“Many thanks to Prescilla and her husband who took great care of our pup! She was quick to respond when I booked, sent updates with emails, videos and photos. Prescilla is friendly, patient, and engaged immediately with our pup. Milo settled in very quickly and I trust they cared for Milo as if he was their own. Dog parks, fetch and cuddles = a great stay for Milo. He's home now but I think he misses his buddy, Yuri, and this sweet family. I would recommend without hesitation!”

“Catherine was the best rover we could ask for. She took EXCELLENT care of our dog and provided us high quality updates just like we asked. Catherine and her family made our dog feel so special in his home away from home. They poured a lot of love onto our dog and we would absolutely book with her again !”

“Melodie is out go to for Ollie! We feel so good go in g away on vacation knowing he’s not just well taken care of but that he’s having fun like he would at home. Recommend Melodie highly!”

“Very nice environment for dogs. Very kind and taking very good care of my dog. My dog loves her. And she sent me lot of pictures for my dog. Love it. Definity will come back for next time.”

About: I admit that I'm new to Rover.com but I cared for my beloved Chloe (60 lb dog) for 16 years and also dog sat for my best friend when she went out of town. Safety is incredibly important to me and I have a fully fenced, private back yard that would love to host your canine family member. I am retired now so can set my own schedule. I am home most of the time but do typically leave the house for an hour or so to exercise each day. When I'm pet sitting, your special pet will be my top priority and I will be able to work my schedule around their needs and your expectations. I have a large, fully fenced, private back yard. I do not require that your pet be crate trained as my dog (she passed away in 2024) was never crate trained. I'm ok with you simply bringing over their dog bed, but if they sleep in a crate, that's fine too. My home's environment is very safe and offers room to roam when they're outside. The one fence line that has a gap between the bottom of the fence and the ground has been covered with wire mesh so even a small dog cannot get out. As a retired person, I'm able to walk your dog as many times / day as you request. As mentioned above, they'll also be free to roam the backyard and I will be with them during that time.
“It was so lovely knowing our fur babies were so well loved and cared for while we were away for the weekend getting married! The updates with pictures were extra cute! The dogs are pooped from all the play time and walks. We joked that they were at doggy sleep away camp. Thank you thank you! I highly recommend Brian and Chelsea!”

“Always super thrilled when Savannah is available to watch our pup, he's treated like a member of the family and comes back happy and good-tired looking forward to his next stay.”

“Thank you for everything Chelsea! You take really good care of Mishka every time and I very much appreciate it. I highly recommend Chelsea to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog.”

“Yuliia and her family were so sweet, flexible, and caring for my cat Lydian. She sent great updates and pictures and I was so relieved knowing my cat was surrounded by people who cared for her. Lydian seemed comfortable, healthy, and happy the whole time. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Our dog is very nervous leaving us and she immediately warmed up to Kristi. We felt very comfortable leaving Mia with her, which means everything to us. Kristi sent us daily updates and pictures, and quickly responded to texts. We have already booked Mia's next stay with Kristi. Highly recommend!”

“I’m so grateful for the wonderful care they gave my dog for two weeks! He looked so happy and well taken care of. Thank you for keeping me updated and making sure he felt comfortable. I would definitely trust them to watch him again!💓”

“Katherine and her husband were amazing! She was so great about sending updates throughout and I know Teddy had a great time - he looked to be enjoying himself so much from her photos that I was worried he wouldn’t want to come home. So fun for him to get to play with another golden also! Thank you!”

“Jose is AMAZING! He was super communicative and accommodating, and took wonderful care of both our dogs (our energetic mutt and senior English Lab) for the weekend while we were busy putting our house on the market. It was such a stressful time for us, and he totally went with the flow, making everything easier. From the pictures he sent, I’m pretty sure our dogs didn’t want to leave his place! We’re so grateful for his care and are looking forward to future visits with total peace of mind.”

“Karissa sent pics of Benji everyday and add sure I was up-to-date! They did a great job taking care of Benji and I know he had a great time there. Lots of room to roam and have fun. Highly recommend her services!”

“This is the second time I’ve boarded my cat Curtis with Nathan and his family and I cannot recommend them enough! They are so thoughtful and always send me the cutest pictures. Thank you!”

“Sarah is the absolute BEST! Our dog Nilla had a blast playing with her husky Odin. Sarah provided updates throughout the stay, took the dogs out on a hike, and worked with us to do a special pick-up so we could bring Nilla to a family gathering. Can’t recommend her enough!”

