“Qiaohui took excellent care of my sweet pup, sending photos and videos of her every day while we were on our trip. I can’t recommend her enough and we will gladly rebook with her for future family vacations!”

“Alissa is the best! She is our go to person whenever we need to go out of town and can’t take the pups with us. Alissa took great care of Rocky and Truffle while we were away for 2 weeks. She sent us photos/video clips daily. We could tell that the pups were having a great time. They also love playing with Alissa’s dog Captain. It’s great to be able to have a worry-free vacation knowing they are in good hands. Thank you so much Alissa!”

“This was our first time using Rover to find a sitter for our dog, Apollo. Tyler was the best person we could have asked for. He was super communicative ahead of time, was sending us plenty of updates while we were gone, and sent lots of photos. He also took Apollo on plenty of walks in some nice areas in Bothell. Apollo looked like he had the best time. We'd love to have him stay with Tyler again the next time we need a dog sitter.”

“Our dog Bear seemed to really enjoy his time! We got regular updates and pick up time was made more flexible when something wild kept us from getting back to pick up Bear at the original discussed time. Appreciate everything! 🥰”

“My dog received such great care. Kelly, was extremely flexible when I added an extra night stay at the last minute. Got regular photos and updates. Thanks! Kelly and Karen!”

“So kind and a great communicator! Unexpectedly Mike had to deal with our dogs UTI and pick up a prescription after some frustration with pharmacies. We are so glad she was with you for that 9 days.”

“Stephanie takes very good care of our dogs, when we have travel plans. She has helped us out 3 times so far and we have been extremely happy with her support and care for our dogs. Highly recommend her, if you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies.”

“Our English Cream Golden Retriever (almost 6) stayed with Haiman for 24 days, and we couldn’t be happier with how well she cared for him. She took him on two walks every day, kept him comfortable, and treated him like her own. He loved being there and came home happy and relaxed. We’d rebook with her in a heartbeat. If you’re in east Seattle, we highly recommend her!”

Kaitlin was excellent with our senior dog Bailey, who had specific needs and diet. Bailey seemed very comfortable and returned to us super relaxed! Kaitlin also sent us many pics everyday easing our separation anxiety. Her own pup Franklin is laid back and extremely social as well. Definitely recommend and will be a repeat guest in the future!
We’re so happy we found Qintian! She was such a caring, responsible, and thoughtful dog sitter. Ash is a very energetic Labrador who needs lots of exercise, and we loved seeing how happy he was enjoying different indoor and outdoor activities every day. Qintian also kept us updated with photos and messages about how Ash was doing, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of Ash and giving her such a fun and happy week! We truly appreciate it and would definitely recommend Qintian to anyone looking for a loving and reliable sitter!

Nicole took great care of Nelson during his stay with her. She was very responsive and I really appreciated the daily updates with photos and videos. I felt comfortable knowing that Nelson was being very well cared for. I will definitely book with Nicole again in the future.
Candra and her family were absolutely incredible. Maya had the most amazing time and all her play dreams came true. They have a beautiful backyard and are so involved with taking the dogs out and playing with them the entire time, she loves soccer. Candra provided updates throughout the day every day and made me feel so comfortable right from the beginning. 12/10 experience and will definitely book with her again!

Jessica was generous in sharing advice for keeping Cash entertained and comforted. She is a very kind person who clearly takes an interest in the wellbeing of the dogs. This was the first time that Cash had been away from us overnight in the year since we adopted him, so his anxiety was pretty high. Jessica worked with him. When we picked him up, she was honest that she could not keep him for our previously booked stay in October since she will be going back to in-office work instead of working from home.

Ying is a wonderful cat sitter, and I couldn't be happier with the care she provided. My cat came home happy and full of energy, which was a huge relief. Throughout my time away, Ying was fantastic about sending regular updates and adorable photos, which gave me total peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. Her setup is truly impressive—she has a very spacious, dedicated room for cats filled with plenty of toys and climbing trees to keep them entertained and active. On top of that, Ying is incredibly friendly and flexible, making the entire drop-off and pick-up process completely stress-free. I’m so glad I chose her and will definitely be booking her again for my future trips!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
