Fur, feathers, and scales, oh my!
Born an animal lover, I've kept and cared for a variety of animals over the years, including cats, dogs, rodents, fish, reptiles, and birds. After receiving education and working briefly in the field of psychology, I realized that my heart belonged to pets and decided to work professionally with them. I worked in an animal hospital for two years taking care of the kennel occupants and assisting the staff with patients, and then moved to a private pet sitting company for another two years where I did dog walking, drop in visits, and dog boarding in my home. I also learned and utilized positive dog training methods during my time there. I've since taken a break to raise my own babies, and now that they are in school full time I am ready to mingle with my critter compadres once again!

I have worked with a wide variety of animal personalities and do my best to provide care based on an animal's needs. Whether your pet has dietary restrictions or is timid or needs to be walked away from animals or people, I will do what I can to make sure both owners and pets get what they need.

Shelly was amazing with our two very shy kitties! Shelly was personable, attentive and had great communication from the moment we started speaking. We felt very secure knowing our cats were in good hands! She even hung out with them for each of my kitties to come out and say hi eventually which is so rare with strangers! We will definitely be booking with Shelly again in the future!

Schedule
For now, my availability depends on when my kids are in school. Generally, this is MTThF until 2pm and W until 12:30pm. I will try to keep my availability posted and will communicate with you to find a good time for a visit.