“Christine took the absolute best care of our dog, Matilda, while we were out of town for a week! She was communicative throughout the week, sending us updates and photos, and we could tell she went out of her way to make sure Matilda was comfortable and happy! Matilda has some unique needs, and Christine cared for her as if she was her own pup! We will definitely be reaching out again!”

Benson and Naomi are such great dog sitters. Lucy was so excited to see Naomi and it had been a while since she had been there. There are great at communicating and provide pictures. I also appreciate that they ask any questions if I forgot to mention something about Lucy's care. We are grateful to have them watch our Lucy.

Nancy is a greatest caregiver I met. Our Mina is very anxious with new environment and has not been around any animal. She's the only child who follow my dad all day long. When Nancy picked her up from our home, Mina cried and did not want to get in the car. Yet, soon she got to Nancy's, Mina looks very comfortable around Nancy. Nancy sent us photos couple times a day and keeps us posted when we had concerns. Mina is happy to back home but it seems that she has vacation withdrawal syndromes 😂 She missed Nancy, her deck, her yard, and the neighborhood walks. And I'm very sure she misses her new four legged friend, uncle Luca. Thank you, Nancy for the great cares and attentions you gave Mina! I wouldn't ask for anyone else to care for Mina from now on.
Jennyfer took wonderful care of our pup! She was very responsive and sent us daily photos and videos. Jennyfer has a calm and confident demeanor. Our pup was comfortable with her from their very first meet and greet and seemed to feel at home immediately. Their home is spotless and very dog friendly. Thank you Jennyfer!

Melonie & Ryan were great! We left our dog Kingsley for a week and he was very happy! They updated us throughout the week with pictures, it was nice seeing him having fun while we were missing him! It was nice that they watch other dogs as well so he has others to run around with! If we need to have him stay somewhere again, they are our first choice!

We can't recommend Erin enough! She always takes such wonderful care of our dog, Benson. You can tell how much she genuinely loves animals, and she treats Benson like he's one of her own. She's incredibly attentive to his routine, follows his schedule carefully, and always makes sure he's happy and well cared for. Benson has the best time every time he stays with her and comes home happy, tired, and excited for his next visit. Her communication is outstanding, we always receive thoughtful updates and photos, and we never have to wonder how Benson is doing. Having that peace of mind while we're away means so much. We feel so lucky to have found someone we trust completely with our pup!

Natali and her partner took AMAZING care of Isa - I super appreciate their attention to details, frequent photo/video updates, and their love for Isa - I could tell Isa always had a great time staying with them. :-) Thank you both SO much for spoiling and loving Isa 💖

Christine took great care of Penny while we were away! Penny got lots of walks and ate well which is a sign she was comfortable and happy despite her separation anxiety. Christine was very friendly, flexible, and communicated with us everyday about Penny, sharing pics/video which we appreciated! Will definitely reach back out to Christine to care for Penny in the future.

We had the most wonderful experience with Ailyn! From the very beginning, it was clear that Juniper was being cared for with so much love, attention, and genuine affection. Knowing Junie was happy and in such capable hands allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our trip to Oslo. Ailyn and her daughter kept Junie active with wonderful adventures to the park and the beach. Ailyn also took the time to truly understand Junie’s personality and breed, recognizing that she is happiest when she has a “job” to do. She even began taking her on bike-guided walks, which Junie absolutely loved! We very much enjoyed the daily updates through text, photo and video of Junie living her best life 😉 This was truly the best dog-sitting experience we could have hoped for. Ailyn went above and beyond in every way, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. We will absolutely be asking her to care for Junie again in the future!

Jose took Raffle to the dog park, swimming, and made sure he had lots of fun and exercise. Raffle looked very happy playing and enjoying his time with Jose. We really appreciated Jose’s care, attention, and effort to keep Raffle active and comfortable. Would definitely recommend him!

If we could give Christine more than 5 stars, we would. Our pup, Gaz, can be apprehensive about meeting strangers but she warmed up to Christine before we even got back in our car. Christine did an amazing job of communicating with us and sent plenty of pictures. When we picked Gaz up she actually hesitated leaving. Christine even made her an adorable necklace with Gaz's name. I would highly recommend Christine to anybody. She's THE BEST!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
