“Watched my senior dog (14.5 years old) for 11 days. She requires medication, is partially blind, and deaf. Fiona sent pictures and video updates while I was on vacation. I was nervous about leaving her, but relaxed after seeing the updates. I would book with Fiona again.”

“Sreymom and her family are excellent caretakers. They understood that Axel prefers to stay with people rather than dogs, and accommodated his needs - very knowledgeable on the husky breed. He’s also on steroids so he has to be taken out more frequently than not. I know it wasn’t easy taking care of him, and Sreymom was excellent at being accommodating, patient, and understanding. He came home a very tired, peaceful, and happy boy. I will definitely book again, and highly recommend her to anyone! :)”

“Arly was wonderful. She sent updates and pictures each day or any time I texted her. My kitties aren't great in new spaces so they didn't fully warm up to her but she knew all the tricks to try to get the kitties to eat or to come out. One of my cats decided that she needed to lay in the laundry and Arly just let her. I will definitely be hiring her again the next time I need my kitties watched. Thank you Arly 😍😻😻”

“Lena was fantastic! She took wonderful care of my curious little beagle, who’s always following her nose and obsessed with food. Throughout the stay, Lena kept me updated with multiple photos and videos each day, which really put my mind at ease. It was clear my best friend was in great hands—playing happily with other dogs, enjoying time with her children, and going on plenty of walks. I truly appreciated the love and attention she gave her. I’ll definitely be a returning customer!”

“Julie was absolutely amazing and made my dog feel at home while I was out of town. She sent lots of pictures and videos to keep me updated. When I came to pick him up she even included a new toy that my dog had become obsessed with during his stay! I have nothing but great things to say about Julie! I know where my pup will stay from here on out!”

“We are so happy we had Buster stay with Lisa!! He got to go on some great adventures & long walks, and he seems like he really made himself at home. We appreciated the detailed updates and beautiful photos of Buster’s vacation!!”

“Tunyi was calm and wonderful with our dog. She made a special effort to encourage him to eat and sent many pictures and videos each day. Highly recommend!!”

“I highly recommend Lorena for pup-boarding! My jack-chi Philo stayed with Lorena and her family while I was out of town for 6 days, and - like someone else had mentioned about their dog - I feel like he had his own little vacation. My previous go-to sitter had moved out of town and I was a bit worried about finding someone who could meet the needs of my sensitive little boy. After reading Lorena's reviews, I had a very good feeling, and she even offered a meet and greet in person or phone beforehand. The care was excellent, with lots of pics of Philo out walking and updates. Their house was a great place for him too, with room to explore, get outside, and enjoy nature. And he even made some doggie friends while he was there. As Philo does sometimes, he wasn't eating all his food at first. After checking with me (I'd mentioned chicken is his favorite) Lorena gave him some chicken and he got a healthier appetite. The whole trip, I wasn't worried about Philo and knew he was in good hands which was a relief. Thank you Lorena!”

“Oksana took such good care of our little timid Kulfi and made sure to send photos throughout her stay. This was her very first boarding for more than 1 night and we felt reassured that she was in good hands while we were off getting married. We will absolutely use Oksana again for any trips we take. So grateful to have our new go-to caregiver!”

“Stephanie is so helpful that my two poodles love and feel so comfortable during their first stay! She sent me pictures and update their behaviors everyday and i will definitely book with her for their next stay!”

“Ling was very caring and sweet with Juno. She also sent lots of photos and videos which made me feel at ease since this was Juno’s first time staying with a stranger. I will definitely book with Ling again!”

“Ashley took great care of my dog while I was traveling She sent me updates with pictures daily. It was obvious she really cared about my dog. Knowing my dog was safe and being pampered while I was gone was priceless. I would definitely rebook Ashley and would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter you can trust.”

“Robin and her family were great with our dog and super easy to coordinate with. The bottomline question always seems to be: would we board with Robin again? Yes! We plan to.”

“My 14 year old corgi needed something a little more calm and quiet than the boarding kennel and this was the perfect fit. She is still very physically active and likes a good walk and some playtime but was able to spend the better part of her days comfortably snoozing and watching over people while they worked. She doesnt handle stairs very well anymore and hates being carried so i was happy this apartment had an elevator and ramps.”

“Anzhelika was great! She was very flexible with pick-up and drop-off time, which was very important for me. She is also at great location for people living in Bellevue downtown. Our dog seemed very happy and tired when he returned home :) Thank you so much!”

“Ana and her family are incredibly caring and understanding, even when we ran into some issues with our older dog. I’d recommend her to anyone! Thanks so much!”

“Sandra was amazing!. I was a little anxious since Perrin is still a young puppy but she sent lots of updates and pictures. He seemed to enjoy his stay a lot!”

“Top notch sitter! I needed help very last minute for a long trip and Nathan was SO accommodating and saved everything. I highly recommend them and will definitely use again! Thank you SO much!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Yarrow Point
I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! I did not worry about my baby the whole trip. I got regular updates and Henry went above and beyond. The moment we got there we were treated like family instead of a client. I will definitely be booking again after this extraordinary experience. Usually on a review individuals look for the cons in the situation, for the first time ever, I can’t complain about anything. 😀

Phoebe did a great job taking care of my labradoodle, Theo. We did a meet and greet with her labradoodle, Teddy, before boarding to make sure they got on well. Theo had a wonderful time playing with Teddy throughout his stay and I would board Theo with Phoebe again.

Cindy was fantastic with Frisko! She followed all care instructions, always replied promptly, and provided wonderful daily updates with lots of photos. It was clear she really understands dogs. Frisko has some separation anxiety and dog reactivity, and she handled everything with complete ease and care. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking with her again!

Julie is wonderful. She was relaxed and comfortable with my dog right away which put me at ease. She took great care of my little guy and he was tired out and very happy after his first stay. Julie was very easy to communicate with and sent picture updates each day which was such a nice touch. We booked our next stay with her right away!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
