“Ethan was fantastic for our dogs first day care! At the meet-and-greet he took time to get to know both dogs on a short stroll around the neighborhood and paid careful attention to the instructions. After the first visit Ethan sent a photo of both dogs in the backyard - happy and ready to play. Really appreciate the punctuality and care he put into the details.”

“Always follows directions, takes good care of my cat, and leaves my home in good condition! I always trust Kendal whenever I need someone to take care of my cat while I’m gone!”

“Natalia was so sweet and thorough. She agreed to travel to us twice a week on short notice over Christmas! We have 2 tiny 5 pound Yorkies that are very slow to warm up and we always have concerns when we leave that they won’t eat, Natalia was very reassuring and followed our guidance on their particularities. She got them both to eat and sent plenty of sweet pictures while we were away. This was our first time using a dog watching company and we would 10/10 reccomend Natalia specifically! Thank you so much for taking care of our babies and giving us peace of mind during our holiday trip!”

“Yi did an amazing job of checking in on our kitty each day while we were on vacation. She sent lots of great videos and photos where our cat was clearly enjoying her company and excited to see her. We made some specific requests around food and water that Yi did a great job of following. We would book again with Yi.”

“We haven't used Rover before and were a bit skeptical until we met Miranda! She took such good care of our cat and made us feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.”

“Kimberly is great! She’s easy to work with and very capable. While there were no issues here, I feel like she could handle anything. I appreciate her timely and good communication style. Thumbs up!”

“Elizabeth is wonderful - we are very thankful for her. She has a very calm and easy going demeanor even when our dogs are barking like crazy !! Extremely polite and friendly as well. She asked all the right questions at our first meeting, is excellent at communicating and sent the cutest pictures. We are happy we found her and plan on continuing!”

About: I have lived with dogs of varying breeds my entire life. I am a huge animal nerd and I think it’s incredibly important to make every animal feel loved and appreciated. Currently my family and I have dogs that we purchased during the pandemic, I have DIY trained them, and spend time playing and walking them frequently This summer, I am currently working as a swim, instructor and tutor, so my schedule can vary. However, anytime I take a pet sitting/housesitting job that takes precedent over other plans for me because my first priority is always to ensure the animals, happiness and safety. The wonderful thing about my current jobs is the flexibility that I have when it comes to the timing of my shift so I am generally around most of the days with the animals. The way I care for the animals at my clients homes is by playing with them and talking to them. I also enjoy taking them on walks or playing in the backyard. My goal is to help their routine stay as much the same as it can while their pet parents are away.

“Amy was absolutely awesome! We have 5 cats, we needed 3 visits/day, and one of the kitties is sick and needs medicine. Amy took care of everything superbly, sent us updates several times a day and we didn't need to worry about a thing.”
About: Hi! I’m a UW student and lifelong dog lover who genuinely enjoys spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m patient, responsible, and active, so your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, and walks. I understand it might be to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll make sure to keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know your dog is safe and happy. Able to lift heavy weights if needed. I also have a car to drive them to different parks to play if wanted. I’m currently a student at University of Washington and will be free from July to October. If your pet is at home alone when you’re out for vacation, I will be able to walk them, feet them, play with them for you. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, litter care, and any special instructions. I’m patient and attentive to different personalities, whether a pet is energetic, shy, or independent. I also provide regular photo updates so owners can feel relaxed knowing their pets are happy and in good hands.
“We had a wonderful experience with Momo. Communication was always smooth, prompt, and reliable, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She took excellent care of our cats, paid close attention to every detail, and even helped with a few extra household tasks without us having to ask. Most importantly, our cats quickly warmed up to her, and it was obvious they felt comfortable and well cared for. We truly appreciate her kindness, thoughtfulness, and professionalism, and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Edie was responsive, timely, pleasant and professional. I loved her communication and reports from her visits. I would definitively use her again. My pups were very happy and obviously enjoyed her company.”

“Kayla did an outstanding job with Bear during our vacation. She was caring, prompt, and always prepared with details about how our anxious pup was doing, along with lots of pictures. Highly recommended!”

About: Hi there! As a lifelong dog person, I have a lot of experience - I have cared for dogs weighing 8 to over 100lbs, and from 6 week old puppies to seniors. I am experienced in dogs with complex situations such as reactivity, fearfulness & timidness, and significant physical impairments. Currently, I own two rescue dogs - a 3 year old female German shepherd/malinois mix, and a 2 year old male Aussie who was born deaf & blind. So when I say the “hard to handle” pups are my speciality, I mean it! I would be happy to take your dog on a walk or local hike, to play outside with them, to work/train (my GSD/malinois girl requires regular scent work, agility, and intense variations on fetch to stay sane), or to simply give them affection. I don’t at all mind working with dogs that take time to win over, or that need extra TLC. All dogs are good dogs, and I can promise you that to me, they are all precious cargo - and will be handled as such in my care. I am a music teacher, and primarily work afternoons & evenings - so earlier in the day I have free time. I am also the mother of a young child, so am unavailable on weekends when he is home from school. I will adhere to strictly to instructions given (ie, your dog is crated or not, food allergies or sensitives to avoid, fears they have or the best ways to make them feel safe) and make sure above all else, they know I am someone they can look forward to seeing.

Cortney took amazing care of our Chihuahua, Shuige, while we were away in France for a week. She visited him every day, kept us constantly updated with lots of photos and thoughtful messages, and let us know how he was doing, what he ate, and how he was feeling. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. What impressed us most was how patient and kind she was with Shuige. He’s usually very shy and scared of strangers, but Cortney took the time to earn his trust and made him feel comfortable. Her communication was proactive, reliable, and genuinely caring throughout the entire week. We couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter and would absolutely recommend Cortney to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet like family. Thank you so much, Cortney!

Christine did an amazing job taking special care, giving meds to our senior pup! Our pup can be tricky to give meds to, Christine was gentle and patient, and was able to give them to her. Christine was also great with communication and updates, and was very thoughtful in making sure Daisy was comfortable with her drop-in visits! I would definitely recommend Christine for helping with any pet needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
