“My cats obviously loved Gargi! My semi-feral, shy Jasper hides from EVERYone, but not from Gargi! She may be the only other person who can pet him. It’s so important to have someone the cats like and trust. I hope Gargi will be available every time I travel.”

About: I've loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I’m that person who stops to say hi to every dog I pass, no matter where I am. Whether it’s fetch in the yard, long neighborhood walks, or simply keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every furry friend like family. I’m reliable, communicative, and always focused on your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness. You can count on me for updates, snuggles, and lots of tail wags! I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to drop by for walks, playtime, or whatever your pup needs! As a drop-in pet walker, your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and always follow your pet’s routine closely. Whether it's feeding, potty breaks, or playtime, I show up on time and give your pet the same care and attention I give my own. You can trust me to keep you updated with check-ins and photos so you always know your furry friend is in good hands.

About: I’ve been deeply passionate about caring for animals of all shapes and sizes since I was a child. Neighbors, friends, and family have always relied on me to drop in, feed, walk, and play with their fur babies because they know I bring the same level of love and responsibility that they do. Whether your dog is a high-energy puppy who needs to burn off some steam, a gentle senior who prefers slow walks and extra belly rubs, or a shy rescue who just needs a calm, patient presence, I adapt my care to fit their unique personality. I understand that your pets are family, and leaving them can be tough. That’s why I prioritize clear communication, reliability, and sending plenty of cute photo updates so you can have total peace of mind while you're away. I work part-time building my lash business, which leaves me with a very flexible schedule and plenty of open time to dedicate to your pets! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, allowing me to easily accommodate your preferred drop-in times. Whether your dog needs a mid-day walk and potty break, or your cat needs their routine feeding and playtime, my schedule allows me to be highly reliable, consistent, and there exactly when your pet needs me most. To me, your pets are family, and their safety and comfort mean everything during my visits. I have great, recent experience keeping dogs happy and secure on their walks, always making sure they are safely leashed and away from any hazards. When it comes to cats, I know how sneaky they can be, so I’m super careful around doors and always let them set the pace for cuddles or playtime. Every time I drop in, I’ll make sure food and water are topped off, the litter box is taken care of, and your fur baby gets plenty of love and attention!
“Olivia was great! One of our cats was hiding for a long time and she even did and extra visit just to make sure she was out. She was very kind and on time for all the visits with food updates each time. Would recommend.”

“Lindsey was great! It was my first time using Rover - she did a couple of drop-in visits for my shy kitty over the holiday weekend and was very communicative during the process, sending lots of pictures and updates. My cat was content when I came home and I'm grateful Lindsey was able to check in on her while I was away.”

“Abigail is the BEST! She took amazing care of my cat, Oliver, while I was away. Her loving attention and thoughtful care went above and beyond. I especially appreciated her detailed (and hilarious) updates as they gave me much needed peace of mind while I was gone. It means the world to know that Oliver is not only safe, but also loved and understood, especially since he’s such a shy boy. She was reliable, warm, and completely understanding of his needs. I’m so grateful to have found her, and I’ll definitely be rebooking with her for my next trip.”

“We are so grateful Courtney was able to take care of our two cats again. In addition to all of the great care, she also takes the most amazing photos! It is so fun to see them and get updates when we are missing the cats. Thanks Courtney!”

About: I've loved animals all my life. I had two dogs growing up, and have been a loving cat parent since 1999. In recent years, I have pet/house sat for my neighbors who have gone on vacation, looking after 2 dogs, 3 cats and sometimes fish, and chickens. I have also worked on a friend's home run animal sanctuary, feeding numerous cats, filling bird feeders and feeding local wild animals such as squirrels. These two parties trust me implicitly and would be happy to provide references as required. I work part time from home in an unrelated capacity so I have a lot of flexibility. Since I have two cats of my own, boarding is not an option but I would be more than happy to either stay at your place or drop in as needed, provided it is not too far away. As I mentioned, I have two cats at home, so I would not be able to board animals in my home. Thank you very much.

