - the day before our international trip, our senior dog got an infected tooth - when we went to drop him off with Colleen, she was so patient and understanding about the situation. Everyday she would send updates on his condition and helped assure us he was feeling better while we were away. She was kind enough to take him to our vet for a follow-up check-up the following week to make sure he didn’t need any urgent treatments. We are so happy with her care for him, we would definitely have her watch him again!”
“Prescilla is great! She took really good care of our 2 year old Shih Tzu. Daily grooming is a must for our dog. Prescilla was more than willing to do that for us while we were away. She sent us regular photos and videos, looking at which we were content that our dog was kept well groomed and well taken care of. We will definitely reach out to Prescilla again for our future needs.”

“Douya stayed at Mike's place for about 10 days and looks like he had a good time. Communication with Mike was easy and he gave us regular photo updates. I would definitely come back to Mike for future daycare/boarding needs, highly recommend!”

“Jesci was amazing with my dog Banjo! She went above and beyond to reduce his anxiety levels and make him feel comfortable. Jesci sent daily updates, which were much appreciated! She displayed great knowledge of dogs and sensitivity to their individual needs. When I went to pick up Banjo, he looked better than when I dropped him off. I would definitely recommend Jesci for future bookings!”

“Megan took great care of our Labrador after a knee injury diagnosis immediately before our trip. We were updated daily as to his condition and activity. It significantly lessened our anxiety on his injury condition and care.”
“John was great to work with! He was very calm and caring, accommodating of pick up and drop off schedules, and sent lots of pictures. We would be happy to book him again.”

“Our dog had a blast and made a new best friend in Chelsea and Brian’s kid(s)! We got lots of pictures that showed just how well taken care of and how relaxed our dog was!”

“Nicole was great! Not only was this a last minute reservation, she welcomed my 2 small dogs to her home and family. Nicole was terrific with her communication. She sent pictures and videos daily.”

“Shi Inn and Changmin took wonderful care of my dog. She can be a handful, but she came home happy and all the pictures I received confirmed how well taken care of she was. Both were also very communicative and gave great updates during the stay”

“Darin and his family were a great match for our spoiled Golden Retriever’s first time away from us. I received regular updates to help me feel comfortable. Our dog, Sprite, returned home and acted like nothing had happened. She was her usual happy, relaxed self and we had been anticipating she might be upset that we had left her behind. I believe that Sprite has officially adopted Darin and his family into our family. Darin, thank you for making Sprite feel at home in your home. Travel as a handicapped person is difficult, scary, and frustrating. Knowing my dog is happy and safe while I am away makes it easier to face those challenges.”

“Katherine and her husband were amazing! She was so great about sending updates throughout and I know Teddy had a great time - he looked to be enjoying himself so much from her photos that I was worried he wouldn’t want to come home. So fun for him to get to play with another golden also! Thank you!”

“I came home to a very content and settled dog. That says a lot about the care he got given that his baseline is pretty anxious. I much appreciate the care that Yuliia and her family provided.”

“Only was in Seattle for a short period of time and managed to be a repeat customer with Jessica! Her and her partner were fantastic to my pup. I don’t trust him staying with basically anyone but me so that’s a huge compliment. They made me wish I lived in Seattle permanently! Great communication, great yard and care of my dog! Thank you both for everything!!!! Best wishes.”

“Thank you Pheara for taking such good care of our girl Aoife. She clearly had a wonderful time. We felt so at ease being gone for so long knowing she was in good hands and company. We appreciated all the photos and videos, and spoiling our little sweet pea 😊.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lynnwood
We attended a trunori convention in Dallas for 5 days and its a REALLY big deal for us to leave Luna behind. As empty nester, she's definitely our furbaby. We appreciate getting daily updates and photos. Responses are always timely, even when I am just missing her and checking in. We will absolutely use Karissa again in the future.

We recently boarded our cat with Kayla for the first time and had a great experience. Kayla was very communicative leading up to the boarding, and answered all of our questions and concerns. During the boarding she sent daily messages with updates and pictures which we really appreciated. Our cat is quite skittish but she seemed as comfortable at Kayla’s as she could be away from home.

Erin was amazing, and very intuitive with my somewhat temperamental dog. She was great at navigating her sometimes sensitive behavior to break down her walls and my dog was extremely happy, had tons of fun, and I could tell she was very well taken care of. I’ll definitely be using her in the future. If you want someone who actually knows what they’re doing, Erin is your person.

Jenny was wonderful! She was very polite and friendly from the moment we met, and she was right on time for both drop-off and pickup. While Enzo stayed with her, she sent us nice updates and pictures, which really helped us feel comfortable knowing he was doing well and was in good hands. We had a great experience with Jenny and would definitely feel comfortable having Enzo stay with her again. We’ll happily use her for boarding next time!

Our Corgi had a wonderful stay with Ya Nuo! She kept us updated with lots of adorable photos and videos throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. Our pup even made a new friend there and, to our surprise, didn’t want to come home with us at pickup! That says everything about how happy and comfortable he was. We’re so grateful for the great care and would definitely book with Ya Nuo again.

Mallerlyn and Tyler are likely the best dog sitters on this app! I know they appreciate the good review but I'm tempted to give them a bad one so I can keep them to myself! Honestly they are the best at caring for and accommodating any dog they sit for. Anyone on this app should feel absolutely comfortable utilizing their amazing services. My dog whines and us sad he has to leave them every time! Cannot recommend them enough!

We are so lucky to have found Dena! This was the first time we boarded our current dogs, and we were incredibly nervous. Throughout their two-week stay, Dena sent us photos and videos, so we always knew how our boys were doing. When we picked them up, we expected them to be mad at us, but instead they seemed happy and not stressed. We think that speaks volumes about the quality of care Dena provides. She even checked in on them a few days after we got home! Dena was always quick to respond to our messages, giving us peace of mind while we were away. We don't know when our next trip will be, but we hope Dena will be available. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for great care for their pets!

Elizabeth was great! Our dog is very reactive around other dogs and some people and she was able to handle him without any issues. I was worried, but she has a nice private backyard and is definitely capable of handling dogs that are anxious or reactive. She is also very organized. I would rebook her again without hesitation.

This is my first time using Rover and Prescilla was amazing with Benito! I appreciated the daily photos/vids/updates, it gave me ease of mind while I was out of town, especially because this was also my first time going out of town since adopting him. But Prescilla was patient and kind to Benito, waiting for him to warm up and become more comfortable with his new surroundings. Thank you, Prescilla!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
