“Laurel did such an amazing job caring for our little old pug while we were away. She is prompt and communicative. She went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you so much, Laurel! ❤️❤️❤️”

“I use Rover consistently For 10 years. From Sacramento, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and now Seattle. I have to say Jessica is One of the most attentive dog sitters I have ever had. Her updates allow me to visualize what’s going on with my pet. As important, she is extremely reliable, which is So comforting. Very thankful to have her to call on.”
“I was really nervous to leave Lulu for the first time but callaway did an amazing job, kept me updated and sent pics and Lulu seemed to enjoy her time!”

“Courtney was amazing. She took care of Kiki very well. I felt very comfortable living here with my home and I would hire her again anytime. She was very attentive and even took care of the small details like making sure her box was clean and also making sure there’s a light on if you wanted to. The report were detailed and on time. This was very appreciated.”

About: Right now, I have 2 pets in my life. My parent's dog Ada, a 6 year old mutt who loves to cuddle, and my cat, Morgana, a 4 year old tuxedo who loves to play! I grew up with dogs and I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, dogs with cancer and other illnesses, and helped a dog through a seizure. I also have volunteered at an animal shelter (Homeward Pets) and spent time with dogs of many different ages, sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. During this time I fed the dogs, cleaned their kennels, bathed them, and played with them. I have also lived with two cats of very different personalities so I also have experience feeding & playing with cats of different ages and temperaments. I recently graduated from the University of Washington with my Master's in Museum Studies. As I'm trying to get a job, I'm looking for ways to increase my part-time income. I think it’s important to keep things as much the same as possible for your pets in order to decrease stress so I will always follow any house rules. If that means no dogs on the couch, then no dogs on the couch. Or not feeding them human food, I’ll make sure they only get their food no matter how cute they’re looking! I will also make sure I spend no less than 2 hours at an owner’s home playing with your animals where all my attention is on them. I do know pet-related first aid and dog CPR although I’ve luckily never had to use it. I will make sure to give regular updates to the owner and contact them in the case of any emergencies. I want to create a loving and safe environment for your pets so in trusting me with your pets, I can promise that they will be loved and cared for!

About: I’ve been around pets since I was a child and grew up caring for them. My family fostered dogs and cats for about five years, which gave me hands-on experience with different personalities, ages, and needs. During that time, I handled daily care like feeding, walking, and helping them adjust to new environments. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I currently work part-time remotely and can mostly set my own hours, which gives me lots of flexibility to care for your pets. I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and making sure your dog gets the attention and care they need throughout the day. As a pet owner, I know how important trust is. I’ll treat your pet like my own, follow your instructions carefully, and ensure they stay safe, happy, and cared for.
“Caroline went above and beyond—I can’t recommend her enough! This was my first time leaving my two cats with someone who wasn’t a friend or family member, so I was understandably nervous. Caroline immediately put my mind at ease with thorough daily reports and plenty of great photos, which reassured me that my boys were safe and well cared for. She followed my checklist perfectly and even went beyond it, doing thoughtful extras I didn’t ask for, like taking out the garbage. Thank you again, Caroline! We’ll definitely be booking again 😊”

“I’m so happy I found Junnan to watch Kaiju! My cat is usually timid but not with Junnan I swear she is a cat whisperer. It was obvious Kaiju got lots of love, attention, and cuddles while I was away. Communication was super fast, the updates were amazing, and I never had to worry. Thank you for taking such good care of Kaiju! I would absolutely book again!”

About: I have a Husky-Malamute mix at home, and they're known for being one of the most high energy dogs. I can take care of your dog for sure. I am a college-freshman at NYU who’s looking to make some extra money whilst I’m on break back home, and what better way to make money than to take care of your dog! I am timely, and will make sure I give full attention to your pet. I’ll pick up after them, clean them if needed, and feed them all in a punctual manner. I’ll take this job very very seriously if you pick me! I'm back home for the summer, book any type of services available! I am always looking for ways to take care of pets, so anything works. Caring for my Husky-Malamute, I make sure to give him as much attention and play as possible. I love taking long walks (as long as your dog wants), and taking time to stroll around. I know how to avoid aggressive dogs, and also train aggression, as my dog also used to be aggressive. I will feed them on time, let them out to relieve themselves as much as possible, and be attentive to their needs!
“Brooke took great care of my 3 kitties while I was gone for the weekend! She won over my shy cat too which was great. And she proactively cleaned their food bowls + cleaned up a cat accident on the stairs”

“Terrific! Communicates well, reliable, very easy to deal with. We felt so much better being out of town and knowing our babies were in good hands! Went above and beyond to take good care of our dog and cat.”

“Kimberly is great! She’s easy to work with and very capable. While there were no issues here, I feel like she could handle anything. I appreciate her timely and good communication style. Thumbs up!”

“Mike is my cat's adopted uncle. He's so caring, thoughtful, and a great pet sitter. We have never had any issues with trust or communication- im very happy to have met Mike and trust him with my babies”

We had a wonderful experience with Momo. Communication was always smooth, prompt, and reliable, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She took excellent care of our cats, paid close attention to every detail, and even helped with a few extra household tasks without us having to ask. Most importantly, our cats quickly warmed up to her, and it was obvious they felt comfortable and well cared for. We truly appreciate her kindness, thoughtfulness, and professionalism, and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Fanghua is an amazing pet sitter! She is reliable, caring, and very attentive. She took great care of my pet and gave me peace of mind while I was away. I really appreciate her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

What a wonderful photographer, she sent the best pictures of our cat. You could tell our cat was playing and engaged! So heartwarming to see that Stanley was happy and doing just fine! Kumiko even alerted us on her 1st visit that Stanley hadn't gone #2 and updated us on 2n visit (2 days later) that he had gone #2 now that is quality care! We will definitely have Kumiko visit Stanley again and highly recommend her!
Tami was absolutely wonderful! My wife and I have a very anxious cat, and we were a bit nervous to have to leave her for a week. Tami gave us GREAT peace of mind and did everything possible to give our cat the care she needed. We received regular updates and photos, and we could tell that Tami genuinely cared for her well-being. If we travel again in the future, Tami is the first person we'll reach out to regarding care for our cat.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