About: Hi, I’m George! As a collegiate cross country and track runner, discipline, structure, and reliability are built into my daily routine. Whether your pet needs an energetic walk or your cat just wants a calm companion to sit with on a recovery day, I am fully equipped to give them the best care possible. My Pet Care Experience: Golden Retriever Owner: I raised and care for my own 6-year-old Golden Retriever, so I am highly experienced with feeding routines, basic training reinforcement, and heavy shedding! Active & Fit: Need a sitter who won't tire out? I can easily match the energy levels of active breeds, ensuring they get thorough, attentive exercise. Reliable Schedule: Because my training block requires a strict schedule, my daily timeline is highly predictable. I will never flake on your pet's potty breaks or meals. I am offering dedicated pet care right here in the Shoreline area this summer while I balance my academic and athletic goals. I treat every animal with the exact same love and safety precautions I give my own dog. I look forward to giving you total peace of mind! As a collegiate student-athlete, my life runs on an incredibly disciplined, structured routine, which means I treat your pet's schedule with the highest level of reliability. Because my daily training hours are highly flexible, my calendar is completely open 7 days a week. I easily structure my daily runs and workouts around your pet’s specific needs, ensuring they get their walks, feeding times, and attention exactly when they are used to them. Whether you need consistent Monday–Friday coverage while you're at work or overnight care, I can easily adapt to your timeline. Safety and peace of mind are my absolute top priorities when managing someone else's home and pet. Having raised and cared for my own 4-year-old Golden Retriever, I understand how critical a secure, stress-free environment is. In your home, I strictly follow all security preferences, double-check that gates and doors are completely locked, and treat your property with total respect. On walks or drop-ins, your dog stays securely on a standard 6-foot lead, and I practice strict situational awareness—avoiding random dog-on-dog interactions on the sidewalk and keeping a close eye out for local triggers like squirrels or cars to ensure 100% control at all times.
“It was the first time using Rover. Kiki was perfect and I was able to have a great trip knowing my girls were in good hands. I definitely will use Kiki again and Rover is amazing.”

“My cats love Jeanne - she knows what kind of scritches and treats they love. She goes above and beyond, like letting me know if the litter is getting low. She’s the cat’s meow!”

About: I thought I wasn't a pet guy until becoming step dad to two loafs and we are all very happy together their mom regularly comments on how close the cats have grown to me The cats jump on my chest in the morning because they know it's safe and that I am the food guy now. I take care of their clean up and keep them company on days off One of my favorite things to do for my cats is make a blanket fort for them on the bed so they have a nice warm spot to hide
“Thank you so SO much for taking such good care of the kitties while I was away and for even taking time out of your own holiday weekend to check in on them!! We're so lucky to have your help🤗”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Shoreline
Sara was a delightful sitter for our little Dachshund! Ollie warmed up to Sara very quickly which is a testament to how great of a sitter she is. Sara left us thorough and prompt feedback for every visit. She even sent us great photos from her sit. We highly recommend Sara and would be interested in having her as a sitter again ☺️.

Jeanne was accommodating with our scheduling and engaging and thorough with caring for our kitties. Respectful, responsive, a huge help with their playful energy as well as wonderful photos that kept us up to date with them from far away. Knowing they were being doted on meant the world to our family and let us be present on vacation with no worries for our feline family members.

I'm a bit of an anxious pet mom because one of my dogs is an energetic husky and the other is a highly reactive dog with a complicated medical history. Abby did an incredible job keeping me updated about how the dogs were doing while I was away, including sending loads of adorable photos. She went above and beyond giving my highly reactive little guy his inhaler twice a day; there are fewer than five people in the entire world that he actually likes and she is one of them. She did a wonderful job ensuring that my energetic husky got the activity and enrichment that she needed to be happy, that my little guy got his medication and cuddles, and that I felt secure the entire time I was gone knowing they were in excellent hands. I can't recommend Abby highly enough.

Olivia was a great dog sitter. She was attentive, showed up on time, and very communicative with us. One of dogs wasn’t feeling very good and she made sure to give him extra attention, even got him to have his pills which is a challenge in itself. I highly recommend her services!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shoreline. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
